This is the worst place ever!! Everyday thay say Americans are stupid Americanos, and Americanos need to learn to speak Greek because Americanos are to stupid for their own language, they put their hands on the employees , the owner said he was gonna smash me in my face with a burning hot pan because Im stupid!! They treat women with such disrespect its sad and they do it in front of employees ! The manager Jimmy pushed me into the table pretty much I had dishes in my hand and pushed me and said MOVE, my guests didnt kno what to say they said turn Jimmy and Peter in because the way they treat us is wrong.. They call their guests stupid !! These people neeed to be fought a lesson your in our country if all of us are dumb go back to your poooor country!!! And then over a piece of bread I wrote white bread and it was supposta be rye he threw the plate at me and said Im dumb.. They are not getting away with how they treat everyone there!!!!! Everyone who eats there is American and they call them all stupid and its so sad and wrong I hope people open their eyes next time you go in there watch and listen if a server is at a table and food is ready to be brought out the come to the door and yell at the servers name and when you go to kitchen he freaks out on you and calls you names.. I dont want Americans supporting a Greek business where they dont appreciate us americans

This used to be my wife and my favorite place to get breakfast because it was always fast and great tasting, even on a Sunday. Well, after our last visit, never again. My wife ordered an egg-beater omelet with American and I ordered a three egg omelet with onions and pepper and Swiss. We are used to getting lots of cheese and this time there was hardly any. My wifes omelet was clearly made with eggs instead of egg beaters. Since we were busy we ate our meals, then as we were getting our table clear we mentioned to the waitress that my wifes omelet didnt come with egg beaters so we would like to be charged for just an egg omelet. She said yes they were, to which my wife replied, no, I have had them dozens of times and these were not beaters. The check came and egg beaters for an extra dollar was still on the receipt. When we went to pay our bill, the cashier was extremely rude and didnt even ask if we enjoyed our meal. I said that we didnt get egg beaters on my wifes omelet to which he replied, yes she did! And then (I am not kidding) held up a carton of substitute eggs in front of my wife and asked her if these were egg beaters. We paid (I took the dollar out of the waitresses tip) and left. Never again. Too bad too, we have been there probably 50-90 times over the last 8 years.

Ive patronized the Halfmoon Diner a handful of times, and if I averaged my experiences I would say that I am indifferent about this place. This diner knows how to make a decent sandwich or wrap, but then again those items are difficult to blunder. However, I will say that the Circle Diner in Latham makes a French Dip that is leagues ahead. Im not particularly a fan of their fries as they are blatantly the crinkle-cut ones youd buy from the grocery store. Their taste and texture make it evident that they were frozen before cooked. One time I tried their cornish game hen special, and I was not impressed. When the menu said it was served with a fruit sauce, I thought it might be a plum drizzle that didnt overpower the chicken. Unfortunately, it was literally chopped fruit that both covered and was stuffed inside this hen, and it tasted horrid. Overall, this is a run-of-the-mill establishment, but it cannot call itself a legitimate diner. Id rather drive the extra 20 miles round trip to the Circle Diner in Latham, because there the food would be better and the prices the same.

had the eggplant parm and the portion was at least half the size, perhaps 1/3 the size of other places, same goes for the vegi lasagana had that last night and the serving was around five inches long 3 inches high and sinches wide, easily taking up only 20 percent to 30 percent f the plate. other places fill the plate. it also was not crispy, and it was hard to even see the lasanga noodles... people were friendly and the fish tasted nice and was a nice portion. seems like they need help with at least these two dishes.

Really outdated food and decor. The menu is way, way too big and I had a hard time sorting through it. The food itself is bland as heck and it seems like they try to impress by portion size. I ordered an open face turkey sandwich... It was bland turkey with store bought gravy and smashed on top of plain white bread. Zero effort. The average age of the other customers had to be 65+ which is usually a bad sign for a dinner crowd. First and last visit.

Portion size was enormous but the food was really bland. It looked like there were spices on it but it may as well have just been heated up. My server was nice and very patient, not even flinching when she had to repeat the specials and ask the same questions about soups and salads for what must have been the hundredth time that day. All in all it came down to the food for me, which was okay.

Great American Diner food. You wont be disappointed. And the menu items are diverse and affordable. Ive never seen a place where I can get a Belgian Waffle, Ham Slice, Egg, and Sausage for less than 9 dollars and still have them be full of flavor. The wait staff is wonderful ranging from the energetic zing of young waitresses to the convalescent care of the older ladies.

My husband and I have been going here for years to eat breakfast. We found Dinners r terrible. I had meatloaf which tasted like all breadcrumbs or over seasoned , we had Brussels spurts that were totally mush. Tried different dinners at different times and found they just cant cook! Cant ruin a sandwich so stick to that. We should have followed our own advise lol!

I have had a horrible experience here and will never go again. We set a reservation a week in advance for our grandfathers memorial. We get there after church and another family is sitting at our table. The manager said there was nothing he could do as we waited for over an hour. Needless to say we found another place and left and I will never go back.

Just left Halfmoon Diner - order steak and eggs - could not cook steak to medium - first time well and second time it was purple - also brought back same eggs - waitress was awesome - they took off of course, I was nice about it but did not eat anything. I told the manager so the cook knows - manager said sometimes these things happen - dumb answer.

We had breakfast for dinner last night and Irina was our server - she was so sweet and kind to me and my 12-year old nephew, that honestly, she could have served me just napkins and I would still come back solely based on her service! Best bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll around and absolutely looooooved their home fries.
