Excellent restaurant!!!I went there last week with my family and my sons friends to celebrate my sons graduation. The inside of Anaya is elegant very beautiful and relaxing vibe.We were waited on as soon as we sat down and the hostess followed up making sure our every need was met(refills, extra sauce, fork instead of chopsticks LOL!Etc.)In under 15 minutes of our party sitting&ordering our table became filled with great looking&tasting food.I ordered the KFC chicken katsu ,Agedashi tofu, gyoza,Chicken Teriyaki. My wife had Udon&various sushi. Our table of 8 people got just about everything on the menu. All I can say is excellent service very fast, friendly&helpful. The food is top notch absolutely delicious.I was very impressed with the food, the service and the inside of the restaurant. The whole experience made for a great night.5 stars, thumbs up!

If everyone was as attentive as Carlos is behind the sushi bar, this place would be one of the better and more affordable places to get sushi in New Haven. Unfortunately, Carlos and even the sushi cannot save Anaiya from the poor service on the part of its other staff members. 15 minutes before anyone took an order, and never saw the waitress again after the food came. Had to go find her in the back to get a check. If you cant get a seat at the bar to order directly from Carlos, I suggest you go down the block either direction to either Miyas or Sushi on Chapel.

Nice decor, good food and friendly but slow and confused service. We waited what seemed to be a long time for our menu and drink order. I ordered an ap and an entree, my son ordered an entree. My ap and his entree came out together. We finished and then waited another +/- 20 mins before my entree came out. The sushi was good and not as much rice as Ive had at other ayce places. Ill give it a second try. Update: I thought my review was done but Im still waiting for the check. 10 mins and counting... Aughhh.

Well the restaurant is actually nicer than it seems when you first step in the place, the people sit upstairs and its cool. Firsts were pretty off, but the sushi rolls are very interesting, try rising sun roll its super cool and they put a lot work into it, also try rolls that hace mango and wasaby sauce, very nice. 22.8$ for small dinner, happy about it

When youre taking a break from studio and youre feeling like you need sushi, Anaya is the place for ALL YOU CAN EAT! Me and my friends went here at least every week. Recommend: Calamari, terriyaka snapper, egg custard, phoenix roll, and crunchy eel. I didnt like the kani roll, new england roll, udon, shrimp tempural, or (strangely) their coke.

Great all-you-can-eat sushi at an affordable price that is unfortunately hindered by poor service. The staff is friendly but disorganized. Orders arent always completed and are often delayed. As I write this, were trying to close our check to end this three hour meal. Its a shame because the sushi really is excellent.

The service was a little slow. I was standing at the door waited to be seated with my kid for like 5 minutes more or less. We ordered sushi that night and it wasnt so bad. I ordered the Yale Roll which said it had mango in it but that wasnt mango. The roll I do recommend is Anayas Roll!

While the food is decent for the price, the whole experience is totally canceled out by non-existent service. Prepare to wait for over an hour just to get a menu...I was hoping we would finally have a decent sushi place on Yale campus, alas this was a huge disappointment.

I have never given one star before, but oh my god... The service! We paid the bill for our drinks before our food came because we had waited NINETY MINUTES. Guys. Hire more staff. People *want to eat your sushi*! You just have serve it before hell freezes over!

Mixed feelings about Anaya. While I enjoy Midnight Ramen immensely, I cannot say the same about their sushi. The rice is... wet, which detracts from the experience, but their all-you-can-eat special is fantastic since its basically a full menu.

Sushi is great and atmosphere is nice - its also probably the best place for all-you-can-eat. However, the service and seating are slow (painfully so during peak times) and orders tend to be messed up. Still a solid sushi place all around.

It used to be better. Its no longer all you can so please keep that in mind! Also, the rolls arent anything special in my opinion. Theres better sushi places in the area with more options and better service, which here is quite slow.

Great spot. High quality sushi for a reasonable price. This is the one restaurant in New Haven you could eat at consistently and get food that is delicious, good for your health, and easy on the pocket book.

Food is good but the service is very disorganized. Dont be surprised if you have to go find a waiter to take your order, or to ask for the check. Late night sushi and ramen deals are great

Good little sushi place. I used to go for the $20 all you can eat but they discontinued that for dinner. I believe they might still have that as a lunch special, but Im not sure.

Great food, but the service was the worst Ive ever had. It really put a damper on our experience. The food almost saved it, but I would no longer recommend this place to people.

Much downgraded version of sushi palace. Understaffed. Takes forever to get your sushi. I dont recommend this place unless you dont mind waiting half an hour to get your sushi.

Its a cheap all-you-can-eat sushi with fabulous quality. It is better to come on weekdays as it is only $19 compared to weekends price of $21

The service is hit and cold. They have some good sake. The chicken bao bun sliders are worth the visit alone.
