We were down the street at a sporting event and googled restaurants in our area. The Rusty Taco is the only place that came up, so we decided to give it a try. Only go here if you want to be totally disrespected by an older guy wearing a superman shirt who could care less about your repeat business. I lived in the DFW area for over 40 years and I must admit, The Rusty Taco in Plano provided one of the flat out worst experiences Ive ever had in the metroplex to date eating out. I dont say this lightly. I have never seen such utter disrespect to a paying customer and the customers entire party in which kids were involved with by an elder staff member who definitely knew better, but didnt care. It was deplorable. I have never taken the time to post something about a restaurant or anything for that matter online. However, this was such a horrendous experience I wanted to make sure nobody else gets treated as poorly as we did. I was in the service industry for over 10 years and have a lot of respect for the hard working people in the industry. There is no place for flat out disrespect toward the customer or his party by any staff member, much less the MOD or owner. This guy obviously doesnt realize we live in Texas and there are 100s of places where hungry people can buy Tacos to eat. Its not rocket science! If you treat your customers like crap they are not going to come back and spend their hard earned money with you. On a scale from 1 - 10 scale regarding customer service and a friendly family atmosphere wed like to visit again, The Rusty Taco in Plano gets a negative 1 in my book. The older guy in the superman shirt should be ashamed of the way he acted, but hes probably too proud. I can all but guarantee he has done the same thing to other people, so I encourage anyone else who has had a similar experience with this guy to post it. What a joke.

This is my sons favorite taco place. They beg me to come here. It is close to one of my sons doctor, so we can make it over a couple times a year. Its your run of the mill taco dive place. They sell one thing and they make it well so its always packed. We always start with the queso. It is creamy and thick. It has a decent amount of heat. I think next time Im going to try to get taco meat or brisket added to it. My sons favorite taco is the Texican. Its your standard ground beef taco with lettuce, tomato, and cheese on a corn or flour tortilla. I had the shrimp taco. It is a lightly battered and fried shrimp with a yummy Baja sauce, cabbage, and cilantro. Next time I will add avocado with it. I think the avocado texture could add to the complexity of taco. I also enjoyed the grilled fish taco. It also has a yummy chipotle sauce with cabbage and cilantro. Great meal with my boys!

They serve a good variety of street type tacos including breakfast tacos. Brisket tacos are good but not the best I have had in DFW. Very friendly and helpful staff. They werent even mad when we showed up 15 mins before closing (something I detest doing but they were still so busy I didnt think to check the time) then I didnt feel too bad when 3 other groups of people walked in long after we had our tacos I hand. They were super fast with our food! Our chips and queso were out before we started filling up our cups at the soda fountain. I really enjoyed their chips, they were warmed and a good consistency for the queso which was yummy as well. This place is definitely worth a try!

The best run Rusty Taco in the metroplex, I prefer this one over the one by my house. Love the shrimp tacos with extra sauce, brisket tacos are outstanding, love the Texican also. Ive tried every taco on the menu and love the fact they have breakfast tacos all day. Brisket with egg and cheese, wow. Service is outstanding and the owner always makes it so. Two tacos had sat on the counter waiting for my friend to pick them up, when my friend arrived, the workers behind the counter said, "this has been sitting out too long" so he made another two. Dumped the cold ones in the trash and they didnt give my friend any grief for it. Few places would do that. Ill be back over and over.

Good food, generally friendly staff, but quite annoying that they close before their sign says they are closed. I got off work late last night. Got to RT at 8:45 (sign says they close at 9), and the chairs were already up, doors locked, and they were cleaning, ignoring me when I got to the door. In the past, I remember one employee whining about people coming in near closing, but if youre going to post that youre open to a certain time, then you should be open until that time, and no whining. I was getting something to go at that earlier time as I was again last night and which I almost always do. It shouldnt be any skin off their back.

Dunno who the hell the owner of the Coit Rd Rusty Taco thinks he is (Im talking about you Joe) , but he was disrespectful in speaking to my wife. He felt the need to tell her how to sit on the stools in the restaurant (she had her legs on the stool that I was standing in front of) , and was lucky that the incident didnt escalate. Just obnoxious. It is a fast food taco place, not a 4 star dining experience. if you have a directive request to make of a customer you really should consider introducing yourself and not speaking to adults like they are high school students.

If you live in Plano---this is where you get your Tacos. If you live in Dallas--Go to Lunas or Fuel Town. If you work close to Parkland--There is a Rusty there. Dont waste your time with hipster tacos from Torchs or the crap from Chitos scraped off the floor and saved from last week. Go to Rusty Taco on Coit and get FRESH---Tasty----Moderately priced tacos from good people who work hard and value your business. The beer is priced right and the best thing on the menu is the brisket egg and cheese taco. You wont go wrong at Rusty

I honestly have yet to have a bad experience here. Ive been here 10+ times and each time its been awesome! My top four favorite tacos would be the Picadillo, Beef Fajita, Texican, and the Rusty, but youve gotta try them all! The orange habanero sauce is seriously the best! If theres any downside to this place its that there isnt enough seating sometimes cause its so busy. Regardless of how busy it is, your tacos will come out in no time. Dont forget they serve breakfast tacos 24/7!!! Does it get much better? I think not at $2 a taco.

Best tacos I have had!! I cant say enough..and their service is super speedy. Great place to run in if youre in a hurry. Very friendly staff and the owner is always about taking care of his store somewhere. If you dont see him, hes probably at another location taking care of business. Ive talked to this guy and he cares about his business and every customer that comes through his door. I cant say enough, because this place is so top notch! Addictive and delicious!
