Take Out Experience - I did not dine in. Total Cost $9.84 - single item . I got the egg byte Omelet. My problem with this is the price. when I opened the white Styrofoam container i was displeased with the portion. i mean it was 1/4 the size of the Styrofoam container. I finished the Omelet in four bites (Big Bites) . The quality of the produce and food used, to me, looks average - nothing special. I have to say I am disappointed with the quantity and (average)quality for the price you pay. a 10 dollar omelet should fill me up to where I am completely full. I went to the kitchen and made another omelet because the one I purchased at the Egg & I did not come close to satisfying my Hunger.

Told the server I was gluten free and ordered a make your own omelet with bacon, spinach, cheddar, and avocado. When it came it had English muffins resting on it and mushrooms. I sent it back because of the mushrooms and when it came out theyd forgotten the spinach. By that time my family were all done eating so I asked for my 3rd omelet to go. As I was eating it in the car I found ham instead of bacon. We turned around and went back and I insisted I got my money back. We live out of state but visit Lubbock often. We will never go back here.

Wonderful, healthy breakfasts. Great wait staff. Kitchen has had a problem with quality control a couple of times. Having eaten here over two dozen times I have gotten raw eggs twice, and not on an eggs benedict order... The skillet dishes are the usual victims. They have always fixed it, and the manager is right on anything that even sounds like a complaint. A five star place, if the kitchen just stayed on top of things every time. My guess is the issue is a part time cook, because the regular one is just spot on!

ABSOLUTELY DONT EAT THERE !!!!! The back of the house is disgusting ...! I know after working there. I wouldnt ever let my family eat there . The manager thinks hes an exception to the rules of wearing gloves and a head cover. Also when I was hired I discussed my health issues and was not even allowed to take a short break, saying "by law I dont have to give you a break . I would definitely try to find a mom and pop spot to eat at.

The food was Fabulous if you dont count the fact that my eggs were seriously overcooked. Within moments the manager arrived (maybe she saw my expression when I cut into my egg) and asked if there was a problem and I had new properly cooked egs in just a few minutes. Servers were nice, friendly and efficient. Only 4 stars because I expected a restaurant with egg in the name to be able to properly cook an egg.

We ordered the Athena scramble and spinach mushroom bacon omelet. Both were presented uickly and beautifully. The Athena was very flavorful and great texture, and I hate watery eggs. Our waitress Averie was awesome very attentive and available even while waiting on other tables. The manager checked that we enjoyed the food as well. I just an overall great experience not too loud very clean chill space!

When the place opened it had a lot of potential. After a few months, I felt the quality was dropping and didnt come much after. (undercooked eggs, which seemed a travesty with their name), but came back today and the food and service was excellent. Everything came in good time with great quality. Manager was surveying the floor. It was all around just good. Highly recommended. Hope they keep it up.

Waited for 30 minutes Sunday morning for the two of us to sit outside. Every table on the patio was open but the hostess said they went "by the list" and wouldnt seat us even with 5 open tables outside. Inside we counted 5 open booths that were bussed and ready to be used, yet the hostess kept telling people the wait was 15 minutes. Very frustrating. Well be taking our business elsewhere.

Dont come here if youre hungry or expect food on time. Left after an hour of waiting for 2 sandwiches. Service is incompetent, cooks are slow. Its not a matter of employees though, as theyre nice and they try. This is clearly a catastrophic failure of management. Manager didnt even come out to apologize for the "hour" sandwiches. We left for a restaurant with a working kitchen.

Me and my guest were not impressed. The eggs were asked to be over medium cooked and were cooked over easy. On their take out paper menus there are no prices. My server was terribly unprepared (Alderey) as she carried no straws. On a plus note their tables and restroom were spotless and extremely clean. The only good part of breakfast was the Apple Cinnamon pancakes.

I ordered the Greek salad and it did not have feta cheese, roasted tomatoes, or artichoke hearts as described. All it had was chopped lettuce and tomatoes, a few sliced red onions, a handful of kalimata olives and three chicken strips. Big rip-off for the price and I could have made this at home.

I drove here to have breakfast. The website says they open at 6:00am on Wednesday. The front door says they open at 6:00am on Wednesday. Its currently 6:15 am and they are still closed. Thats very poor I think. I think its a reflection of their overall true, behind the scenes, quality.

This was my first time to The Egg and I and it was AMAZING! We ordered the french toast and biscuits and gravy, both with scrambled eggs. It was all melt in your mouth good. Our server was also so friendly and sweet. I am so glad there is another good breakfast place in Lubbock!

Very well worth my 2 hr drive. I had previously tried this restaurant in Castle Rock, CO and was hesitant about trying it out here in Texas. Very clean place. Food was amazing and served was very attentive. Will definitely come back to this location.

We came to Lubbock today from Clovis NM for a dr appt and asked somebody where would be a good place to eat breakfast at. A few people recommended The Egg and I and it was absolutely wonderful!!! We were very impressed!

Food was okay... the waitress wasnt very attentive and messed up my order. What I ordered came out missing things, and my order also took several minutes longer to get to the table than my table mates.

Mrs. Martinez and Steve have done a great job at this location. With being a manager of their competitors, I can definitely see why we run neck and neck. Great service, great food, great experience.

The mens restrooms had piss all over the floor and there were no paper towels, makesme wonder if theyre sanitary in the kitchen. The cooks have to use the restrooms too at some point makes you wonder!
