I have been meaning to write this review for about a week but I just have not had the opportunity to do so! A little over a week ago, my family and I went to the new Jakes in Frisco and I was truly pleased with practically the entire establishment. The hostesses were sweet girls that seemed to be enjoying their job and the food was what I had expected (although the fries were a bit soggy). All of the girls walking around were cute and had a certain class to them, unlike most sports bars I have been to. I could suggest having their hair pulled back or at least out of their faces, but not a huge deal. The only real complaint I had was that everyone seemed fairly rushed, and of course I realize that comes with having a busy establishment but if the staff seems rushed, it makes the guests feel a bit antsy and uncomfortable. What I was truly pleased with was our server, a young lady with blonde hair wearing the cutest little cowgirl boots! I want to say her name was Kourtney but I am not quite sure. Anyhow, the young lady was extremely polite and always came to the table with a very warm smile and her timing was good with drink refills and cleaning off the table, etc. She joked with and entertained my 8 year old twin boys and kept a smile on their faces the entire dinner (to all you moms, this is a quality you can appreciate from a complete stranger). Also, she knew the menu and answered all of our questions; clearly the staff goes through a great deal of training considering this place is new and that she was well versed on the menu and details of the restaurant in general. I was a server for several years back in my day and so when I go out to restaurants and bars, I am more aware of the small details which makes it somewhat harder to enjoy but I really do not have a whole lot of complaints. I think using baskets for the burgers is a bit outdated and the silverware probably could be cleaned better, but the actual service part of the place was great. I will certainly be coming back. Thank you Jakes!

The food here is amazing. Highly suggest splurging on the Jalapeño Bottle caps (fried jalapeños) for an appetizer. Weve tried several of the burgers and none have been too terribly greasy. Read the details carefully - I always forget about the double patty on some and they will substitute the poppy seed bun. Additionally, the BLT, grilled cheese, hot dog, and chicken sandwiches are great. Never been disappointed. The sweet potato fries are out of this world sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served with marshmallow sauce (I prefer ranch which they will give you plenty of at no additional cost). Jakes fries, regular fries, onion rings, and tater tots are good as well. However, I will say that the overall service is inconsistent. There are a few choice waitresses we see time and time again amongst the newer faces and cross our fingers for when we come in. Kayla H. specifically is amazing! Many though have room for improvement (attention to detail, timeliness, and attitude). Im not saying they dont have their work cut out for them between FC Dallas crowds, parties, and youth leagues in the area but more consistency would be nice. Definitely worth a visit...oh and they have a full bar!

The worst dining experience in years! I had lunch here last year and it was ok. We stopped to have a burger tonight and the food was less than ok. My wife had to send hers back and it still wasnt correct. The service was sad. We stood in the doorway for a few minutes and no one spoke to us. A young female was sitting near by rolling silverware and got up and found us a table only after we asked her if we must seat ourselves. It was 10 minutes before anyone asked for our order. There were fewer than 15 people in the place and 5-6 girls working - mostly standing around talking. 1 was sweeping the entire time (the only one working). I had to ask the sweeping girl to take my payment because our waitress was standing up front talking and laughing with the other 4 non-workers. Then, as we were leaving, we had to weave our way through the gaggle of girls standing by the door using some unprofessional, and not so lady-like, language. I fully expect this place to be hosting comedy-drivers-ed soon - a common move for restaurants just prior to closing for good.

Pitiful. Came for brunch and ordered migas with corn tortillas and hash browns well done. My husband ordered a BLT with fries and extra mayo. The server returned to say she asked the manager and was told they could not do a BLT as it is breakfast only. Seems like it could be a breakfast item to me. When the food came, I had to order my tortillas again (which arrived after the rest was cold), my husband DID get a BLT but no fries and no mayo (both of which he received after he finished his sandwich), there were mass amounts of grains in his coffee, and no one brought creamer when they refilled it. We also watched another custimer spend about 5 minutes fishing grains out of his coffee cup, then go get his own silverware from the hostess after receiving his food. One manager watched this happen and never even approached the man to apologize! I did, however, see him speaking to a server about it. What a shame this location has gone so downhill in service and customer care.

Went to Jakes in Flower Mound. The Service was fairly good, but they brought me a burger with a burnt toasted bun! Its an awfully expensive establishment to be serving burnt offerings! It really made me wonder what was going through the mind of the cook who obviously made the decision that he/she should serve this up??? (You could tell that an attempt had been made to scrape away some of the burnt bread). It then took me awhile to get the servers and managers attention about the matter, and a bit of bumbling on their part n how they were going to rectify the situation. By the time it was remade for me, the rest of my family had finished eating, and I had mostly lost my appetite. To top it off, they left it on the bill! There are several burger places in the area , that are just as good or better, and cost significantly less. I would really need to be persuaded to try this one again.

On my last visit to Jakes Uptown, I was less than enthused with the service that I received. It was not a busy afternoon (around 4 PM), so I was surprised that the server was as inattentive as she was. She came by to take the order, then to bring the check. Our food was brought by a different employee altogether, and I had to summon a different server for drink refills. Instead of a burger this time, I ordered the grilled ham and cheese sandwich which was delicious! The loaded cheese fries was huge for a "small" order, and was covered with bacon bits, cheese, and chives. Definitely delicious! The restaurant was clean and inviting, with nice, ambient music playing in the background. I will visit again soon, and will hope for a better experience with a different server, because the food is wonderful. I still love the original Jakes in Dallas, better, though!
