I anticipated trying out this place for a few months after some people had been hyping it up. I finally decided to keep back on a lazy Saturday and for the 1st time also use GrubHub to deliver this "great food". Well ordering the food and delivery was a breeze. My son, god daughter and I were jumping for joy because were were READY TO SMASH. But when we saw what was in front of us..The "Chicken platter" this piece of red, dry brick sat atop a bed of rice floating in this mystery sauce. The "Crab platter" was that same rice and mystery sauce sprinkled with backfin Crab meat. The "cream of crab" had about 1/2 inch of oil or grease sitting on top and it wasnt "creamy" at all..looked and tasted like salted pan scrapings. As if all of that (the main courses) werent bad enough...the asparagus was salty as ever.. I hated every bit and was forcing myself to eat it because I wasnt willing to just wasted $50...but then I vomited it all back up. My son didnt touch his rice and he loves rice and he put a lot of hot sauce on the chicken to make it bearable. The food still...5 hours later is sitting on my table...smh Update: I contacted GH, they in turn contacted Cafe 1137 who despite me throwing up & my food still sitting on the table ..did not want to refund my coins. They lady kept trying to bargain with them and they only agreed to give me back 1/2 of my $50 that was spent (in which I DO NOT agree with for their already high ass prices & very low quality of food $50 should have been easily a go) . But the lady from GH gave me $25 in Grub-bucks towards my next order. She was very nice, professional & empathetic. I do plan to use their services again...but Id have to be a starving orphan in Somalia to order from that place again.

My first time ordering well trying to order from this place they were out of everything I wanted to order which I thought was terrible because it was three hours before closing time. I gave them a second shot.I order honey lemon pepper wings they were decent, but we received a small portion of food with a high price. I tried them out for a third time today, and I ordered honey old bay wings they were so burned they were black honey wasnt even on the wings it was sitting in the bottom of the tray. I called to tell the employees about my ordered they laughed and told me I could come get my money back. they didnt apologize, and couldnt offer me a new set of wings because they have no more chicken for the day considering they just opened a little over a hour ago I figured that was bad business. I will never visit this place again.

My friend referred me to Cafe 1137 and since its so close to my home and work I figured I had to check it out. They had rave reviews on Instagram. When we got there for lunch the cashier didnt tell us until after we placed or order that it was cash only. They use the clover system. They have an ATM in the venue just got this purpose. Frustrating as we only had credit. Once we received our food it didnt come with bread and one other thing as described as she said it comes with a whole order and we ordered half. Didnt know there was even two different options. The catfish and salmon platter were good but a little spicy and very small portions and alot of rice. We later have it another try for the wings which were heavily battered but taste very good as well. Food is overall good, price is a tad bit high for the light portions.

Not impressed at all! After months of anticipation and all of the hype from a few people that I talked to about this place, I must say that I am very very disappointed. I expected the high price from what everyone informed me about, but the 1137 specialty platter I got and Pepsi was definitely not worth the $19 and change. I didnt see lump crab as advertised but instead a light sprinkle of what looked like back-fin... very light. But for 20 bucks (rounding) you already know I still smashed, lol. I must say that the taste of the dish was on point though, seasoned well and the salmon was cook just right, and the pregnant lady at the front was very polite, even walked out with my food while I was waiting in my car. She gets a 5 star for customer service.

The food is delicious but its extremely overpriced now. Before the platters was huge and you had enough for lunch the next day. I bought a salmon platter with shrimp. Now granted I knew it cost alittle bit more but definitely not what it came to. My total was $22.. The cost of a salmon platter is 13.99. So apparently the shrimp is maybe around $6 dollars. I only got 5 shrimp . Not to mention, I did not receive bread. Thats a problem. Im sorry their food is amazing but it not that good to get played. Costumer service was not too bad. I was told before getting there that the machine was not working. Its a shame. I really love cafe 1137 but its not worth spend that amount of money for the little bit of food

I really wanted to love and support this place but the customer service is horrendous. I am black and try to support black owned business but boy do they make it hard. Ebony and the other females answering the phones never say when the machine is down or in case of the greenmount location is non existent smh has u drive all the way to their location just to walk up the block to u a surcharged ATM or the one inside of the Windsor location.. And then off no apologizes or discounts for the inconvience I am DONE with this disservice Ill give my money to others before I put myself or family thru that experience. Spread the word save ur self Food is good. Not good enough for crap service

Credit card machine is always "conveniently" not working. This is 2017 people dont always carry cash and its an annoyance to the customer when you dont give them the option of credit card payment. Also the prices on the menu are way too high and the food isnt worth the high prices. Customer service is non existent and unfortunately this type of place is exactly why people have problems supporting black businesses. Tried to support this business but customer service is a big part of any successful business and this establishment doesnt understand that unfortunately.

I love the food and the service the cashiers are friendly and even the cook. BUT some of the men that work in this establishment act like they never seen females before plus all the loud cussing from the back is tacky. I 100% support black businesses but this will prevent customers from coming back. Also the food isnt consistent as in taste (especially the rice is either hard or cooked the correct way, the wings are seasoned or its not, and etc) and portions. One day youll get a platter and its filled to the rim with rice and sometimes its little to none.

I go there every Friday. When they first opened they gave you a lot of food and now the portions have gotten smaller. I waited for my food almost an hour. When I finally got my food she offered me a lemonade or a pudding. No thanks and she didnt even apologize for the wait. Dont get me wrong the food is good but this is not the first time I had to wait a long time for my food. The owner gave me my money back for waiting so long for my food. I will not be going back there. Enough is enough.
