It was a dark and...outside seating hidden in the back. In addition, small indoors and outside front seating accommodates a surprising number of diners. Crunchy bread and olive dip was a welcome start. Dishes were well seasoned, plated attentively, and thoughtfully flavored. Excellent tzatziki was a satisfyingly dense creaminess with tiny dices of cucumber crunchiness. Ample beef and chicken shish was tender with faint taste of lemon. Rice was perfectly cooked and had a definite pleasing texture. Bulgar wheat was filling and side vegetables had smoky aura from the grill. French fries seemed to be twice fried, a bit salty, a bit disappointing.This is a nice place to relax, enjoy and converse.

We went there on Valentines day, sort of by accident.... and the menu was not at all what we expected. It was way more American than Turkish (I prefer Turkish). But the place is pleasant enough. We were told while reserving that there was no corkage fee, which turned out not to be true (but they did not charge us). I might go back, depending what they decide to do with corkage. And Id like to eat some of the food I came for in the first place :)

We had a nice dinner here. They have nice wine and beer options from Turkey and that region. Food was very good, portions were larger than average. The red lentil soup was fantastic and not what I expected. Service was very good and friendly. Its a big pricey but its Los Altos. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Will be back. I think lunch here would also be great.

Lovely place with neighbourhood feel and kind staff. Menu had a lot of things that tempted me but I went with the waiters suggestion of the Beyti kebab and it was excellent, if generous portion. Also tried the feta rolls, which were interesting if a bit boring. Home made baklava was delicious though, and the perfect end to the meal!

My wife and I met some friends here for dinner and the food was generally very good and the service capable. The moussaka held together well and my wife had lamb which I dont normally like but I tried some and it was not gamey at all. Our waters were regularly refilled and the turnaround time for the main entrees was good.

We visited Urfa Bistro on a Friday night. It was half full. The bread was good. The hot appetizer combo was OK but not great. The Beyti kebab was good as was the moussaka and the chicken kebab. The service is closer to a fast casual restaurant than a top end restaurant which is to say OK but not great.

Really excellent Turkish food! The staff obviously cares a lot about the menu, and there isnt one dish Ive tried that I havent liked. Highlights include the spanakopita, all kebabs, and the baklava. Definitely check it out if youre in the mood for Mediterranean!

Beautifully presented, fresh, well prepared Turkish/Mediterranean food with excellent quality ingredients in a somewhat noisy bistro atmosphere. The owner and greeters always make you feel very special. Pro tip: the patio is lovely, quieter, and has heaters.

Nice authentic mediterranean food. The moussaka was juicy and rich. The cold appetizer sampler platter covers a lot. The bread was a bit dry and boring. Tastes were fresh. As is normal for Los Altos its not cheap, but the service is good.

1st visit: Order a lemonade. Order a combo plate. It has beef, chicken and lamb skewers. The best of this place has to offer. 2nd visit: Order the fish plate. It is a full fish. Eat it carefully
