Ive worked downtown for over 10 years, long enough to see this spot in the tunnel change concept 3 or 4 times. But this iteration as "Deli Deluxe" has lasted by far the longest, and theres a reason. A quirky little spot, they offer a daily selection of traditional American comfort food plates, plus made-to-order sandwiches, salads and wraps. Its the classic Indian fare made and served here that keeps bringing me back. For Indian food options in Downtown Houston, Deli Deluxe is consistently my favorite. Their tikka masala is one of the best Ive had, is always on the menu, and is offered in chicken and paneer varieties (theyll make it as spicy as you like!). Dum biryani in vegetable and chicken options are also available. From time to time, they also have a very good rogan josh. Other Indian food selections include saag paneer, chana masala, chole bhature, vada pav, and delicious samosas. Dependable, quality Indian food, great prices, and gracious hospitality.

The quality and texts of the breakfast and lunch is only outdone by the people who work here. They will customize the good to your liking. As stated in other reviews the Indian food choices are consistently the best in downtown and in both meat and vegetables options. The standard plates and specials are great as well. You will always get a great value for your money. Stop by and get some Chai Masala tea at any time of day and seeing by after lunch for a tasty snack. You cannot go wrong with anything offered here.

More than deli deluxe, this place is known with Manishbhais place... The best place you can ever have authentic Indian taste... You can pretty much order anything expecting high quality and authenticity... What else you expect when your food is served with ever smiling and friendly staff... I love this place...

Good food, most of the items are halal, I guess Turkey is not. Make sure to ask before you buy. Manish (the owner) is very pleasant and friendly personality and will guide you to what you want to eat today.
