This place is excellent! Very quick and friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and absolutely wonderful food. Ive tried their pad thai chicken and hibachi chicken, and I found both dishes to be seasoned perfectly--the meat is always moist, never dry or tough. The sushi is wonderful as well--they have a great selection, and even a few fun rolls named after the UNCW Seahawks (my favorite sushi now). Everything comes at a reasonable price as well (and for most entrees, youll be needing a takeout box). My friends and I have forsaken all other Asian restaurants in favor of Kyoto. We hope they continue to thrive and draw in new customers!

The food is outstanding! And we loved our server, she was great. It seems to occupy what used to be a Wendys, but trust me, do not be put off by the exterior. We had the larb gai (hot chicken salad app), orange chicken, and a Bento box. Every single thing was beautifully presented, easily affordable, and delicious. I dont usually do restaurant reviews but this place deserves your business. Weve hit a lot of Asian restaurants in the area and this surpassed them all.

Get the wontons. Stop what you are doing, get in your car, speed here the whole way, and get 12 orders of the wontons. You and everyone you tell about will thank me. Do you enjoy curry? Now you do! Get the penang curry and bask in the flavor you fool. Clearly someone would pay a premium for the right to consume pure tasty goodness. Youre so wrong! Haha. Come at lunch with a few bucks and live, truly live! Come and get some. Been a loyal customer for years. Enjoy!

Very impressed with my first experience dining at the Kyoto Asian Grille! I tried the Pla Sam Rod-catfish, it has a homemade sweet/spicy sauce that really compliments the fried catfish (VERY DELICIOUS!) I also tried the Seahawk & Rainbow sushi rolls and they were both prepared very well and tasted fresh- some of the best I have had. The food decor was also delightful and everything tasted just as awesome as it looked!! Definitely recommended..

What a phenomenal surprise this place was. From appetizers, the Thai, the Chinese, and the soups. Whether you are local or visiting this is a MUST for your Asian cuisine cravings. Decently priced, friendly staff, and knowledgeable chefs. We were well greeted, well taken care of by the wait staff and thanked for trying their restaurant. Great first experience! New repeat customer.

An absolutely amazing experience. We were served by an incredibly sweet and highly considerate waitress who took our less than simplistic order and allowed us a plethora of options with patience and genuine kindness. Pretty good food. Just have an issue serving everyone in your party at the same time. Every party in the restaurant had one person without their food for about half the meal of the others. I was told by the hostess that they dont have heat lamps, which speaks well for the freshness of the food.

Massaman curry with tofu was too sweet for my taste, but I generally do not like a lot of sugar. Before ordering, I should have asked if tofu was fried, which I prefer, but it wasnt. Miso soup was delicious. Only red wine choice was Sutter Home by the glass. Server was very friendly and prompt.

After reading the reviews I had to try it. My girlfriend and I had crab wontons, spicy tuna roll, egg drop soup, Thai Basil with Shrimp and Pad See Ewe with Tofu. Everything was amazing and half the price of Indoshine. Will definitely get again if I can ever finish these leftovers.

In Wilmington for conference and stopped in for lunch on first day here. Food was excellent and fresh, nice relaxing atmosphere, and food came out promptly around the noon lunch hour. Would definitely return.

First time eating there today. Ordered the lunchbox special for $4.95 charged me for dinner. Also ordered vegetable sushi and the avocado was brown. Yuck! Other than that the hibachi food and service was good.
