I had been wanting to try this place sine it opened. Today, we were in the area so I was really excited. Upon entering, a tall, pleasant black man greeted us with great enthusiasm. At the time of ordering, we ordered 1lb of brisket, spicy sausage and 2 jalapeño torpedoes. I noticed a top layer of fat on the brisket that my daughter and I would not eat. I kindly asked the black gentleman with pretty eyes who was carving if he could cut the fat off for us. Before I finished my sentence, he had absolutely no problem in doing so and was very nice. The menu states for moist or lean brisket option. The nice gentlemen then said next time ask for "skinny lean brisket". Ok, well maybe that should be an option on their menu? On the other hand, the heavier set white male at the scale seemed to have a problem that I had asked for the fat to be removed and made it very apparent. He then said the "fats the best part. A few seconds later, another employee decided to come over and give his 2 cents saying "its gonna have some fat". While I do understand both statements to be true for some people, I AM THE PAYING CUSTOMER, and if I want my fat cut off, then cut it off. There are way too many good BBQ joints here in Texas for these employees to make any comments to paying customers. My intentions were not to get more bang for my buck by trimming the fat, I just dont eat the flabby fat on any of my meats. The mac n cheese and spicy sausage was good. The brisket lacked flavor and was dry. The Carolina sauce was just ok but a good brisket doesnt even need sauce in my opinion. Would much rather have roll options than bread. The inside was nice and clean. Needless to say, poor customer service is the biggest turn off even if you have decent food. I will NEVER eat at this place again. It was all about customer service for me today.

This is honestly one of my favorite BBQ places! Cool set up, I hadnt been in a while and they added so much additional seating and live music on Saturday nights. I love the location and the set up! The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the brisket is not reliable :( its sometimes super tender and juicy and then other times its acceptable, but harder than normal. If I had it this way at first then I wouldnt order every time expecting it to be the way I love that they make it. I used to say they have the best brisket but Im honestly not sure this is true anymore as it has been a long time since Ive had amazing brisket from them. I wish it was the same time every time. Their St. Louis style ribs were devastatingly good! Carolina BBQ sauce does not work for me, but I love the honey BBQ. Their rolls were amazing, sooo good and I didnt realize they were sweet. I was doing the no carb thing for a while so I hadnt tried them until this time. Their mac and chees was definitely super creamy while not being overly cheesy, as a hesitant mac and cheesist, I would give that a 5 star rating. My boyfriend orders mac and cheese everywhere possible and has high standards he gave it the thumbs up as well. He really liked it. Beans with carrots are not my thing, but it might be someones. Overall this place is great, I just wish theyd get their brisket consistent.

Very disappointing. Do not go here if you want good BBQ. I think they put all their effort into making a cool looking BBQ building and not in making the food taste good. My husband (a Texan) and I were in Texas only two days and we wanted to get some good BBQ before we left the states. Sadly, we picked Ten50. The guys outside that serve your meat were hating life and possibly us as they drudgingly gave us our meat. Maybe it was to hot outside for them? There are two lines for meat but you cant tell if staff members are standing on the second line to serve you or not so everyone piles into the first line and the staff doesnt bother to tell you that the second line is open. Granted again maybe just too hot for them to think straight. The inside staff was much nicer. The ribs were stiff not anywhere close to fall off the bone. The brisket was tuff and not very tastey. The BBQ sauce, mac and cheese, and beans were not very good at all. Best thing they have going for them is dessert and even that wasnt amazing just standard but good none the less. The bartender was friendly but on a Friday night at 6:30 pm they were out of quit a few of their beer selections. In a city full of great food options you really cant afford to be this bad. Just go to Dickeys if youre seriously considering questionable BBQ, Dickeys is better than this place and you will save money.

On Saturday, June 10 I brought a large party for my sons graduation to 1050 bbq for a celebration lunch. Many of my guests were from out of town, so I need everything to be perfect. First, our table was ready and waiting in a perfect location of the restaurant when I arrived. Once my guest arrived the customer service, experience and food were level 100. The set up was explained to my smiling and excited guests in a lively and descriptive way, that set up their anticipation to sample great bbq. That personal touch amped our experience. As my guests ordered their food and passed the weigh station, the meat cutters were extremely personable and even made some jokes that kept the smiles going days after our meal. The food was fantastic. Plenty of napkins tucked into shirts. Onion rings, okra, banana pudding and the magnificent succulent beef ribs were the highlight of our lunch. This place also has an awesome glass of tea. The manager and waitstaff and even the cashier took everything about our day into the stratosphere. Our guests were full and happy. As a hostess, you always want to leave an impression on your guests. 1050 helped me do that. I frequent this place very often for awesome brisket and stuffed jalapenos. I am now a fan of the beef ribs. Thank you 1050 BBQ.

- Overbooks catering, then covers with temp crews, then takes no accountability for their failure to serve all the foods your purchased. - End result: not all guests got the food we purchased (many missed out on sides + received absurdly small portions), they brought store-bought loafs of white bread instead of their rolls and then didnt even serve it to all the guests either, and then packed away enough meat and sides leftovers in the mother-in-laws vehicle to feed a family for weeks because they had failed to serve it to guests properly. - Responded to my wifes emails a month late with no apology, no accountability, nor any refund. Our 100 guests and their friends know to stay away. - Since they decided to email her today with marketing spam, I decided to post this review. Email said "we just wanted to reach out and remind you that Ten50 provides on and off site catering as well as delivery and to go orders"... as if we didnt know that? Come on. - Fully regret trying to give them a chance to make it right, as they conveniently took so long to respond that chargebacks were no longer an option. - BBQ in the restaurant itself was delicious, which is why we wanted them to cater.
