I ordered the Chicken Verdes enchiladas and there were not one, not two, but FOUR bones that were in the first half of the single enchilada I was eating. I approached the manager and all he said to me was "Well youre still talking to me now, arent you?" So the whole didnt kill you scenario was his cop out excuse. I was appalled. I dont do this. I dont complain at restaurants because I know the service industry. I didnt do it with the expectation of getting my food comped, just to let him know this isnt good for business and general health concerns, but he was very rude when I even tried to simply talk about it saying "if a chicken doesnt have bones, is it a chicken?" Which is fair, but not in my enchiladas which I dont wanna choke on? He just tried to make it seem like I was being unreasonable in my claims when no, it was FOUR bones I found in one single enchilada on the plate. He sent us a round of tequila to make up for it but does it really? If I hadnt noticed them and picked out the bones, would I have choked? Who knows but he shouldnt have been so nonchalant about it. Otherwise, the service wasnt bad. Our waiter was very apologetic but the manager tried to make me feel stupid for complaining about FOUR bones in one single enchilada which is frankly unacceptable.

Awful place. Avoid at all costs! Ordered from there a few times when we first moved to this area and food was not good so quit eating there. Today we decided to just order chips and salsa to go since the storm has everything else either shut down or without food. They couldnt even get that right. First of all gave us the wrong change back and just decided on their own to keep a almost $2 tip on a $7 check. Then charged us $3 for a side of grilled onions and $4 for chips and salsa. Looked at the order and the size of the containers for salsa were literally maybe a 1/4 of a cup. When I went back in to voice my opinion on charging way too much for the size they give you, the very unprofessional, manager said that he didnt appreciate basically me complaining and told me to call my congressman with my complaint. Zero customer service and unbelievably rude. I cant believe this person has any kind of management power. What a trashy person and a trashy place. Stay away if you want good food and to be treated like an appreciated, PAYING customer. NEVER AGAIN. This place just got the last money they will ever get out of me and I feel sick they got that. And I will make SURE I spread the word.

fuimos alos reyes y nos atendio rey muy amable estaban tocando kareoke los jueves y nos dimos cuenta que tambien tienen los viernes dj rey jr y el sabado tiene kareoke en espanol i nos esplico las especiales de lunes y martes margaritas $1.99 y las jarras $6.00 el ambiente esta muy bueno las fajitas delicioso y las aguas frecas deliciosas se lo recomiendo

I wouldnt recommend for anyone to go here. When we went I had green chicken enchiladas and almost every bite I took had chicken bones in it. I could have choked but goodness gracious I didnt. I tried giving them another chance and went the following week. Thats when i saw one worker female go open early in the morning and they didnt open there doors when the business should have been opening. Then I called the restaurant knowing someone was inside and she never answered the phone. I was just trying to have some lunch. Oh well I wont ever be going there again. They lost a good customer.

Absolutely the best mexican restaurant in the Champions area! This place has REAL mexican food and not that tex-mex crap served in chain restaurants. The salsa is picante the way salsa should be and the queso is to die for! This is the closest place I have found that makes food the way my mom makes it in her kitchen. Everything from the mole, the gorditas, to the quesadillas and tacos al carbon, pastor, barbocoa and tortas is absolutely delicious and very mexican-like. The decor and tables are somewhat outdated but the place is clean and the food is well worth it!

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO HAVE MARGARITAS, QUESO, and FAJITA BEEF QUESADILLAS! I have been hooked on this place since my friend introduced me to Ray. The staff is attentive and Ray genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. Casual atmosphere, family-friendly dining, and a great place to just go and hang out. Ray Jr. DJ’s on Friday and Saturday nights… great mix and suited to fit whatever the crowd may be that night.

Food was good, services was on point, dinner its spacious. Drinks were average not to crazy about it. My biggest disappointment was how heavy the sopapillas were. They already have sugar which its sweet, plus honey and or weeping cream. I think this dish can be better serve and improve to increase sells on dessert. Other than this being the only disappointment I like this place very much and will come back again.

One year ago today being new to Houston I took my wife here for her birthday dinner as she wanted Mexican food. Having no idea where we were I just googled Mexican restaurant near me and this place came up. Today is my wifes birthday and we just happened to stumble onto this place again!! Its amazing, authentic and very good value! Fast service friendly staff and great drinks!! A++++ FOR THIS PLACE!!

I just moved to the area from NYC. I have lived in a lot of different places. I was a little skeptical since there was only one other review out there but thought I would give it a shot since its very close. The food was great and the prices are amazing. Ray was our waiter and he was very attentive. Its not the fanciest place but definitely a good place to check out.

I love this mexican restaraunt not expensive @ all! LOVE THE CHIPS & SALSA PICANTE PERO RICO.. add pico de gallo only and it will have me there daily. I went last night and Im goin there again. Play more latin music salsa music. Youll love the crowd.. here I come!

Came in for lunch and found the food to be bland and completely without flavor. Service was good and the food was cheap. The place is completely empty for Friday lunch. This seems more like a night time drinking kind of place.
