If I could give a negative I would. If I could post a pic of this general chicken I would. I bought it to go and I had to GO home and recook it. Flavor wasnt horrible but the chicken meat was complete crap and made me think it might be cat. Not cooked all the way. Chewy and sub par meat. Took it home and tried to fry it and it still was so bad I couldnt eat it. I shouldve known. When I walked in there was absolutely no-one except the workers. Which consisted of a counter guy and one cook. Two meals costs 25 bucks. Charged me 2 dollars for a can of coke. Not me again. Ever

They make the best fried rice and have menu items that are hard to find at other places. Im very picky about Chinese food (used to work at a Chinese restaurant and kind of got set in my ways for how things should taste to me), and they have nailed it. Unfortunately, we moved last year to the other side of the city but sometimes I still make my husband drive out there for me, ha. Very fast service and a lot of food for the money. The owners are super nice people.

I let the google reviews fool me, this food was terrible. I got the lemon chicken dinner special and the chicken tasted like fried Tysons chicken (chicken fillet sliced in strips...that wasnt what I expected). The food was very bland, no taste at all. The only commendable part of the meal, which was average, was the egg drop soup. Man, this was disappointing and so not worth the price.

So Ive been in the hospital for 4 days and craved Chinese food! I read the reviews and said why not. Boy was I wrong. Ordered the Generals Tso Chicken with fried rice. Sauce was to sweet with no spic, chicken strips? Thats a first, but were very soggy and mushy. The rice Oh my very bland and dry. Disappointed and waste of money, I couldnt eat it :(

It was terrible. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and got a breaded chicken breast that you would get out of a box in the grocery store and it was sliced up with a few pieces of carrot on top. Ive never seen anything like it. Little Ceasars is right next door and that is gourmet compared to this. There is no way I would eat here again.

This is my go to place. I have Regents on speed dial. I probable pick up from here at least once a week. Everything is great from appetizers, entrees, specialty entrees and a la cart items. I absolutely LOVE their chicken fried rice and beef skewers! I highly recommend this place!

My family loves this place. We try to eat there at least twice a month as it is kinda far from us, but it is so worth it. You can tell the food is always fresh and the owners are always making sure you are taken care of. I highly recommend this place.

Chicken fried rice is made out of Jasmine rice . It should be made out of basmathi rice . When inquired hotel manager does not know the difference between two rice . Besides in chicken fried rice , there is no chicken pieces at all

Not fancy by any means, but great food and very consistent! Service is great, food is great - quantity AND quality. Kung Pao Chicken and the Triple Delight are my recommendations. Very inexpensive for the amount of food you get.

We are finding it very good. Freshly prepared food. Hot and tasty. Mencius sells the same food without the soup for lunch for 2 dollars more a plate. A very pleasant atmosphere with friendly service from the owners themselves.

Love this place! Been eating here for decades (though it wasnt Regent in the early years). I believe the wonton soup is the best in San Antonio, but its made fresh daily, so it varies between good and awesome.

always hearty portions and they carve a rose for plate decoration every time. the only thing i dont like is that the carry out is not as good as dining in. like it gets too much steam inside the strofoam box.
