This place used to be great. However, the last several times Ive been there its been somewhere between a disappointment and a disaster. For example, staff that disappears never to be seen again, multiple orders that are wrong. During a recent visit, the place smelled overwhelmingly of oil-based paint. Apparently some repairs had been done but management decided to keep it open despite the entire restaurant reeking of paint that had not dried yet. In addition, the music was so low you couldnt even detect anything except an occasion beat that indicated something was playing (some much for blues music). When we asked the server if it could be turned up, we were met with a blank stare and were told that management didnt want it playing. What is the point of a blues-themed BBQ joint that has bad food, bad service, and no blues music? SMH.

As a traveler by trade I can say Ive experienced a myriad of culinary delights from around the United States that left me sated without desire for even scraps; however, Red Hot and Blue has proven to exist outside the standard barbeque paradigm by elevating the flavors to a level unheard of by common folk. Blues music and paraphernalia decorate the somewhat cramped yet inviting rooms, walls and menus exuding a truly southern experience that also educates the curious minded individual. Passing on a chance to gourmandise in such a fashion would be, in no other words except, a travesty to ones self.

Just left RHB. Waiter took a Long time to deliver my tea after a long fast talking speech. I asked for lemon. His response was "did I ask for it? With a smug look on his face. Then he asked if I knew his name? No I had not heard it the first tint. I believe he said it was Taylor. He took my order and left. About two minutes later he come out with the tea, no lemon, and ignored me as he checked up on other customers. When he went back to the kitchen, I threw $5.00 on the table and left. I could only see things going down hill from there. He was very sure that he was a stud.

Having eaten at the Dallas location several times I was excited to see one closer to me. Walking in at 8pm on a Saturday night and only seeing about 7 occupied tables should have been my warning. The food is just ok, not great. The service was horrible. I waited almost 20 min after ordering a dessert for them to bring me cold peach cobbler. (The crust didnt even look cooked). All the server said when i asked him to take it back was "my bad". With so many other barbecue joints in the area I honestly dont know how these people are still in business.

Went on 4/23/16. I got the five meat treat so I could sample a bit of everything. The "BBQ" was extremely dry, lacked even the slightest bit of smoked flavor, and the sauces were bland. They even left the membrane on the back of the ribs. This is a no-no, and any pitmaster worth their salt could tell you that. The sides were nothing special either. Im not sure why people are giving this place 4/5 stars honestly. A near empty parking lot at 6:30pm should have been the first clue before I wasted my time here.

I ordered to go, and the service was not bad at all. The food however, sub par. I got a five meat plate to try a bit of everything, and it was so disappointing, the lack of flavor. The beans tasted like Bushs Baked beans right out of the can. The bbq sauce had a consistency of ketchup, and really not a good flavor. The potato salad was very dry, but the coleslaw was pretty good. I have never had bbq where they do not provide pickle and onion with the meal either. Overall, it was just not good.

Clean restaurant, great service & great prices, but THE FOOD IS AMAZING. The Ribs w/ Potato Salad and greens.... give me a break. I cant get enough of Red Hot & Blue I have been to Redevoux and Interstate in Memphis, and believe me, they are DELICIOUS. That is why I love Red Hot & Blue. I went in expecting an average experience, but was blown away. I will take RH&B over any BBQ place off of Beale St, and I will stand by that for good!

My husband and I had dinner there on 8/19 and we had some really good service from Lindie AND the Manager, Leonard. VERY attentive and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and orderly and ALL the employes were friendly and helpful. Everyone there acted as though they really wanted to be there and were enjoying themselves...rare find these days. The food was good too. Thank you Red, Hot & Blues BBQ.

Customer service was great but the food was not worth the price. The meat was dry, the corn on the cob was also dry and looked like someone had already chewed on it. The whoke plate looked stale and microwaved. I ordered a drink from the bar that seemed melted and watered down. Its unfortunate, I had hoped to find good bbq near our home but this is definately not it.

Food was great, service was even better. Only downside was that the server wanted us to KNOW his name. He repeated it 3 or 4 times. Upsides everything else including his service was fantastic. Planning to go again this business trip and enjoy some more delicious food. Recommend the pulled chicken salad!

It was okay. We ordered fried pickles, ribs, and potato salad. The fried pickles were good and came out fresh. The food was luke warm when we received it, the flavor was okay. I really think you best bet is to go to the Dallas location. Ive never had an issue there!

Good food but Super slow service. Glad I dont have to get back to the office today. OMG, asked the server for ETA on food, he got all snippy and snotty. Then when he finally brought our food he slammed the dishes on the table. We obviously will not be back.

I really like the pulled pork and the sauces. I dont get the sandwich! I think its called poe boy or something like that. The bun is pretty big. I request they not put the Cole slaw on top of the meat. I get the potato salad too.. Good Eating.

The food is not good as expected. Nothing like anything in Memphis. The hot wings were not hot they were more smoked wings without hot seasoning. The sweet potato fries were soggy. The only thing I like here are the salads.
