Back Home is satisfying. Its so much so that it almost lost a star on this review because when I came here, I was working and then after my incredibly awesome loaded baked potato filled with pulled pork and a side of baked beans that... I found myself no longer able to work. But this is not their fault, its mine.. I normally can handle the basic BBQ you find everywhere else as chain food joints but here? No Sir. Do not come here if you have aspirations for the remainder of your day, because Back Home BBQ, like the Sirens of Mythology, will, with their tempting aroma and promises of genuine meatcraft goodness, lure your goal filled ship unto the jagged stones of lethargy and such complete satisfaction that you will then find yourself devoid of the desire to maneuver your now BBQ sauce covered sails into any direction resembling productivity as the weight of said satisfaction forces your eyelids to betray you and all your hopes and dreams!! Yeah then ya just gotta say screw it and have a nap eh? EAT AT THE PERIL OF YOUR PRODUCTIVITY! ...But for real, eat here. Theyre real gud. Go git gud...fud.

UNBELIEVABLE!! My department at work ordered from this restaurant through Grub Hub based off of the reviews it had received. While our food was delivered in a timely manner, one of my co workers did not receive their entree. In an attempt to contact the restaurant to rectify the matter we discovered that the business number listed is a cell phone..that they never answer!! Is this REAL!! So i contacted Grub Hub who then tried to reach Back Home BBQ and they were unable to reach them as well. As a result they are NO LONGER AVAILABLE via Grub Hub until they provide a VALID business phone number. Not cool Back Home BBQ! Thank You Grub Hub for providing EXCELLENT customer service and providing the refund.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I should have listened to the bad reviews. I just got back and Im super freaking disappointed we got HALF a pound of brisket I kid you not it was the size of my hand and Im a small person and their fries were super duper greasy and burnt! And oh god the banana pudding was basically whipped cream with crumbled up vanilla wafers. And the prices are ridiculous I would much rather drive to coppell and go to hard 8 BBQ. &I if Im too lazy Ill just go to dickies its way better than this place damn it I want my money back lol

The people were friendly, the food was amazing! I love BBQ but there are few places in Dallas proper to get it good. This place is very well located. They have a drive through and good parking. Their prices are great I dont feel like there is any up charge over what you would expect to pay at your favorit hole in the wall joint in east Texas. They were out of ribs but I was happy enough with their chicken and sausage. The baked potato was exelent as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Great decor and they have plenty of Tvs if you want to hang out and eat. Wife had pulled pork sandwich with mac n cheese and I had 2 meat brisket and pulled pork, with baked beans and mac n cheese. Wife loved her food, only reason I am not giving five stars is for the pulled pork. Pulled pork was so smoked it overwheled the meat. BBQ sauce good but there was no variety. I will def come back again and reccomend any one who wants good BBQ for a good price.

My husband and I wanted to see if the business that replaced Yins Wok in front of our apartment was any good. We order, and our Mac and Cheese was not fully cooked and it looked like they just put two slices of cheese on it and microwaved it. Wasnt mixed together or anything. The portions were super small. We couldnt even finish our food because it wasnt fully cooked. We paid $12 for something that didnt measure up to the price. Never going back there.

We just moved to this side of town, since moving here from KC,Mo,Ive been extremely disappointed in the BBQ places Ive visited. So today the hubby and I stopped in to give it a try....well DAMN!!!! It was OUTSTANDING, the ribs,links,ribs were off da chain, that mac and cheese makes you wanna slap yo mama! The young lady Mindell R was very friendly, as god as my witness back home BBQ will get all my coins!!!!!

Ive only ever been through the drive thru here, but their sandwiches are really good. Sides are also solid, though the Mac and cheese is essentially just Velveeta shells n cheese. The only thing I was disappointed with was the pulled pork. Its kind of dry and needs a sauce. However, the brisket is solid and the sausage is very good as well. Its a good quick stop to scratch the barbecue itch.

The quantity that we got in out 3 meat plate was laughable. For $38 I was disappointed. Nice advertisement and atmosphere. They would have done better spending more on a real bbq grill and bigger portions. I must say that the potato salad and cucumber salad was very good. I just wish I had more then 2 pieces of brisket on a 3 meat plate.

Great people, great service, sub-par BBQ. Fried Okra has no salt/seasoning, meat was dry/little to no smoke flavor and had no smoke ring to the meat. It was good qaulity food, but not anywhere close to real Texas BBQ. Anyone from outside of Texas may consider this awesome Barbeque though, but when Im in Texas I want Texas BBQ.

Ordered catering from them twice for separate office events. Always had happy full co workers, who compliment the food enormously. Its always on time, and their big box catering service is so easy to use. It saves time in a big way. And you can order same day? Even better. Thanks for being our go-to BBQ spot for our office!

Make sure you check your order before leaving. Ive been to this place twice now and both times I arrived home to find that either 1 or 2 sides were missing. Itd be one thing if I hadnt paid $5/$6 for the family size. Fool me once, fool me twice....there wont be a third time, too many other BBQ places in dallas.

I was picking up a meal for uber eats and the orders are usually ready by the time I get there. Well let me tell you they put a new meaning on the phrase slow cook. I hate to cancel a request because of the extreme wait time but I had to do it. Next time if I have a couple of hours, I might just stop by.

Went on Saturday at 6:15 and they were out of ribs bc they had sold out. After I called to complain, the manager on duty said he would have some for me in an hour. They did have them in an hour but were sold out of brisket and chopped beef. ribs and sausage were good. Chicken was a little dry.

Better than most Dallas BBQ. It would have been much better if it was hot and if they had more sauce choices. The collard greens were my favorite! My chopped beef sandwich was a little dry, but that happens everywhere. My boyfriend said the ribs were good. I liked the decor, very cute!
