My twin sister and I recently had our 30th Birthday party here at the restaurant banquet area. I ate here once prior to reserving my party day. The first time I ate here I fell in love with the food and how authentic it tasted, and that wasnt the best part. The best part were the MAGARITAS!!!! On the day of the birthday party we arrived at 8:05PM, five minutes after the reservation start time. Prior to us getting to the restaurant a friend, who was there already, had informed me that the banquet room was occupied with another party. I wasnt too thrilled about this news. Once we got in the restaurant my significant other went to talk to management since I didnt want to deal with the headache on my birthday. Probably 10 minutes later they were seating us down in the room. Im not sure what she said but I was really pleased with how fast they were able to rectify the problem. Not only did they seat us quickly but the food arrived very quickly for a party of 30. To TOP it all off was when Crystal the manager had suggested to give our whole dinner party FREE SHOTS ! I was like yes that would be awesome but was not expecting it to happen. Towards the end of dinner she and Sergio both returned with a server with trays of a shots! THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! To sum it all up the FOOD is great, the SERVICE is awesome, and the AMBIANCE is just amazing!!!!!! Thank you Tequila Azul for making our night special and memorable!!!!

Terrible - Beware - First my wife and I dine out 2 or 3 times a week. We have lived in Viera many years. Tonight we had our worst dining experience EVER. First the young man who prepared our guacamole was very personable & we had an enjoyable conversation. Crystal was our server, she took our drink order of a marguerite & a Corona Light plus two glasses of water and then disappeared for +30 minutes. Finally a bar tender noticed wed been ignored/abandoned and asked us if wed ordered. She went to the bar and found our drinks had been sitting there, totally ignored as were we. Crystal re-appeared to take our food order and disappeared again for about 30 minutes. Finally a lovely young server named Connie came to our rescue and brought us our food order. Then Crystal re-appeared acting as if she was our server. My wifes food order was wrong. Connie tried her best to make amends but by now wed lost our appetite and all we wanted was out of this restaurant. Crystal showed up with our bill. I tipped Connie cash and left Crystal one penny for her abysmal service. After leaving Crystal followed my wife out to the parking lot, they had words and she very snottily returned the penny. In summary Tequila Azul has the honor of giving us our WORST dining experience in the last 10 years. ps I have subsequently learned that Crystal is a manager. With managers like this I do not forecast a long life for this restaurant.

Had dinner last Saturday night with two of my friends. We eat out together once a week and we were looking forward to a Mexican Restaurant without a sports bar theme. This place, however, has no Mexican ambiance. The blue water lights were kept from the previous restaurant. Just changing the color of the lights to more Mexican colors would help. We had the chips that were with three dipping sauces. Two of the sauces were okay but nothing special. One of the dips was a guacamole dip; it was horrible. Just sour cream with chunks of avocado. The stuffed pepper was very good. The fajitas were good. The burrito was stuffed with tasteless beef. When we asked for one check but would pay with three different credit cards we were told they dont do that. We were shocked as we pay that way every single week at every other restaurant. We will go back in about three months to see if they have improved. Everyone deserves a second change.

Over an hour wait for a table when there were several tables open. They just had to clean them. After finally being seated, our table of 2 ordered just a plain bean burrito and the "all you can eat" tacos. We waited and waited... After a while we noticed that there were no chips and salsa being served. The waiter never told us there was a backlog or what was the deal with them. As a matter of fact, he never checked on us. The table of 8 seated next to us was getting all the information from him as to the status of the kitchen. After waiting almost another hour for our food, we saw that table of 8 was getting their food before us.. even though we were there BEFORE them. We just left. We are never going to this place again. Customer service = customer disservice. Ill make sure I will tell EVERYONE I run into not to go here. This place is a sorry excuse for a restaurant. And it is way over priced for what you get. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

The place was clean. The server seemed intimidated by questions about the menu. Now I understand why. It was the worst all around food I have ever had brought to my table. I had a stuffed pablano pepper that looked like a bloated, swollen dead rat. It tasted even worse. My wife had a small piece of "grouper" (@ a price approaching $20) that was described as cooked in banana leaves........a better discription would be....cooked and then put in a banana leaf type of boat. The refried beans were scorched and burned. The rice was like instant rice. $45.00 w/ tip. Yes, I tipped the girl as none of this was her fault. I then immediately drove a couple of blocks away and ate at Burger 21 (@ an additional cost of 14.00) just to get the horrible flavor of Tequila Azul out of my mouth. The burger, bun and thin sweet potato fries were all perfectly cooked and delicious!!

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about the quality of the food, but decided to go anyway and check it out since I love Mexican food and it is fairly close to our home. My husband and I were blown away by how GREAT the food tasted (especially because of some of the reviews)! We have been there 3 times now and the quality has been consistently EXCELLENT! Love the Carne Asada, Mexican Tacos (sirloin), Top Shelf Guacamole and the Nachos! So GOOD!!! Waitstaff wonderful...no problems whatsoever!! GREAT SERVICE! So you dont get chips and salsa when you sit down...who needs it?? Im so stuffed by the end with leftovers to take home! I will definitely be back and bringing my FRIENDS!! Loving this new eatery in Viera!

I read a lot on here and heard that its not authentic Mexican food. No its not but it is a far cry better than other mexican restaurants on the Space Coast. I used to fly into this place in El Paso and have been searching for that authenticity and this was very close. Crystal was our server. Awesome service. We had the guacamole table side. It was phenomenal. I had the signature carnitas, I loved the tenderness of the meat and the corn tostadas were on par. The beans were fantastic, the rice could have used more seasoning. The margaritas were very good and my family enjoyed their meals as well. Price was moderate and I felt it was fair for the ambience and the food and drinks. I met Ash, the owner, and he really cares. We will return.
