So I guess they thought I wouldnt say anything after the event that happened.. not only have I had repeatable horrible service, the last one that I had about four months ago was the worst I have ever had in any restaurant that I have ever been to. I was even promised in the parking lot that the manager would be in contact with me after the incident and I heard nothing. Ive given it this long for them to reach out to me and since nothing has happened I am definitely going to the district manager and everyone else up higher. Being a business owner myself I dont usually give out bad reviews but this one needs to be heard. The manager on duty not only flagrantly flirts with the bartenders in front of customers but the rest of the staff seemed like a bunch of immature, childish, children who dont care about customer service. This doesnt reflect upon them only but more so reflects upon the manager on duty. I have had my stints of bad service from this place in the past with horrible food wait times when the store was empty without saying a word. But being a business owner in the Keller / Southlake area, I will never step foot in this restaurant again. Not only that but I will also make sure every one of my customers knows about the situation that happened and also about how their customer service values are viewed. They could care less what kind of attitude their employees give you and also could not even be concerned one bit about how you were treated by any of their staff at all. They act like a bunch of employees who have no regard for their customers in a customer service sense. Ill definitely be going to the BBB about their actions and how they also eat and drink in front of customers behind the bar. Its disgusting as well to see a manager act less mature than my own year old daughter. Ill spread the horrible news beyond just customers and be sure to tell everyone I meet about this worthless restaurant. I love On the Border, but this one will never get my business again. FYI....I have a lot of customers being a general contractor in the area. One last thing, the young female bartender that works evening shifts is HORRIBLE at making drinks. She will even give you a millennial attitude. Go figure.

Danger!!!! Turn away now! Consider this your warning that this is the worst restaurant in Roanoke. I have no idea how they are still open. I was server all through college and have helped open a restaurant before, so I promise I know what Im talking about. We sat on the patio and waited 10 minutes before having to ask a hostess if we even had a server. Multiple servers walked past our table but none greeted us. We finally were greeted, but with no apology for the wait. We immediately ordered appetizers which came out 10 minutes later. They seemed to have been thrown together because they didnt look "appetizing". My husband needed a refill of his Arnold Palmer and the server didnt even bring him a fresh glass. Instead she brought a cup without ice and poured it into his drink. Once the server decided to come check on our meal we had already almost finished it. We also watched the hostess push together tables for a party of 9 by removing the dirty dishes to another table, wiping off the food crumbs with a dry paper towel, and then setting the table. NO SANITIZER! We asked to speak to the manager and were told that they were "busy". The bad management speaks for the terrible service. I will never understand when a server makes $3. an hour how they dont treat their costumers like gold...we are your paycheck. Anyway enough said. Dont eat here. Go to Cristinas or Los Mocalates.

We usually only grab to-go from here, but the food and service is always great. However, for some reason OTB corporate treats to-go customers differently than dine-in customers. Im not seeing a price different between the menus so why are extra chips and salsa charged for? If I was given more than a mere shot glass of salsa and a paltry amount of chips, there would be no reason to ask for extra. Fortunately, the staff at this location is more than willing to grab me extras free of charge (and I always throw extra towards tip for this convenience), but its a shame I even have to ask. Other locations are not so friendly sharing the chip/salsa wealth, therefore the wife and I will continue sticking with the Roanoke location only. So in short, dine-in = get all the chips, salsa, and tortillas you want, to-go = pay the same price get half of the delicious chips and salsa. A real bummer.

I used to love going on the border when I was younger but havent gone in about five years. When the new restaurant opened up I thought it wouldve been to try and see if its gotten any better. In short summary the food is mediocre at best. I got some fajitas to go and I wished I would of gotten Taco Bell. At least the price would of matched the quality of the food. The tortillas that came with the food look like they were made using someones foot. Then the chicken, the most important part tasted like a piece of rubber. Honestly they should just scrap this restaurant since its already slow all the time. Maybe they should turn that into a ihop, instead of this poor excuse for food.

On The Border in Roanoke, TX was horrible. I had a very "hood" experience. Today, I attempted to call in an order for my wife who is pregnant. A young lady named Kali or something similar answered and transferred me to "to go" as she put it. I was then on hold for about 20mins as I was enroute. I got to the restaurant and I was still on hold! So I asked for Kali who greeted me nicely and attempted to get someone else to help again and they too told me it would be a minute after I explained that I had been and was still on hold as I showed them my phone connected with their restaurant. Therefore, since nothing real was done; I rejected their service and had to leave unsatisfied.

Second time to restaurant and the service was horrible. We waited 13 mins at our table before I got up and asked to see manager. My family and I went through our chips and salsa without any drinks or any acknowledgement from the wait staff. Finally spoke with manager in bar as he was making drinks and told him the service sucked. I walked outside with my family...the manager followed us out and stated he was going to cover our meal if we came back in. We decided to come back in since we were celebrating my wifes birthday and we ended up getting a $70 bill after he had said he would comp it. We will not be returning!

Hostess was awful from the start, she refused to make eye contact or acknowledge our family for 15 minutes. From that point we should have left... we ordered drinks and queso and couldnt get chips or salsa at our table till after the queso came. From that point the food took over 1 hour to come. When it came time to pay they had added charges to the bill, put in the order wrong which is way our food took so long. They couldnt even fix our bill from that point. The manager was very nice and comped our meal, seems as if the manager is good but has very bad support working for him.
