So we walk in, busy, think its a good sign. Crowded up front by entrance, so much so I got some Asian dude mouth breather breathing on my neck and arm he was so close. Personal space a cultural thing? Polite hostess but I didnt come for people, came for food. So we sit in back left where its very clean but tables are at least cleared, just not wiped. Walls, chairs, table, floor...all dirty. Tables are too close together also, so if the people next to you are heavier set people, prepare to be cramped and sacrifice scooting in to uncomfortable levels since space between is so limited. (Think a suped up F150 in a compact parking spot). We go to get our food and tried a little of everything that looked edible. (BBQ looked gross, but its a chinese buffet so...yea). We get our food and the chicken for lemon chicken (watered down sauce is on the side) was so overcooked and dry. The eggdrop soup was good. The green beans had great flavor but were very uncooked as well. More like they just warmed them up in the oil & seasoning. The broccoli & cheese had yummy velveeta like cheese but the broccoli itself was STRAIGHT RAW. Not great for those with a retainer or dentures or loose teeth. Chicken fried rice was cooked with good flavor but nothing special. Sesame chicken had the better chicken and good flavor but didnt appear to actually have any sesame seeds and tasted more like a teriyaki BBQ chicken. "Fortune cookies" werent even fortunes. Got things like, "Everyone has ambitions." and "Those who are afraid to ask questions are ashamed to learn." And the cookies tasted a slightly stale. Sushi wasnt totally terrible according to my hubby who hails from Seattle but it wasnt really worth go back for either. Dessert selection didnt appear very appetizing and they put chocolate on bread pudding...who does that? Best part was (sarcasm) near the end of our meal, during desserts actually, there was a small fast crawling bug under my seat! Yea...right near the kitchen...right after we already ate... I informed the waitress and she said shed "let them know," but no one came to see, confirm, or even apologize. And we waited. Told them up front when I was leaving and they just said, "Oh. Sorry." Thats it. Not gonna do anything about it? Not even gonna ask what kind of bug? Size? Nothing?! Got the feeling its wasnt news to them!! Needless to say, were never going back and Ill be letting everyone know. Also, i hate all the previous reviews who lied and said its all good.

First let me say that I am Asian, from an Asian country. So, I am a little bit more critical of Asian restaurants. That being said, the first thing I noticed was the price. Both my fiançé and I arrived at 2:00 PM on a Friday (non-holiday). As we entered the door, we were greeted by a woman at the register who asked us what we wanted to drink. We stated water, and then we were charged $10 each...before we even saw the food. We were then escorted to our table. The service IS really good. The wait-staff work together like a well-oiled machine to clean tables, refill drinks, and ensure customers were cared for...and there were a lot of customers! Now to the food: It is okay. The sushi is mostly "Fusion" style. You will not get any "Nigiri-style" sushi. It all has some sauce on it like HEB sushi. Before you say, "Who cares?" remember that there are many Chinese Buffet restaurants that do this so much better and for a cheaper per-person price. The rest of the buffet food was not pleasing to the eye and not great to eat. It appeared to be there a while and tasted like it also. The potstickers were only good if you got the top ones. The bottom ones were soggy. The fried rice was mediocre, but the gĺass noodles were actually quite good. They do a good job with the Ameriican food: Ribs, fried chicken, whisky chicken, etc. I was under-whelmed with my experience for $10. If you are looking for a buffet that you can get full and waddle out to your vehicle, this is the place. Otherwise, Panda Express serves equally mediocre quality Chinese food...but then again, thats a fast-food restaurant. Just like a McAllisters sandwich should be better than Subway, so Chopsticks should be better than Panda Express. Many people eat at Choosticks and it tastes good to them. Maybe youll like it too.

We went to chopsticks on a Sunday afternoon. This restaurant was very crowded you can tell by the parking lot. When we got up to the front door there was a line to get a plastic number that would later be used to call out when it was your time for seating. I have one suggestion at this point mr. Chopsticks owner leap into the twentieth century and get the little hockey pucks that light up whens time for seating. This odd number system you use may have kept your overhead down for all these years but it creates such a cluster right at the entrance to your restaurant. It creates such an unpleasant environment right at the entrance to your restaurant enough to send people away. Which brings me to the second suggestion, charging for the meal the minute you step in instead of waiting for the meal to be over seems a bit odd,,,,? how can I judge what my tip is going to be if I havent had service yet? Now lets get to the food there was ample selections it was mostly hot the server ours Rakim was very attentive and stayed on top of our drinks and plates very professionally. The atmosphere is quite loud so if youre looking for a quiet night out this is not for you. However if youre looking for an ample selection of American and Chinese food also will little Hispanic food thrown in for good measure there is plenty of it and for a reasonable price.

So I love Chinese Buffets! No judgement, No Mercy! I have visited a few in my lifetime. There are three major requirements for me that a Chinese Buffet should have and do well. 1. Lo Mein usually fried noodles but at Chopsticks they are boiled. Not as appetizing or appealing. 2. General Tzo usually breaded chicken breast deep fried but these were squishy inside and not filled with chicke. But with what seemed like cartilage bits. 3. Crab Puffs. These were excellent! Loved the cream cheese filling. I wouldnt call Chopsticks a Chinese Buffet. NOW IF YOU LOVE BBQ !! This is THE Place! Steaks- Juicy, tender, tasty, big pieces of grilled steak Bourbon Chicken- Juicy, tender all white chicken breast slathered in tangy bourbon sauce Served fresh off the grill to your plate. Also amazing sides... Mash Potatoes, tradditional Mac and cheese, corn, coleslaw, baked potato!! Sushi is also pretty good but its limited to 6 types and they mostly involve avocado as their main course. I gave them 2 stars because they dont reach my expectations of a Chinese Buffet but had it been called Chopsticks BBQ Restaurant They wouldve received a higher rating. PS great variety of dessert! Cheesecakes, flan and ice cream, oh my!

We found this place sort of by accident when we moved in to this area of town. We have eaten here for 5 years. My Daughter who is now 12 has loved eating here since she was 6. As a matter of fact when we asked her where she wanted eat to "celebrate" school starting next week she picked here. This place is a typical Chinese restaurant, with a buffet. I find it funny but they have some Mexican food on there (but hey is Texas!) What separates this restaurant is the food. The buffet is really good and plentiful. A real plus is they grill steaks to order. It took me a while to find that out, as I always just ate the Chinese food. Anyway, the food is very good. I do not drink but they look to have a well stocked bar if that is your thing. The restaurant is large and pretty Family oriented (in other words lots of young kids) so its louder and not intimate. Not meant to be and not to the point of distraction. The price is $12. Per person including drink. I think it is priced correctly. Overall, this is a great place to eat, take the family. The food is excellent the service is adequate. I would recommend this place.
