Love it here! Their food is delicious, especially their chicken and lamb korma. Everything Ive ever had has been wonderful though. The service is also great. They were kind enough to reimburse me for a tow after Id parked at Napa to come in during a snow storm. Biryanis parking lot hadnt been well plowed and I was afraid to park alongside of their building so I made the decision to park along the Napa side. It was about an hour from Napas closing time and there wasnt anyone in their parking lot. They had "no parking" signs but NOTHING stated you would be towed or any information on where youd be towed. After finishing my meal with my boyfriend we went out to find my car was gone. We spoke to the people at Napa (who were incredibly rude and made comments that insinuated that a white person wasnt supposed to be towed but rather one of the Indian patrons) who advised that they had warned the Biryani Bowl owners to notify their customers of potential towing if parked at Napa. Biryani Bowl did not have anything warning this and in tears, I went over to advise them that they should put a sign on the door to warn others of this to avoid issues in the future. They were kind enough to offer to pay for my tow though I hadnt asked. Im incredibly grateful for their kindness and so with that kindness and wonderful food, definitely worth stopping in! Thanks again for everything!

It is now called Taste of India. Mothers day my family came along with me. THey were NOT busy at all. Waited for an hour after ordering and they forgot our samosas. The Samosas were frozen and rewarmed. The Naan tasted old crispy and had NO butter on it at all. WE ordered 2 orders of Chicken Tikka Masala one mild when medium plus, Lamb Tikka Masala medium and a vegatarian dish. The food was second rate and not spicy in the slightest. The service was terrible when we started letting them know we werent happy. Trying to salvage the night we ordered dessert. They "ran out Of Jamun. No disocunts on the bill NOTHING at all. The best he could do was apologize. Truly a pathetic experience. STEAR CLEAR!! Sultan however is under new management as well and much better.

We recently moved to the area from New York but did not visit Greater India sooner because of the reviews we found, much to our regret! We finally went to this little BYOB with a 6 pack of beer for dinner this past Saturday, and everything we ordered, from the paneer pakora, to the onion bhuji, to the prawn korma and the lamb curry, were WAAAY above our expectations. We are extatic because weve been miss the authentic food in Jackson Heights (in Queens NY) since moving to Montco, but no more! We will be coming back for more. For those who have been discouraged by the previous reviews, I would encourage you to judge for yourself! Yum!

Reading the reviews below, I realized the name/Management has changed after a number of these reviews have been written. This place is now an authentic Hyderabadi place. So happy that an authentic Hyderabadi place is in the area, but a bit bummed since it is about 30 mins from where I live. Anyhow, the chicken biryani here is mind blowing as are all the other items I have tasted(Chilli Fish, Apollo fish, Chicken 65). The friends I went with were in love with the Mutton Biryani. If you are a Hyderabadi food lover, go here - you will not be disappointed! The decor is still in the process of being updated when I last went there.

usually buffet is ok. Yesterday I took my friends for dinner . Paneer 65 and chicken 65 was not cooked properly. it was half raw. hospitality was not great. never seen good hospitality in Indian restaurants at all here in US. my friends said that briyani was ok and i ordered Dum ka murgh was also not cooked properly the QUALITY OF FOOD is going down. my friend has got stomach upset now. seems what was left over, they re-cooked it somehow. It was not fresh it seems. I would not go there at all and I would not recommend ganyone going there. Seems the good reviews below is from the owner of the restaurant only.

This Chef/owner is a Cheat. We went in during lunch time and decided to order goat biryani rather than have the buffet. We got the biryani and when I started to put on my plate, I realized that he had put goat curry at the bottom with the veg biryani on top from the buffet. When I asked the chef/owner how come there was visible gravy in the biryani plate, he said thats how he makes it. People who arent used to Indian food can be fooled. He could have told us that was no biryani and we would have ordered something else or had the buffet. But he is a compete cheat and fraud and dishonest. Avoid this place.

One of our favorite restaurants. The owner and her staff are exceptional. Both friendly and timely service are trademarks. Do you like excellent food with a wonferful selection along with an owner that remembers you and is always willing to share friendly conversation? Then this is the place for you. We used to live about ten minutes away, but now that we have moved about 40 minutes away and it still more than worth the trip. Delicious food and terrific atmosphere=full belly and return trips. Highly recommend.

Great tasting food, quick service, very clean and new. This is the third set of owners in the last few years. The new owners are great with a different indian food. More spices and less cream sauces make this more healthy, its a more northern indian cuisine. I found it amazing. The one downfall was we were overcharged for our dinners by $1.00 a meal. They did forget to charge me $10.00 for a basket of bread....so i was ahead and said nothing. I cant wait to eat there again.

Ive eaten at Greater India 15 times or so. The restaurant has apparently been sold and the quality of the food and service has deteriorated significantly. Originally I rated this restaurant 4 out of 5. With additional experience with Indian cuisine I think a 3 would have been more appropriate. There is no doubt that a 1 out of 5 is fair based on my last few visits - I was holding out hope for a while there. The last visits was one of the worst dining experiences Ive had.

It can be delicious, but only sometimes. The goat biriyani has nothing but fat and skin on all the meat, you find no meat on the bones. Dosas are good sometimes. Shrimp biriyani is okay, but they just take what ever biriyani is there and put shrimp on top minus the meat from the other biriyani. I got biriyani take out one time and they mixed old biriyani with new and I could tell some of the biriyani was bad and some was not, gross.

Buffet is excellent. Goat biryani and goat curry along with many chicken and veggie offerings. They change the menu so that you are never bored coming back often. Aman in Chalfont no longer serves goat curry in their buffet because they say it is too expensive. Dinners are same tasty high quality! Everything tastes very fresh. If you love spice try the shrimp vindaloo. Its not on the menu but they will serve it if you ask.
