Worst place, in chicken biryani they had used the chicken manchurian pieces instead of regular biryani pieces. I had placed take away or to go order this noon and when I tried biryani, its chicken pieces were clearly coated the way they prepare for chinese chicken manchurian or chicken 65 And it was not just that but its chicken pieces also had clearly distinct chinese flavor than the biryani masala. When I reported the issue they gave most bizzare answer that they cook pieces seperately.. Now who cooks biryani this way.. and today noon I randomly took look at their buffet menu and chicken biryani was there in it.. that looked like regular biryani pieces and in my take away clearly these guys mixed up left out chinese style chicken piecese in biryani. I had tried their buffet sometime back and had no issues with chicken biryani then. This is the first time I ordered this non veg dish in take away from Iravat and this is how they serve it. Complete NO to this place.

We usually frequent Mac Grill around the corner from this place but we saw this place and thought wed give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The food quality is superb, they have put a lot of detail into each dish. Weve gone there for the lunch buffet as well as dinner from the menu and both were outstanding quality and freshness. We try to go there as a family whenever we can. My boys enjoy the chicken 65 and I like the Lamb Koorma. The Waitstaff was very attentive filling our glasses and clearing our plates as fast as we did the opposite :-) This place has become our first choice for Indian food. One suggestion however to the Iravat guys: try to spread customers out across the entire place instead of crowding everyone into the one area. Sure makes it cozy but I would rather have some space - just personal preference.

Went in for the buffet at 1pm on a Tuesday, and we received excellent service. They made some fresh Naan for us with butter brushed on it, so good. The butter chicken and chicken tikka were both very tender and flavorful. But the best part was the Gulab-jamun dessert. Better than my moms! So tender and just the right level of sweetness. They are served warm, which was surprisingly good. Kheer was also served warm and had a delicate sweet flavor, also very good. I wish I saved more room for the dessert. Wish we lived closer! My only negative feedback was the walls looked a little dingy, perhaps needing a paint job or just a Magic Eraser, but other than that, great place.

I would not suggest anyone to visit this restaurant. The manager is very rude and during the buffet we have to frequently ask them to refill the items and serve the naan. They take hell lot of time to refill the items and when we ask them to refill the things they look at us angrily. Looks like they have few teenagers working there and it doesnt look good the way they interact with customers. I went 3-4 times and all the time i found the same menu which is boring some times. WARNING: Please dont go during Indian festivals because they charge more without any notification and also there wont be any addition to the menu because of additional charge.

We came in for lunch and I made sure to check for items on the buffet that I would enjoy. If I had known how this would progress, I would have ordered off the menu. The offerings had been picked over and very little was left, but I was told more would be brought out. When I asked for more food to be brought to the line, I was told that they would not make any more (butter chicken, tandoori chicken, etc.). I complained and was told that NEXT time they would comp us for our drinks with the buffet. This is the first time Ive left a buffet hungry. Food quality (if available) is good. Come earlier for the buffet or order off the menu.

This restaurant has a very arrogant manager Faisal who usually works during evenings. I ordered my food but kept arguing with me about the menu and kept asking me to call the owner if I have more questions. I asked him to provide me owners number and he asked me to cancel the order and leave but he is not going to apologize or give me owners number. I went with my family and have a very young kid so I just bite the bullet and ate there. The food was no better than their service. I would highly encourage you to not goto this place if you dont want to spoil your day or evening

In terms of flavor, this is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in the DFW area right now. They have a great buffet, when I went, I found the following items to be exceptional: Chili chicken Tikki masala Tandoori Saag Paneer Goat Curry Naan We came here for dinner and both of our meals were fantastic. Unfortunately, we picked dishes that we dont usually pick, so I cannot remember the names...sorry. If it was closer, it might be my default Indian restaurant, but we are lucky in Plano to have a plethora of good Indian restaurants from which to choose.

This is the worst place I have ever been to in my entire life. I almost eat 5 or 6 times outside a week and I have never seen so pathetic customer service in my ten year traveling and eating outside experience. The guy at the front is so arrogant and he must be thinking he is feeding the needy for free. Stay away from this place if you can. Greecy food can make you sick. If you go with 4 adults and 2 kids then expect a 18% gratuity automatically added to you bill. They might have already figured nobody tips them for their pathetic service.

Ive been to this restaurant many, many times, and Ive always gotten great customer service, so Im very confused by some the reviews by other people! One time I left a glove there, and they saved it for me and returned it the next time I came in. Also, Ive eaten at many Indian restaurants, and I think the food at Iravat is excellent. My favorites are the Kashmiri Rice and the Chicken Biryani. Just thinking about it makes me want to go get some! Like any lunch buffet, the food is best if you go during a busier time.

- Rude owner - Staff keeps changing every month so lots of untrained cook and waiters - Owner doesnt care for the desi customers - Both staff and owner want to offer best service to non-desi customers - If you tell the owner that the food was salty , then he tells you to go to another restaurant instead of politely saying Sorry - If you tell him that the food was not hot, he tells you that Indian food is not hot - If you tell the owner that the table needs to be cleaned, the owner tells you to find another table

The service was pretty good and food was good as well. Good place to try some decent Indian/ Pakistani food. We had the chicken tikka masala - it was great! Chicken biryani.. not too bad... chicken 65 not too bad.. it was boneless chicken covered in herbs and spices but the taste was pretty good.. not what I expected their chicken 65 to be though. Nice ambience for a family dinner. My mom liked their masala dosa as well... a little overpriced compared to places like BBQ tonite but food is pretty good!
