My first impression of this place was horrible because when I called in my order to go the woman on the phone acted like she was barely paying attention to what I was asking for and acting like I was just annoying her by calling in my order. I go pick the food up and then get to the school to have lunch with my son. I pulled the food out to find that I have two plain burgers. I ordered (and paid an extra $1.50 PER burger) for bacon and cheese. I immediately called to let them know there was an error on the order and they were persistent that I bring the food back. I explained to the SAME woman that I placed my order with that I was already at the school eating lunch with my son FOR HIS BIRTHDAY and I was not about to drive all the way back over there to show them my plain jane wrong order. She argued with me and was persistent there was nothing they could do. I ask to speak to a manager and proceed with my story and he cuts me off about half way through and told me to bring the food back. I said " Please dont cut me off while Im trying to tell you whats going on and that Im at the school to have lunch with my son for his birthday and Im not bringing this food back because I do not have time." He was very rude and snappy and I told him that he and his staff need to work on their phone etiquette and learn how to treat customers. I WILL NOT give this company another penny! Not to mention I work at City Bank and our employees do lots of business with this place. My coworkers cannot believe the treatment I received either! Very upset and disappointed!

My Wife and I LOVE Red Zone Cafe! They have many options on the menu from chicken fried steak to club sandwiches. They have the tastiest double cheeseburgers with curly fries! All menu items are made fresh to your order. Its also great that they serve breakfast all day. My favorite is the 3 egg Western Omlet with hash browns and a side of refried beans, plus two tortillas. The place is very clean to include the restrooms. The waitresses are super friendly and their service is fast. It has a comfortable old diner feel to it and the walls are adorned with Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboys pictures. The people you see eating here range from blue collars, old timers, young families and college kids to business professionals, law enforcement, and first responders. Id rather eat here any day of the week. They have plenty of seating but plan to sit a few minutes for the lunch rush. Parking isnt bad as they are in a plaza. I just cant say enough good things about this place. Yall just need to try it out. Thanks!

I go here pretty regularly and never walk away without good food and coffee. Im pretty picky about my coffee and have never had a bad cup here and Ive had many, many cups. I eat breakfast here and am a creature of habit so I cant speak to the food beyond breakfast burritos. Theyve always been good and Ive never had an order come out wrong. The only downside I can say is this place is popular, hence its noisy at times. I dont mind because it has a diner atmosphere so if youre looking for a quiet meal, try to sit in the back area by the banquet hall. The staff here are always in a pretty good mood and are easy to deal with. Again, the only complaint I have is that this place gets busy sometimes and they can only run around so fast. Its worth the wait though!

I ate here A LOT during college. The food is so cheap and delicious. Its classic diner chow at its best. I think I loved everything on the menu, although I never tried the Mexican dishes. The way they make their green beans with bacon and tomatoes is my standard for good, southern-style green beans. If it isnt cooked like that, its only so-so in my book. Also, the grilled chicken salad is a tasty healthy option, and it comes out on a huge platter. Super filling and inexpensive.

This nonpretentious restaurant is a super value and absolutely delicious. Nothing is done fancy-like, but everything is simply executed to perfection. And sometimes doing the simple things right is the most difficult. What a great, friendly, and attentive staff... every single one of em. Try it and youre likely to stop buying groceries and eating all your meals there. Thats just how inexpensive and delicious everything is. Great job, Red Zone!!!

Awesome place. Im a new arrival to this great State of Texas, on my way to San Antonio. Spent the night in Lubbock and found this gem. I got a sangwich for supper but it looks as if the specialty of the house is chicken fried steak. First thing I noticed when I pulled up and got outta the car was the wonderful smell. Looks to be filled with locals. I notice some of them knew the waitresses. Thumbs up eat well.

Worst place to eat for lunch, we were discriminated against, treated with nothing but attitude, we were told to sit by the door while COUNTLESS groups of people walked in and were seated immidiately, we were ignored after I refused to sit by the exit/entrance door in front of my 6 year old child, we dont treat people that way and we didnt deserve to be treated so poorly. I will never go back.

Its a great place to enjoy great food with great service with a low price! Everytime we go, we always get a great hostess/waitress. Our orders are always right, tasty and freshly made! Their catfish is very good as well as their chicken fried steak. But if you want an absolutely awesome burger, then this is the place to go to get your combo and go! :) Fast, friendly and AFFORDABLE~!

Not amazing but will give it another try. The waitress was nice and greeted us with a smile. I got the biscuit and gravy with one meat choice. The bacon was good but my biscuits and gravy came out room temperature. The gravy lacked flavor. Im not saying no but will get another food choice next time. My lunch partner did enjoy her food and I tried the eggs and they were delicious.

We love this place! Perfect place to go if your wanting that homemade, comfort food. The prices are very reasonable! Weve gone for breakfast (which is served all day), lunch, and dinner and have been pleased every time! I agree with the reviewer below, Sundays do get a bit busy and parking is hard to find so get there early.

A few of my co-workers recommended me to the Red Zone and I was quite impressed. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and remembered me after only being there a few times before. I would recommend this place to anyone...Hope this helps...
