So lets start off with my simple order of an ice latte with almond milk. Unfortunately I was disappointed from the start the didnt have almond milk so I settled for the soy milk. When my latte arrived not only did it taste like water but looked like the after effect of what a snow globe would look like but the snow was my soy milk. A simple coffee in a place with the name Cafe in it shouldnt be such an painstaking task. So on to my order. This was my first time here so who knows best on whats a must on the menu? Of course the staff.... I was recommended the french toast. When it arrived it didnt look like anything I had seen from past post on here. It was a lot larger and the bacon tosed on to beside long cut banana slices. This was not what I expected but I was hungry and I went for it. The first bite wasnt to bad as the crust had some strength and texture to it but that was the best part of the french toast. The next few bites just got softer and softer till it was more of a mush. If it wasnt for the brown syrup I probably would have stopped after the 2nd bite. There was one saving grace and that was the bacon. It was full and thick with almost no fat. If Im going to state an issue I will also post my solution. The bread needs work it had a frozen taste to it. Not sure if the toast is made fresh or if it sits premade but something was way off. The syrup should be on the plate, drizzled on top lightly and a small amount brought out on the side. The banana should be chopped in small slices as it would make the process more enjoyable.

Wed previously visited the Breakfast Brunch Café on the boardwalk in Town Lake and had a great experience. Since we were already headed down Fry Road we thought we would try this location. Big Mistake. When we arrived we noticed that the restaurant was quite small and it was near capacity. Nevertheless, we were seated within 5 minutes. Not long after being seated our server took our food and drink orders. I ordered the healthy scramble with potatoes and my husband ordered the hamlet. Then the waiting began. After about 30 minutes of waiting the server came to our table to inform us that our food was coming up next. After another 10 minutes or so our food finally came out. My dish was explained in the menu as scrambled eggs with mushrooms, onions, & peppers. What I received was a plate of egg whites, 4 small specs of mushroom and barely any onions or peppers. I informed the server that I was expecting eggs not egg whites since the menu does not specify egg whites. Her response was "thats a good observation". Seriously. No offer or attempt to rectify the situation, just a general acknowledgement that a mistake had been made and she moved on. At this point I was hungry and had already waited over 40 minutes for eggs and potatoes so I didnt bother asking for a replacement. I ate the potatoes (which were actually pretty good), paid the check, and then came home and fixed breakfast. So I essentially paid $10 for a 1/2 cup of diced potatoes and a very good lesson -- never go back to this restaurant again.

I visited this place during their grand opening and had a good meal. My wife and I returned a month later and I was disappointed by everything I ordered. The standard coffee was very weak which makes it hard for someone who enjoys coffee black to enjoy. So I ordered a bloody Mary. I grew up on a cattle farm in Iowa and this drink made me remember it vividly as it tasted like a cattle pen smells. My wife thought of was exaggerating until I made her try it. For food I ordered the waffle sandwich which was pretty good but towards the end the balsamic flavor was overpowering. The red potatoes that came with it were incredibly salty. We also sampled the beignets for an appetizer and I feel they were average. My wife loved her entire meal from start to finish and disagrees with me 100%. The service was lackluster, my coffee sat empty before being refilled and despite the place being at 50% capacity we were not checked on enough. The decor was very pleasant and I enjoyed the decorations. The layout of seating is terrible however, if this place was busy it would be impossible to maneuver with how close the tables are too each other. I personally will not being coming back here as there are plenty of alternatives.

Food: Salmon Benedict - I liked the biscuit because it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I wished the tomatoes were sliced a little thinner, and avocados. I think the salmon lacked bit of extra oomph. It wasnt bad but wasnt mind blowing either. Truffle Fries- Fries were crispy and soft on the inside. I wished the parmesan stuck to the fries more than each other. Bloody Mary- This was great! I had no complaints about this! Service: The service was good. Waitress was nice and checked on us periodically. Atmosphere: Quaint little place. Not too many tables. Other: If youre bringing infants that require carriers just be aware that its the most stroller friendly place. There are some tables that have space for it. We ended up using the booth for the baby. On a Sunday we waited 25 mins to get a table for 6 around 11:30AM.

Dont make a reservation if you want to come here. They dont know how to stick to them. Made a reservation for Sunday morning for 6. My group got there on time and the hostess had us wait 20 min to find extra chairs. She told us our table is ready and when she was about to seat us she said "So...someone took the extra chairs I got for you. Youre going to have to wait a little longer" I asked how long and she couldnt give me an estimate. My friends I brought here were from out of town. We were on a schedule and didnt have time to wait much longer since it was unknown how long we would have to wait. So we left. The atmosphere looked great and the food coming past us looked wonderful. The servers waiting the tables looked very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The 2 hostesses just seemed very overwhelmed and confused.

First visit. Took family there for breakfast. Couteous staff. We were sat at table so wobbly drinks wouldve spilled. Advised waiter, instead of re-seating us, he went and found another waiter to fix table with napkins under table legs while we just stood there and waited. We were served water and coffee, no problem. A bit too long, the waiter returned to take order. Once again, a bit too long for food to arrive. The food was sad... Bacon loaded with grease, pancakes undercooked, omelette dry with vegetables undercooked. We were served the food with no condiments. No syrup, no offer for anything else. Food was lukewarm by the time we got everything. Needless to say, when the check came, our meals were overpriced for the quality of food served. First and LAST visit.

This was by far the best breakfast I have ever had! The "Chicken and Waffles" were absolutely delicious. The chicken was crispy and tasted similar to a Jamaican jerk chicken with a little bit of spice and alot of flavor! The waffles were light and airy with a nice crisp. The "Classic Breakfast" was also very good. The eggs were cooked well and had the perfect amount of seasoning. We substituted the bacon for the potato hash and it was a new take on breakfast potatoes, they were sliced potatoes sautéed with a hint of tomato and seasoned perfectly. The pancakes were nothing to write home about, they were just plain pancakes. Our waiter was Seth and was enthusiastic and upbeat and served us promptly even though the place was packed!
