Ive been patronizing the Jindbehs since the first one opened in Las Colinas more than 20 years ago and the quality of both the food and the service has remained top notch (although the prices have sadly escalated). The teppanyaki (not to be confused with hibachi, which is actually cooked on an open grill) is fun, tasty and filling. The soup is suitably delicate and the salad is crisp with a delightful dressing. I recommend chopsticks as a very effective tool for salad btw. I have tried many of the various meat offerings and found them all excellent, but I am definitely partial to the filet mignon. While the fried rice is well prepared, I also stay with the steamed rice, a nod to my eating experiences in Japan, where the rice bowl serves as a brief stopping point for the dipped items. Jinbeh offers tataki - raw, marinated beef slices - which is not a menu item often found. I havent had it for a while and my son-in-law advises the sauce is not quite as supreme as previously. But he still recommends it. I also havent had sushi/sashimi at Jinbeh for a while, but they have always had a first rate presentation of that option. As far as I know, only the Las Colinas venue offers a tatami room and the menu to go with that.

Great location, love the canals in Las Colinas so much. You have the option of hibachi table, sushi bar, traditional table, or a tatami room. Me and wife took the parents for a dinner on a Sunday and there was just 3-4 other groups. We started with shrimp tempura as appetizer and it was good, yum Chicken fried rice was great, my father had the teriyaki steak and the sauce was to die for. My wife had a gigantic salad, I got a chicken hot pot which was served in a ceramic pot. Really neat! Nice healthy option. Overall we had a great time, and the food was top notch.

I had a reservation with my friends for a birthday dinner and ended up waiting a hour and a half after my reserved time just to be seated at an actual table. To compensate for our wait time, we received "free fried rice" which was included in the menu item that I ordered which made it not free. The restaurant was suppose to close at 10 my group wasnt even seated til 10:05. Afterwards, I called to voice my concerns about our service I get the repeated answer "no manager is on duty today." This place is such a rip off and Im never going back to this place again.

I thought that the food was above average, but the ambiance and service were sub par. It was a special evening and I thought the menu and website promised more than I would experience at something like PF Changs. The food reflected the price, but I felt that I paid over $70 (for two) for a great dinner set in a Chinese buffet with service that reflected the same. The only thing missing was the buffet. Music that I could listen to on KISS FM didnt exactly create a better atmosphere either. Next time, Ill pay less and enjoy P.F. Changs instead.

First visit here as me and my boyfriend were in search of a regular japanese restaurant we could go to since its hard to find something similar from back home. The atmosphere was great, forced you to relax and take a breather from a busy day. I love love loved the Japanese table settings that really impressed me. The food was great and filling and definitely different in some ways. Would it if you could maybe fix your yummy sauce a bit. Pricing was fine and even though the location was in an upscale area I didnt feel out of place.

They tricked me. Normally tonkatsu ramen is $10 for dinner hours. One time I ordered a Togo , the lady told me that the price is $15 not $10 because it is dinner hours. I have been ordered this dish here every time I visited and it always $10. I bought it anyway because I trusted them. Then I went home and double check the price on their website and it is still $10 for tonkatsu. Seriously!? Why would you do that to a customer? I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. You guys definitely lose a loyalty customer.

I go here a lot because it is near where I work. The food quality is generally better than average, but I have never found a dish that really stood out. The service can be spotty. When the owner is on duty, its great. If not, good luck. Waaaay over the top prices. These guys fantasize that they are a top of the line dinner place, when theyre a decent lunch place at best. The kinda low score is for bad "bang for the buck". I would not seek this place out if it wasnt so locally convenient.

To start, my party of six and I were staying at the Omni Mandalay Bay and we decided to give them a try. We sat at a regular table and it seemed like the food was a bit overpriced for what it was. Not to say the food wasnt good, it just seemed overpriced. I had a Long Island Iced Tea that wasnt the best and they refunded it and the only other issue I had was the waitress not bringing my rice for my teriyaki. If I find myself in Irving again, I may consider returning.

The hibachi is alright. Ive never been impressed with it, but my coworkers often want to go back. There are two sides to the restaurant - one with the hibachi grills and the other with traditional dining tables. If youd like to choose something off the standard menu, you can still do so even when you are seated in the hibachi area. Jinbehs bento boxes and tempura dishes are pretty good, so I usually get one of those when going to Jinbeh with coworkers.

who charges $4 extra for fried rice with the hibachi itself already being expensive? these guys do. they tried to tell me that anywhere you go for hibachi you will get steamed rice and that fried rice will cost extra. this is the first place i have ever been that does that. stuck with sushi which was good but also expensive because of no specials during dinner hours.

Went for my birthday, the sushi was hit or miss a couple of the rolls were bitter, and I sent them back. The prices were so so but the 18% gratuity they tacked on exceeded the level of service, and according to their menu was added to parties of 8 or more. I had to point out that there were only 7 of us, and get a manager to take the charge off.

Friendly staff and yummy food. It is a nice little gem in Las Colinas that I would recommend checking out. They have a couple of rooms with traditional Japanese-style seating, a few TVs at the bar, and a few hibachi grills. The sushi we tried was fresh and tasty. They have a variety of options and I was pleasantly surprised.
