Get the queso. Cancun isnt much to look at, and it offers fairly standard Tex-Mex, though perhaps a bit more Mexican than standard in North Texas. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was great. We showed up almost at closing time, and they never once rushed us. (I felt guilty about keeping them, but had to feed TheKiddo™ after a long day in the car.) This was the only place recommended to us, and the staff said to "get the queso" when they suggested it. They were right. This melted blend of white cheese and spice (think it was jalapeño peppers run through a blender) was wonderful. Thats why Im suggesting the same to you. Get the queso.

The food here is very consistent., which makes it one of my favorites because I know what I am getting. The service is spotty, its either really good or not so much. The place is very clean, we have a condo just behind the restaurant and I can attest that they clean that kitchen down every night from top to bottom. The prices are good, the wait times depend on when you got, but usually it isnt bad at all. The have good beer and drink specials, too. The service could use a little pep in their step and maybe a smile or two, but overall it is a great local place to go.

A very authentic Mexican restaurant experience, right down to the street peddlers walking up to your table every 5 minutes to try to sell you something. I did enjoy the Cancun plate, the food was good. Reasonable drink prices. Overall I would have rated the place higher if they did something to discourage people from walking in off the street and up to every table to sell goods. I literally had 3 separate people disturb my meal in a 30 minute span.

Really horrible experience! Salsa was super vinegary, the chicken flautas were inedible. We left with almost all the food left on the plates. My sons dino and fries were the only thing we could handle eating. If you love true Mexican food and/or Tex Mex DO NOT EAT HERE. it was the only place open past 9 only reason we tried it and wasted our money on uneaten food and sour stomach

My family and I were there for breakfast on Easter weekend and the service was horrible. We had to walk around the restaurant to find a clean decent table. We walked in about 9:30 am. It took 20 min to get our drinks and 1hr and min to get our food. Worst part.... Food wasnt that great!! There were many families walking out. Thats how bad it was. Horrible place.

Large menu, many choices. The flavor is a lot more evocative of Mexico than Texas. I didnt see fish tacos on the menu, but they made them for me anyway, with tasty grilled fish. The salsa was medium spicy, with a very nice flavor of cilantro. Service was very friendly and prompt. The price was right.

OMG...the beef was tough and when I expressed it all that was said was, "oh". No effort to correct the problem, only offered a new plate of chicken at an additional cost. Really??? Not a client friendly service goal here. More to gripe about but will leave it at that. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Food was served quick and wait staff was friendly for the most part, but the food was..... I guess edible is the best way to describe the food me and wife had. Honestly Ive had better food from microwave dinners. The food was super bland and I dont ever plan on eating here again.

Horrible experience. We entered to enjoy breakfast only to find out they serve all the drive thru patrons first. Do not open a restaurant if your only priority is the drive thru. Waited an hour for a taco and a breakfast plate. Bad choice !!

Very popular with the breakfast crowd and for good reason as its one of only a few places serving a full breakfast menu plus it opens early, even on a Sunday. Fresh, hot food with service just a tad slow. Well worth it and its cheap.

None of our food tasted freshly made. Seemed like cafeteria food. Tasted like commercial tortilla chips and salsa. Beef taco with no seasoning. Fairly inexpensive but still overpriced for the quality. Waitstaff was attentive.

Decent Mexican food. Nice change from all the seafood. Close to town. Cheap. Slow-ish service but good when it gets there. Rice and refried beans are standard but tasty. As were the corn tortillas. Carne guisada was good.
