We came to this restaurant because of the reviews....what a letdown. For starters, they were completely under staffed for a Friday night. It took 10 min for someone to take our drink order. Another 10 after receiving drinks for anyone to ask if we were ready to order. Food came fairly quick and wasnt too bad so the chefs do a decent job. Service was absolutely terrible. I can empathize being as busy as they were but it speaks very negatively on the owners for understaffing their restaurant on a Friday night. 2 waitresses to handle the entire dining room. They seemed very flustered. At one point every table was empty and filthy. They didnt even have people to buss tables. This terrible experience was all the owners fault. We had to ask for refills on drinks and for plates and napkins. Probably wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.

I want to give this place 5 stars so badly. They have excellent service, the white servers dont know sushi but are polite and eager to please. They dont have a wide selection of fish as the menu suggests and that is a sign of lack of money. They didnt have soba noodles, toro (fatty tuna more expensive than ahi) no uni. You must understand its expensive to keep fresh fish on hand all the time so I dont blame them. Once they become more established they will see what their clients eat they will rewrite the menu with available ingredients im sure! Food was great. Fresh and thoughtfully executed. SUPPORT THIS PLACE! We need another non southern cuisine restaurant here!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Phoned in for an order, and was met with a confused employee who kept randomly adding items to my order, as long as confusing me for a customer who already placed an order. Took nearly 10 minutes of being on hold and explaining that I was making a new order and didnt know who they were talking about. Than after finally taking over 15 minutes just to get my order relayed to them, they told me that they couldnt deliver to my residence which was less a mile from than even though they clearly have a 5 mile radius delivery policy. Never eating or delivering from there again.

My daughter and I had the dinner time combination..you get miso soup, a small but tasty salad, and two choices from the combo list..$13.95. I got vegetable tempura and California rolls. My daughter chose chicken teriyaki and California rolls. The sushi rolls were 6 pieces each. The food was quite delicious, and was served hot, and came out quickly. Its got a comfortable cozy feel, and the staff made us feel welcome. We enjoyed our dinner and our visit there very much.

Ive been here a few times. I really enjoyed the grilled saba, which is skin-on mackerel filets pan fried in a light oil with grated daikon. Very tasty, with strong fish flavor. The sushi here was excellent too. The staff is friendly, but each time the interactions with them has been a little odd. I believe that many are recent additions to the US, and there are some language difficulties. It probably explains why the food is so good.

Ambiance was just OK. The place is very, very casual. The service was very good. Hot and sour soup was good. My California roll was good. The chicken curry was OK. I think I paid less than ten dollars for all of that, maybe a little more with the tip. I ate there on a Monday, and they have a special on Mondays and Tuesdays, with all that food for like $8. Next time I will skip the curry and get more sushi.

My kids and my friends kids love the orange chicken. Its a sure thing! We time it just right, so the kids are eating their meal... mmm... peacefully, shall we say, while the adults are enjoying a Sapporo or two with either sashimi - which is actually very good here, for the price, my wife says - or veggie udon noodles. It can get a little hectic sometimes and you have to be "proactive" about getting your food

My husband just went and picked up our food and brought it home... It was terrible! We bring home sushi from different places all the time and this was the worst. The sunset rolls filling tasted like fish that had been sitting out for days. The rainbow roll also had the fish on top tasting like the fish had been sitting out. Very disappointed! We will never order from here again! My cats wont even eat them..

Lived in Japan for over a year, it is great to have some good Japanese food in the area. Also the great food wont break the bank!!! But in saying that, this is the only place where I would not mind if they charged me more. I hope their food costs are not going to hurt them too much. I would gladly pay a few dollars more to keep this place in business.

Our initial experience with Tokyo Sushi was very good. After the second time we ordered, problems started to occur. Food not received as ordered, even after it is repeated/confirmed. We have ordered a few more times and had more errors. Depends on who answers the phone and takes the order. Four errors on 6 or 7 orders is not acceptable.

The California roll is fantastic! We had the sesame chicken a few nights ago with two California rolls and it was only $20. Three adults ate it.. so it was pretty large, pretty fantastic, and incredibly priced. Everyone needs to go here because this place needs to stay. Dont buy that Kroger sushi next door... come here instead!

Even my picky father loves the food and even likes the California roll. 200/10. recommended at my work and even order to the point they have my name on file :) my #1 sushi place.

Really good sushi and Asian food. Some of the menu items are not clearly explained so if you are not familiar Asian food you might need to ask your server for more info. But the food and service is good, comes out quick and the prices are reasonable. Easily the best Asian food in the area.

Great rolls! Great sushi! And unbelievable amount of food for the dollar! So glad they came to town. I drive about 10 miles, right past other places to get the best food here. I love Tokyo Sushi! And I agree, dont buy the stuff at Kroger or you are doing yourself wrong.

This is THE BEST Japanese food I have ever have! The tempura is delicious and the dinner combo is a great deal. If you more than just delicious sushi and more flavors and foods from Japan, this is the place.

probably exactly what you are imagining | fish was fresh; rolls were a little too loosely rolled (the rice then end up in your lap), but the overall experience was very good.
