We came in Wednesday evening a little late, but we were out celebrating my friend visiting before his deployment to Cuba, and he wanted this was his first time to Dallas and he wanted to try good BBQ and 18th and Vine popped up as the number one place to try. So off we went. We came in atound 930, at first it seemed as though they were a little upset that we came in so close to closing time, and that nobody really wanted to serve us. So we waited a little bit to be greeted. But then Cindy showed up to the table and the whole mood changed. It felt very welcoming and inviting. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the cocktail menu, and on top of that just very courteous, kind and professional. The food was awesome. I am originally from Kansas so I love the Boulevard beer selection, and then I loved the meat selection of bbq it was awesome as well. I also lived in Charelston, SC so all the southern style dishes were awesome as well. I loved the atmosphere and aura of the restaurant, reminds me of home. When its all said and done we had an awesome dining experience and a great time. From one server to another thank you Cindy for your time and awesome dining experience. I will definatly be recomending this place to fellow friends and returning myself. :)

Lets start with a good thing first, Location of this restaurant is actually ideal and easy to find parking across the street do not park at the dry cleaners behind they will tell tow you. This is a new facility so atmosphere is excellent I can really see this place be more of a fine dining Italian restaurant with a little casual aspect to it that a barbecue place Set at the bar at 1:30 PM not busy at all on Monday after Thanksgiving. I watered the two plate special with one side $16 I have the brisket untrimmed in the pulled pork The brisket fat was phenomenal but the meat itself was dry and disappointing I guess that that made up for the dryness in the meat it was not moist at all or used a lot of the barbecue sauce. I like pulled pork I like it a little bit more with spice. I found it very bland the better tasting with the barbecue sauce They had a weird Spicer North Carolina that was too sweet for me please leave that in North Carolina. I have one suggestion they should put hooks underneath the bar so you can put your bag on it or code on it as well I give it a three- four for atmosphere but a two star or less for the meet quality that I ate that day sorry Rudys barbecue is better than this

Went today for the first time and seriously doubt that my friends and I will go back. We have no idea how good or bad the food might be because my two friends and I gave up after waiting more than a half hour of our lunch hour while everyone around us ate their meals. Cant imagine why our order was held up (and may still be held up, for all I know) given that we had a reservation, arrived exactly on time and the restaurant wasnt crowded when we ordered. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked our waiter where our order was, and he told us "everybody came in at once." FYI: Thats what happens at restaurants around the noon hour. We asked for tea refills to help bide our time and were told that there was none available, but that some was being brewed. How a BBQ restaurant in Texas can run out of tea at 12:35 p.m. on a Wednesday is beyond me, but it happened. I swear. The waiter then told us he was getting a manager. So we waited another five minutes. The manager never came. Neither did any food or tea. I ended up grabbing a 7-11 hot dog on the way back to he office and it was pretty darn good for the money. Heres hoping these folks can get their lunch act together. Our group wont be holding them back.

Went there last Friday night for Dinner. A few friends and I decided to try it out after the major Buzz it had been getting. I ordered the Kansas City Strip with a side of Jalapeño Cheese Grits, while my friends shared Matts Pick and the Burnt Ends (best thing Ive ever eaten) with Okra, Seasoned Fries and BBQ Mashed Potatoes. Steak was phenomenal, it was seemingly cooked in a wood - fired grill, because it definitely had hints of smoke. Everybody raved about the okra, so I gave in a tried it. I never eat okra but will DEFINITELY BE having it the next time I go back!! My friends also loved the Burns ends and Brisket best. If you go, try some of their entrées, they are Chef - driven and everyone Ive tried thusfar has been out of this world. Extremely happy to have Authentic Kansas City BBQ here in Dallas!!!

Sat at the bar... took several minutes for someone to show up and she only gave me menus. The bartender eventually made an appearance and offered me a drink, not even welcoming me or even saying hello... I think he was just a waiter put behind the bar. Got my water and beer and then nothing. No explanation of the menu, no suggestions, nada. The food might be fantastic, or not, but I dont even care. If the service sucks whats the point? Ive bartended for many years and managed restaurant for almost as long and the service was below subpar. I will not be back! I left and went to Maple & Motor for a burger and no, I dont have an interest with them. Cheers and happy eating!

I live around the corner and I dropped by to grab some takeout. They were sadly out of burnt ends (but thats to be expected since burnt ends are DELICIOUS) so I ordered the brisket, untrimmed. While I waited, the bartender was super kind and the atmosphere at the downstairs bar (thats the only part I saw this visit) was fantastic, good music and the decor was super cool. But let me tell you, the brisket was absolutely amazing and Im glad I ordered it. The price was a little steep but for how good it was? It was totally worth it and fulfilled my BBQ craving! I cant wait to bring my friends here and actually sit down, have a few drinks and really enjoy the place.

This is very authentic KC style BBQ, which means a true Texan is going to have to adjust their expectations. Everything is a little sweeter but delicious. The burnt ends are a staple of KC BBQ and 18th & Vine does them right. I also had the turkey and the mac and cheese and both were very good. The atmosphere is awesome and it is a fun place to just go experience. They also have Boulevard beer on tap which is a must try. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that the price is a little high for what you get, but well worth it to experience a different style of BBQ if you never have before.

Had a wonderful lunch meeting here last week. The design and architecture elements of 18 & Vine are wonderful. I remember when you didnt even dare slow down when you were in this area. Now you have great dinning. I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the locals standing around the bar enjoying burned tips and white wine. This joint is a short jump, skip, and hop from #LoveField . So I f you find yourself flying into #Dallas stop on in and enjoy some good old fashion Kansas City style BBQ in the heart of Dallas. Crazy but so good.
