We were looking for a venue in the Plano/Frisco area for a wedding rehearsal dinner for about 70 guests. We selected the Silver Fox Steakhouse in Frisco after one meeting with Melissa, the Event Coordinator. Melissa was excellent to work with, and she showed us how the room would be set up for the dinner, depending on our final guest count. She was very professional, flexible, and helpful throughout the planning process, and very responsive to phone calls, emails, and text messages. She listened to what we wanted, showed us some menu suggestions, and even printed the menu to coordinate with the invitation we showed her. She offered for us to come see the room setup several times, and allowed us to come in and test our photo slideshow on their A/V equipment prior to our event. Her attention to detail was outstanding. Melissa seemed genuinely excited about our rehearsal dinner event, and her enthusiasm showed during the planning, at the event, and even as she helped us load our car after the event. The entire staff, led by Melissa and our captain Shane, was great! They were well prepared and made our guests feel very welcome and comfortable. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening, and we received many compliments about the food and service from our guests. We give the food and service 5 STARS, and highly recommend the Silver Fox Steakhouse in Frisco!! Chris & Beverly - Plano, TX

Overall, we rated our experience a solid okay. We were expecting a lot more from a premium steakhouse. For the quality of the food and cocktails, prices seemed excessive as well. Appetizers were presented nicely. Flavor of the Crabcake and the French Onion Soup were acceptable. There was no stand out flavor experience. The soup did not appear to have been thickened or reduced at all so, it was a bit on the watery side and the temperature was tepid. The main courses, both steak, were cooked to perfection. The signature bone-in ribeye seemed a bit on the small side. It was definitely thinner than expected. While there was no observed cause for concern, the serving of meat on a wooden platter concerns me from a sanitary standpoint. The side dish, macaroni and cheese, while tasty, was unremarkable. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed with the experience. We thought the pricing was 15-25% too high for the quality of the food. On the plus side, our wait staff was exceptional. The facility itself was very nicely appointed. The environment is very pleasant.

I was planning a small intimate wedding for 15. I contacted Melissa and she was excellent to work with. She personalized our menu and the booking process was very easy. We were given the room for the evening so we were allowed in early to decorate and we didnt feel rushed to leave. Our servers, Brian and Shane were awesome. They were extremely attentive but never felt imposing. The food was also excellent, our filet was cooked perfectly and the cream corn was amazing. I have to also mention the desserts - all three dessert choices were delicious. I was so impressed with their dessert choices that I skipped ordering a wedding cake and just used the desserts offered. The room was set up perfectly for the ceremony and the wait staff was very aware of the schedule for the evening. If you are looking for a venue that is classy, easy, and different from a regular wedding venue, I highly recommend the Silver Fox. I promise your evening will be as special as ours was. Thank You Silver Fox!!!

We called ahead my wife asked if very casual attire would be ok (since we were evacuated for hurricane Harvey). As soon as we enterered the bar I asked for a Budweiser beer and was met with disgust by the bartender that said "we only have bud light" (as if bud light of Budweiser is a proclamation from God as a yuppie beer!). Afterwards my wife ordered a vodka tonic which she immediately had to correct the bartender that emotionally and immediately poured a well vodka without asking for drink clarification( the bartender literally threw the ice and vodka out of the glass and huffed as my wife asked for shelf vodka). At which point we moved to the back of the bar and discussed whether we wanted to continue here... without question we decided to close tab and leave NEVER have I had a worse experience in a PRIME steak house... shame on the owners and staff... I guess books are really judged on their cover even when you call ahead to apologize for attire AWFUL EXPERIENCE!

Valentines Day was a bust at Silver Fox. Not only was the service abysmal but the food was mediocre. This place used to be our favorite date night restaurant but it continues to go downhill. The tables were uncomfortably close together - expecting a crowd that never came? Our waiter did not know the menu or the wine list. He never once asked us if we needed anything? We had to ask for bread, butter, water, plates for appetizer, tomato/onion tray... The lobster bisque was runny, the salad consisted of limp greens with raw pecans thrown on top, the potatoes were cold, and the lobster was rubbery and stringy. We.tried to tell the manager but all he did was take the bisque off our very large tab. We will never go there again. I suggest you save your money and your expectations for another steakhouse .

This is one of our favorite prime steak restaurants. The atmosphere is swank. Its dark and nicely decorated. It makes be think of a place that Sinatra might frequent. The Frisco location is the one we go to. The manager Jeff Osborn is a nice man that usually makes a point of coming to ask how your dinner is. The steak is usually perfect, once or twice its been slightly over cooked, but still delicious. Medium rare is my choice. The mac and cheese is a decadent treat. Have it! We like to order the couples dinner, which is a good price and more than enough food. We also get the III Forks Salad here. Yes, this is some how linked to III Forks. (I prefer Del Friscos to III Forks, but Silver Fox is GOOD!) You should eat here. We do, probably more often than we should!

What a horribly run restaurant! I went for my birthday, I had made a reservation for 5pm. When we walked in not only were we totally ignored but the couple that came in after was were greeted immediately and served. I stood at the host table waiting for someone to help me but no one ever did. It was a complete slap in the face. I called later to complain and I believe I spoke to the same fat jerk that ingored my family and I, he did not offer an apology, instead he hung up on me. I did not deserve this treatment and I will never go back.

From the minute I walked in, I felt like they were trying to impress. Its been awhile since Ive been to a restaurant this nice and paid attention to the service. We went for restaurant week and were treated the same way I would expect any other customer to be treated. The hostess was very nice and accommodating, our waiter new the details of every dish we ordered , and since we were celebrating a special night and we were on the restaurant week menu, he brought us a special drink. We will definitely be going back for the normal menu.
