Bad Bones was booked to cater my wedding and completely left me hanging only 6 weeks before the wedding to scramble and find someone to feed 200 people on short notice. I booked them a full year in advance and confirmed 6 months and 3 months prior to make sure we were good to go. When I called 2 months before to give them my final head count, Bobbi, who seems to be in charge, acted as though shed never talked to me before and had no idea what I was talking about. She started by saying I could never afford the brisket, which I found pretty offensive, and then proceeded to tell me there was no way they could cater my wedding because she didnt even have anyone who could deliver, set up and serve it (something which was promised to me a full year prior). She cut me off on two different calls I made and promised to call me back, which she never did. I called a third, and frantic time, trying to figure out what I was going to do with such short notice, and again, she acted as though shed never talked to me before, called me by the wrong name, and made me feel like it was my fault that she couldnt cater because I had too many people to feed and was asking too much (again, I informed her a year prior that we could potentially have up to 300 people and she said that was no problem.) She again threw out a comment about how I couldnt afford brisket, even though she never gave me an estimate of its price that I had asked for. I finally told her that I had tried to find other options and was basically screwed at this point because she had led me to believe she could handle it and now was changing her mind. The last word I had was me pleading to help me out and cater for us as promised. She said, once again, that shed call me back, and once again, I never heard from her again. I ended up having to find someone to drive up from Wausau to help us out, and they were wonderful, thankfully. Talking with other locals, I heard Bad Bones had done this to at least 2 other brides, what a nightmare. I wish I had a read a review like this before counting on them, horrible business etiquette, not to mention, just plain inconsiderate.

Bab Bones is a unique spin on dinning. The change of pace was interesting. You walk in and see a big menu board on the left and place your order with the cashier lady as your order ziplines over to the kitchen for Aaron and his side kicks to make it for you. Ill admit they were busy and probably under staffed but the wait was worth it. I had the grinder which was a giant sausage patty log covered in marinara and mozz cheese. My wife and son and the chopped chicken sandwich which was supper yummy I was happy most of my sons chicken fell out so I could steal it. The inside seat is a little cramped but if it is nice outside there is seating outside or you can take it to go. The BBQ sauce selection was great with I think 5 to 6 different sauces to try out. I started with Memphis but resorted back to Kansas because it reminded me of Sweet Baby Rays. There is a large variety of specialty soda and Wisconsin micro breweries in a bottle. We look forward to the next trip up north to try it out. As we were leaving we noticed Aaron pulling more meat out of his smoke house out front to thank him for our visit.

Pizza is best ive had in the northwoods. One thing, the entrance to the parking lot is real dumpy looking, rotten landscape timbers line the driveway. Lot can only fit like 8-10 cars before you have to park alongside the busiest U.s. highway in the town.

Excellent bbq. I would highly recommend. After a long day of skiing, this hearty and smokey meal hit the spot. Savory sauces and tender meat. Very reasonably priced for smoked meat too. I will return with the ski gang next year.

Never had a bad meal. Great place to stop and get the chicken sandwhich and some Mac and cheese! And all the sauces are to die for. 5$ a bottle you cant go wrong and they deliver

The BBQ meat lovers pizza caused my brother to express his desire for his ashes to be scattered here when he dies. Long story short, it was a good pizza. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a super place, best smoked pulled pork ever. Try their potato salad and baked beans too. You can sit outside by the water in nice weather. Very casual and friendly.

This is the best place where real BBQ meat is cooked, with gorgeous home-made sauces. I came with my family from Russia to visit. Aarons restaurant pleasantly surprised me!

We dont have any BBQ places like this in Milwaukee. I wish we did. The cook asked us how things were as we were leaving, which was a nice touch.
