My family treated my sister-in-law for her birthday as she wanted to go to a Sushi Restaurant in the Lewisville area. After doing some research, we decided to go to Jinbeh. We made reservations at 7 but had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. The lady who took our drink and food order was very curt and not overly friendly. When one member of our party asked if they served sweet tea, she replied "no" in a very short tone of voice. The meals include a shrimp appetizer. Since Im allergic to shellfish, I presented my concern and asked if I could make a substitution. She seems rather put-out and snapped "no" as well and snipped that I could give my shrimp to someone else. I was a little put off by her attitude as I thought this was a valid concern and question. The presentation by the Hibachi chef was very well done and the food was great overall with very generous portions. I do agree with some reviewers that they do go overboard on the use of soy sauce. Prices were quite reasonable for the amount of food that you received and the bus staff was very efficient in filling drink refills.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, and it has consistently been great. The chefs all have their own personality that shows in their cooking. Some do place more emphasis on the show than others, but the food always turns out great. I dont eat Sushi, so I cant tell you anything about that. The best time to go here is at lunch. There is a fantastic lunch deal where 2 people can each have their own huge meal, and walk out paying only $22 before tip. Pay a little extra to get fried rice, and a little extra for filet mignon, and its still more affordable than the majority of Japanese restaurants. Also, the only people that Ive taken here that didnt like the food have bad taste. There is more butter put on the food than some people may like, but it adds to the flavor a lot. Overall, wonderful restaurant staffed by wonderful people. If youre nervous, just try this place for lunch. I promise you wont be disappointed.

The worst service I ever experienced in restaurant. I had my nephew and family with me who came from Florida. It was so embarrassing for me afterwards. There were two japanese girls, sitting on the same table as we were. The young waiter was full time catering and caring for them, ignoring us completely, not even serving us food we ordered. Some of the items we ordered ended up in their plate which they packed and left. We got our tab very late. It messed with items we did not order also. It took a long time for the cashier to clear it up too. Not a word of sorry after all. If you are not japanese, I do no recommend anyone to go to this place. If you love japanese food, there are plenty of other restaurants around. We ourselves have had very good experience in other restaurants.

I was raving to my family that was coming in town to visit about Jinbeh. So we get the chance to take them there and we arrived at 8:30 they dont close to 10 mind you and as soon as we sit they tell us that the kitchen is closing at 9, and we need to order but we were still waiting on some of our party to arrive. Every ten minutes it was are you ready yet were closing down at 9:30 tonight..I have never had such bad customer service in my life!!!! I was very disappointed as well as embarrassed my family was subject to that treatment. I will never go there again which is very unfortunate because usually they food atmosphere and service is great but that one time completely put a bad taste in my mouth..

We had a group of 10 adults and a baby. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were celebrating a birthday and had a cake that we were going to have after lunch, but at someones home. They let us bring the cake in and they found a place to keep it nice and safe. The whole experience from the moment we walked in the door was, how can we serve you. The food was wonderful and they never let our drink glasses get empty. Definitely will be going back!

The sushi was fresh and the service was some of the best Ive ever had. Fresh hot towels at the beginning of the meal was a cool plus. Server made recommendations on sushi based on our likes. Fried cheesecake is pretty good. Tastes like something from the Texas state fair. Prices were average to slightly above average. The only thing Id recommend to the restaurant is add more rolls that dont have fried elements. Overall pretty awesome.

I really hate to give this 1 star. The food is absolutely fabulous! The service however lacks general customer service. For a place of this price you wont expect to get the check dished out while half way through with your meal, like the they at the crap shot cheap Asian buffet house! Have a little style and respect for your customers, it goes a long way!

Was food poisoned there at the Lewisville location. Informed management and they wouldnt address the problem. When calling they would give you the run around. Have yet to get a phone call back. I ordered the lobster tails and got really sick about an hour after leaving there. They lost a regular customer for life!!! BE AWARE!!!!!!!

The hibachi cooking is ALWAYS very good. Ive had salmon, steak and shrimp and all are always very good. Consistency is what they do best so there are no weak items on the menu. Ive never had the sushi so I cant give an opinion on that. Some people might find the miso salad a tad too salty but its delicious.

The best sushi and hibachi place my boyfriend and I have ever been to and we travel the globe for work. Jinbeh is amazing. The service is always excellent. On top of that the people are kind the food is great and the prices are fair. Fresh fish always. Love this place. Definatly worth a drive.

My family and I just got back from the Jinbeh in Lewisville and I was very impressed. I am a big Hibachi fan and they really put on a great show and cooked some excellent food. The servers were excellent and really catered to my young son. I highly recommend Jinbeh in Lewisville!

This was a bad experience. Not only did the chef walk away after putting food on he came back and didnt communicate at all with any of us, cooked the food left. This used to be one of our favorites, we will be looking for another place for fun and food. Suggestions??

I love JinBeh....this place is awesome! We went to the one in Las Calinas once also. The layout and ambiance of the restaurant is better at the one in Lewisville. The food is always great. Be sure to ALWAYS ask for extra garlic on everything! You cant go wrong.

Excellent hibachi place. The chefs are lively and funny, and the food is great. Ive had the sushi there a few times and its not bad for land-locked Dallas. We eat there every few months, its good enough to be a go-to place when we want hibachi.
