I have to be frank with you. .. this place sucks. Soup on the buffet was cold.. silverware was dirty, kheer is bland and flavorless, some dishes on the buffet ok. Ordered mushroom mutter, I rate that 3/5. The atmosphere needs help. Lots of cosmetic flaws like holes and tears in the seats, water stains on the paintings. The womens bathroom was disgusting, the toilet was filthy with all sorts of nasty stains on the seat. To top it off the place is run by what seems to be a very unhappy family. The daughter cried and screamed a lot during the visit, the mom has zero customer service skills and does not help. The young boy seems to be about 13 and hes the only one who does any work or gives any customer service. Plus the buffet is advertised as 8.99 yet the bill was 11.90. How? Tax couldnt be that much but how would I know, they didnt give me a receipt. I feel so bad for McKinney residents, as this is the only Indian place in town. Thank god I do not live here and I will NOT be back next time Im in town.

The only good thing about this place was the decent food. The sauces were made well and the naan/rice was good. It did have an authentic home-cooked taste, but a little too simple for such an expensive restaurant. On the flip side, the place was dirty- from the tablecloths that looked like they have never been cleaned to the nasty bathroom. The service was horrible. We were greeted and seated timely, but since we were not ready to order right away, we were not visited again for 15 minutes. Then, a different server took over after our order was taken. He did not utter a word to us the rest of our visit, except to verify who had what food. He slammed down the cups and dishes, instead of placing them gently. I couldnt believe the service we received after all the positive reviews on this site. Makes me wonder who is making them.

Love Little Taste of India! The food is great and the family that runs it is very sweet. Their lunch buffet is very good, but their dinner is even better, as everything is made to order and can be spiced to your liking. The buffet is more mild to suit the average taste. The buffet usually has a small salad bar, with pakoras, naan, rice, veggie korma, saag, goat curry, chicken curry, chicken tika masala, gulab jamun, rice pudding, and about 4-5 other dishes that change out on a regular basis. The menu is more extensive - their biryanis are quite good, as is the straight chicken tika. While it is the only Indian restaurant in McKinney, this is a great place that keeps us coming back for more!

Very, very good Indian food! The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was on point. They played pop music videos from India which made it just a fun experience in general. We got the appetizer assortment and were not disappointed. Our server recommended the paneer makhani over another option and we were so grateful because it was really a much better choice. I forgot what its called but the vegetable dumplings in almond creamy sauce was also so good. We got the German honey dessert thing too and it was so tasty like nothing Ive ever had before. He said they have it at the buffet every day so I highly recommend that for anyone reading this wondering if they should pick this place. Go!

We just moved to McKinney and ordered take out here, then went for dinner. First, the food was really good. I even wanted something not on the menu and they made it for me anyway. The service was excellent as well. One other sidenote: we thought the water tasted great, and since weve moved to Texas weve notice the water in restaurants tasted terrible. We asked the waiter why the water tasted so good and he said they have a filter on all water, even the water they cook with. Maybe thats why the food tasted so good! Update: Over a year later and still its one of our favorite places to eat. We went there on Christmas Eve and it was great, as always.

I stopped here and got the carry out lunch buffet, and was it ever good! The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection! It was amazing! Im not sure who saw me to the food bar, and then rang me up, but they took my container of food and wrapped it in cellophane, so that it didnt leak all over, and really - who takes the time to do that? How nice! Perfectly delicious Indian Cuisine. My son and I will go there for lunch, every chance we get! I love this place and am so glad we stumbled upon it!

Great Kadai Lamb! The food is very good. We do not do the buffet. We order from the menu. The service is different than what we are used to. The young son is the waiter. However, the chefs who I assume are his parents do come out and check on everything. The son gave my husband recommendations on what was spicy. He was right! They have a little girl who plays in the dining area. Our little girl joined her in playing. It is a family friendly atmosphere. The naan was good too!

We love this place! This is my favorite place to go for Indian food in the north Dallas area. It is a little bit of a drive but its worth it to me. They do a buffet for lunch and I think they also do it on Tuesday nights. The chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and garlic naan are the best! Their meatball dish is pretty good too! The owner is friendly and always there to make sure your experience is great. We highly recommend this place! Id eat here everyday if I could afford it.

I rate them 5 star. The family that runs it are lovely people. I had a unique experience of having buffet lunch one Saturday. When it was time to pay, I realized I had forgotten my wallet. The owner is a gentleman and his response was so humane and kind!! I was very hungry that noon... had been out of home since early morning. It was a meal I will remember forever. Wish the restaurant good luck!! Am back today.... :) great food; served with smiles!!

Taste of India is good. Not great, but good. Some of the dishes are lacking character but some are absolutely beautiful. My main complaint with this place is that they clean the glass tabletops with Windex and that isnt the nicest aroma to accompany any food. I eat here a few times per month and if you get there near the end of the lunch buffet, they will clean four or five tabletops and that is all you can smell. There has to be a better way!

Worst Worst Worst !!!!!Very bad Food , Looks like whole family is living in resturant.... Little Boy was taking orders , spilling water everywhere and on us . I asked for cold water and he poured my used( glass) water in to a pitcher and started giving same water to us and may be others too...Bad resturant smell. Dal Makhani was tasting frozen , chicken was so blend, plates were so greasy ...... Really spoiled our family dinner .

Im very particular about Indian food growing up eating very traditional Indian food with top notch spices. This restaurant blew away my expectation and Ive been to over 30 different Indian restaurants thinking no one could match the home-cooking of my secondary family. Great prices and phenomenal food. I will never be going to a different restaurant as long as Im within 50 miles of the area.
