Frequent cafeteria-style post-Sunday Mass destination with a crew of several. Awesome meat plates. I always get the brisket and black pepper sausage combo. The crew behind the counter have a special jingle they enact for every type of order. Sides are all you care to shovel down your gullet. My standards are the mac n cheese and green beans. Great desserts are available, such as pie by the slice. Hot rolls are continuously shuttled around by a server with a basket. Keep a small supply of butter pats for that and your sides. The real treat is the free large scoops of Blue Bell vanilla in glass sundae dishes brought around on a tray. If youre particularly insistent, you can get more than one. Fountain drinks and tea with self-service refills. Old-fashioned wood table country eatery atmosphere. Gospel music playing overhead. This is a true 5-star destination without a doubt.

We have been to most BBQ places in the Richardson area (a lot in Dallas, Plano, and Ft Worth too), and Spring Creek is the best. From the Brisket, ribs and turkey to the potato salad, beans, and condiments... and the fresh, hot (right out of the oven) mini-bread loaves. The food is aces. The staff and management are usually smiling and make an effort to be friendly. Oh! Almost forgot the fresh fried okra... be sure to order it right away, as you are ordering your meat; it takes a few minutes to get it to your table (hey... it’s fried to order); you can even get it fried extra long for extra crispy, just like I like it. They do have fresh baked peach cobbler with ice cream that is also awesome, but with free refills on all the sides I personally never have room left to put it.

I have been going to this place several times in the last few months, since the time I stumbled upon this....I have been doing take-aways, but nevertheless, looking at the ambience and the food and the service, I am sure the dine-in is equally amazing. The staff here is very polite and helpful...Even on weekends, when its heavily crowded, they are very particular with every customer.....During my last visit, Maggie (at the take-away counter) was super sweet....When I asked for some pickles, she was thoughtful enough to check if I wanted to have some peppers along with that as well !!! (and I believe, small, meticulous thoughts like this makes a lot of difference)...I like it now more than Rudys and a quite a few other places that I have been to.....

It sounds crazy to talk about okra at a BBQ place but it is the best okra you will ever have. Fried to order, not over brewers, done just right. It is traditional cafeteria style ordering, the staff is always friendly. Just be ready to let them know what you want when you get to the front of the line. Great sides, deserts, tea, and loading le the b est rolls in town. I know they have branched out to different parts of town now, but I have been going to the original my entire life. Each time I go home the wife and kids know where we are eating first. A few year ago I drug my wife there 3 days in a row. I cant get good okra where I live, or BBQ for that matter.

Never have had a bad experience here. Loved the food, the rolls are always wonderfully warm and they used to have amazing homemade peach cobbler topped with a scoop of vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and I was in heaven. Been a lot of places since but have never had as good of an experience. If you like very vinegary tasting sauce then youll like Dickeys and we do go there occasionally, but my taste buds long for Spring Creek Barbeque in Richardson, Texas.

I dont know what it is about this specific location - but they served me the best chicken of my life. Ive paid $50+ dollars for a chicken entree before, and recieved worse chicken that what I ate here. This is coming from someone who eats chicken more than any other protein. 100% didnt expect the level of flavor, juiciness or perfectly crispy skin that was given to me. Blew my socks of completely.

In the novel "You need to say Hello before you say Goodbye " Spring Creek Barbecue is mentioned a number of times.... IE: "There is no Spring Creek Barbecue in Afghanistan." The main characters of the novel a sodier and his Girl ( Children Care giver) vist this Barbecue a number of times as did the Kindle Author Bill (Doc) Roberts.... There is no better place for Barbecue!

Without a doubt the best BBQ in the world. Period. One of the best things about Spring Creek BBQ is that they bring around hot fresh rolls several times during the meal. Also, best sauce ever, but you need to ask for the stuff behind the counter (it’s the sweet one) instead of the sauce you put on yourself down the line a little.

We have enjoyed Spring Creek BBQ for several years. It started because they do fundraiser nights for the local schools! That made them wonderful in my book, then I tasted their food. They became AWESOME! Great food, Great Customer service, Clean environment & reasonably priced. We go at least once or twice a month.

We live in Tulsa ok and last weekend we came for Easter and we had BBQ to go and the food wasnt good at all, the brisket seemed to be very peppery and was cold. Then we had peach cobbler and it wasnt very good and the rolls were almost burnt. We love BBQ and we try to eat every time we come but I was very unhappy.

Buen sitio para comer Sandwiches, Hamburguesas, Carnes... El mejor que he probado para degustar carnes (pavo, pollo, chorizo, Costillitas, entre otras)...

Went their for mothers day 2011 for take out. Was treated like a trespasser by one of the managers. He was abrupt, rude, and just down right unfriendly. The food was pretty good. How is it you spend 130.00 on take out and have to pay for bread? This fat, bald manager will not see us again. What a JERK!!!!!!!

Some have complained about service. I am not sure what service they are talking about because this is the type of restaurant that you grab a tray when you walk in, they dish up the entree and you scoop up your own sides. They grab a table and eat some great meaty smoked ribs. Will definitely be back.

The one and original spring Creek BBQ. We bring our of town guests here and it never fails to amaze then how delicious and reasonably priced the ribs are. I dont have enough superlatives to describe this place. The workers all seem truly happy to help me out too as I now come with little children too.

Guy runnning the smoker behind the near cutting area proceeded to grab and move the trash can and then use the same gloves to put meat on the counter. I then had a hair on my plate before realizing my utensils were still dirty. Seems this place needs some education in cleanliness.

I have been to this location many times with my dad and loved it. Since then I have went to other locations in the have not been up to par this location by far is the best in the North Dallas. Moist juicy meat just like you like it. In my sides and delicious fresh baked rolls.
