Used to order here 3 sometimes 4 times a week the food was really great when the older gentleman was there and he turned it over to his daughter and she raised the prices. And the food taste started to get bad. Now the son has it and he also raised the price yet again. The food is terrible. I dont know what method they are using but you can call what they doing fried rice. The garlic sauce taste more like furniture polish and molasses. I bought all my good back and they apologized and said they would re cook my food. They took the rice and put it back in this big pot and stirred it around and put it back on my plates and I was like hell no. Just give me my money back and told h I seen what they did. At first he refused and I stood outside and told everyone that came up what they did so they called the cops and when they got there I told them what happened and since they took the food back they had to give me my money but before they did they gave me the order and I opened it in front of the cops and the cop said that looks like a big horse spit in the corner of the steamed rice and I told him it was supposed to be fried rice. The owner / son looked it it and said something in his native language and they said it was the Mexican girl that spit in it. But I never seen her leave the drive thru window. The cop said whoever did it was a nasty human being and he was going to tell all of his coworkers not to order anything else from here. He told me I could stand on the sidewalk and and say whatever I wanted so I spent the next 4 hours telling people what happened and I plan on making this a weekly thing.

I walked in and was Immediately greeted and seated. I had just come from HEB so I had a bag of groceries I accidentally set a beverage on the table but I had all intentions to buy a drink. Im sure if I had ordered a drink the guy would have brought me one but since I had set the drink on the table he automatically thought I was trying to save money which I honestly think is pretty cool he didnt even ask what I wanted to drink. The guy brought me a menu no more then thirty seconds after I sat down. He showed me the incredibly cheap lunch specials. they were all between $4.59 and $5.49. They all come served w/ and egg roll or crab rangoon. I chose the Crab rangoon It was awesome. I also had the Hot and sour soup which runs $1.39 a bowl. It is also served w/ fried wan tons. My order was taken promptly and the soup came out almost immediately and by the time I had finished my soup the food was on the way, it came out steaming hot I could tell it had just come out of the kitchen. The food was great the price was great and the service was great and Ill definitely be going back. I hate paying for over priced food especially since I have attended culinary art school. I love a great meal at a fair price which the price I paid was way more then fair.

This place has gone downhill ever since the owner stopped running the place and has hired new people. Me and my husband used to always ritually eat here but since the last time, NEVER AGAIN. It pains me to see this once staple of the east side lose its touch. We went for lunch one afternoon and ordered out usual, the price was higher than we usually paid wich was disturbing and even more so when i saw that the portions were exceptionally less than weve become accustomed to getting. So basically weve started paying more money for less food. While we were waiting for our order a couple came in and when they saw the new staff they instantly had a gut feeling about the different in the place so they turned around and left. I dont blame them. When we opened up our to go plated, the portion were poor and the taste was NOT the same. My husband ordered EXTRA EXTRA spicy and when i tasted it, it was not spicy at all. We used to be so loyal to this place, but now its sad to say we will never return and take our business elsewhere, idk maybe well try Lung Fung on W.W. White. At least their portion fit the price. R.I.P Wen-Wah, we had memories there :(

This place is a roach motel. Litteraly its infested with them. I work there so know this things first hand. Richard one of the owners (cashier) puts up a false facade . He will smile in youre face and great you. But will talk about his customers to other customers once they leave .Also has a bad habit of over chargeing at the register.Play close attention when paying. Then theres the case of recycleing food .Both Richard and his wife Jennifer (cook) will save rice from the already served plates (meals) along with any meats remaing . These are eyewitness facts. Theres also the issue of no lights on in the parking lot . The surrounding area is not known for being the friendliest places once night falls. They over work and under pay there workers mistreating them verbally and physically. Preferring to higher elegal immigrants who arent aware of the Texas Labour laws. A series of things that are wrong with this place can and will be listed in the future. NOTE: look twice before putting a spoonful in your mouth................

Horrible horrible horrible Chinese food. Im not understanding why they have such good reviews but Im a great critic. Seriously the worst Chinese food Ive ever eaten. I didnt think you could go wrong with Chinese food. The egg rolls have way too much pepper in them. As soon as you bite into them thats all you can taste and see. You cant even taste the crab in the crab ragoons and the cream cheese doesnt even taste like cream cheese... Im not sure why the rice is so yellow but its not fried rice like they usually make at Chinese restaurants and the beef tasted like dog food. The only thing I liked was there sweet tea and the broccoli. Horrible horrible horrible tasting food worst Chinese food Ive ever eaten. I will definitely never eat there again. No matter how hungry I am.

You know, at first when I saw it, it looked very sketchy. Like crazy sketchy to where I would think I would get sick...but no. One afternoon I was out on a drive and decided I want some Asian food. I have no Asian food place near me other than Panda Express (15min drive) so I decided to take a chance on The Wen Wah. It was convenient to me since it was literally 3-4 minutes away from home. I have to say it is the best I have ever had! Especially the Egg Drop soup! Best ever. What I always get off the Menu is Combination fried rice with an order of egg rolls and egg drop soup. I can honestly recommend it!

Took my nephew here to try out their food a week ago, I had had the curry chicken (which was great with big soft pieces of chicken) and he had the plate he normally orders at Chinese restaurants with beef and veggies and he loved it!...said it was the best hes had ina long time. Yeah, the place looks pretty ghetto but when ya have their food ya understand where their investments go. Great prices, BIG servings and the Asian folks who run the place are just super nice. PS: Be patient. They always try to get you your food as fast as they can but do get a lil busy sometimes plus they make everything fresh.
