Popped in for an impromptu night out for dinner. First impression - awesome ambiance. It was about 8pm on a Friday night and the wait was about 1 hour for 2 people. We opted to sit at the outside patio bar and grab some drinks while we waited. There is an ocean view from the restaurant and really nice to take in while its still light outside. For drinks we ordered the: ABREOJOS MARGARITA and a Modelo draft. The cocktails ranged between $9-$16/drink in price. A little steep for HB, but you are paying for ambiance and quality as well. The bartenders are friendly, attentive and dont leave you wandering while you try and wait for a drink, major plus!! Once we sat down for dinner, we immediately went straight to ordering our food. We started with an order of the sauteed corn. It was essentially the elote corn, off the cob. Mind blowing and absolutely amazing. Highly recommend ordering it. Main entrees, we ordered the CHILE RELLENO tacos, SALMON AGAVE taco and BLACKENED SHRIMP taco. The food comes a la cart and you would need to order sides with your taco should you choose that route. We also ordered a side of the serrano pepper puree de papas - which was essentially spicy mashed potatoes. The Chile Relleno tacos were good and with some spoonfuls of sauteed corn added it took it to a new level. Salmon taco blew me away. One of the best salmon Ive had in a long time and definitely a new favorite. The shrimp taco was disappointing and eating that after the salmon taco just made it even more sad compared to the other tacos. The mashed potatoes were okay. Nothing amazing about them. I was hoping they were roasted fiery potatoes (chunks) or something, but clearly my Spanish translation failed me. Parking - there is a parking garage for Pacific City that offer 2 hours free with validation. Overall, great vibe, limited vegetarian menu for those non-carnivores, and some of the best corn elote and salmon tacos - hands down.

Their chips have a little bit of air in them and the perfect crunch. The child and lime on them adds a nice flavor. The nachos were the best nachos Ive had. The filet mignon on them was the right size cuts and cooked perfectly. The menu had a lot of unique items. I had the chile rieno taco. Its flavor was awesome. The chile that was used was high quality and had a good amount of cheese in it. I also had the blackened shrimp tacos. The pomegranate seeds gave it a unique crunch and burst of freshness. In the fish burrito the sauce was what made it amazing. Its a little pricier but you can easily split meals because of portion size.

The tortilla chips are one of the best Ive had, they are thin and very crispy...really delicious and different but the best thing I have ever tasted is the jalapeño margarita!! I do not drink margaritas... ever but watching them put hand crushed watermelon and jalapeños together with a dark salt on the rim made me want to try one! It was amazing! I am still thinking about them. Id like to try it virgin style since Im not a regular drinker. I wasnt even wanting Mexican food tonight but just thinking about those jalapeño margaritas makes me want to come back. Try one!

Pricey, upsale Mexican food in a hip and fun atmosphere. Great outdoor patio for sunset views over Huntington beach across the street. Theyre known for their margaritas $10-$13. The Abareojos Margarita Cucumber and Jalapeno was delicious but way tooo spicy for me (Im not much of a spicy person), but I know alot of folks would love its kick. Food included $7 for a taco, which we passed on. A bit too pricey for my taste for a view. The tortilla chips were surprisingly pretty good -- hot and hardy.

Loved it! The view is amazing! We found the service to be very good. There were 6 in our party and the waiter was awesome! I wish I could remember his name! The food as will was great. Most of us had Filets or Ribeye, cooked perfect. The Watermelon/jalapeños Margaritas were yummy! This was our first time there and we will definitely be back. I did not find it overpriced. With a view and ambiance like they have you should expect to pay a little more than some of the regular places on Main St.

I almost didnt come here because there were higher rated places around but I accidentally walked in thinking it was a different restaurant then left to find the restaurant I was going to with a 4.5star rating. I ended up leaving the other place and coming back here. What a great place, I definitely didnt make a mistake coming back. Food was amazing, beer was good, service was good, view is great! 10star place!!!!!! Wish I lived here so I could be a regular.

If youre going to get dinner on a weekend be ready to wait 1 hour + to be seated. The food is chef quality, so it is very good. Some things on the menu are not expensive, but if youre going to have a dinner experience be ready to spend $$$. I asked the runner to bring us more chips and salsa, and although he said yes, we never got them. Im giving it 4 stars because customer service needs to improve, and the wait to be seated is unreasonable.

So disappointed....my wife had cheese enchiladas, they were the size of taquitos stuffed with cheese and drowned in some tasteless red sauce......no sides. My friend had two tacos, one with albacore and the other with short rib. He took one bite out of the short rib and got a mouth full of fat. Service was slow, it took over 1 hour to get our food. Might try one more time just to see if they get it together.

We had visited this restaurant a few months ago. Im not sure if service has improved since then but back in February the service was pretty bad. An extremely long wait to the point where our food came out cold. The managers excuse was, "sometimes that happens unfortunately." What? I was dumbfounded by his response. Havent been back since that first time a few months ago, no plans to visit it again.

ハンティントン滞在中、カリフォルニアに住む友人との夕食で訪問。日本人にしてみると、あくまでジャンクなメキシカンフードの中ではという前提つきではありますが、その中では比較的しっかりとしていて、食事がきちんとできる感じです。

Had brunch here today. The jalepeno Margarita is amazing. We all shared most of the brunch menu. The carnitas, chorizo, and shrimp tacos were all fantastic. For dessert we got the ice cream and churros filled with dulce de Leche. O. M. G. Get it. The view is also amazing. Lastly, the service was great. The manager talked to us for a bit. The waiter was attentive and very nice.

I finally tried this place for my Aunts birthday. The food here is really good! I had the elote and the surf and turf tacos (lobster and filet mignon). Both things had the perfect amount of flavor. Ambiance is great, amazing ocean view and friendly staff. Dont expect food to be all that traditional but if your expecting more of a new school interpretation of mexican food its great.

Great atmosphere, great food, great service and as a bonus beautiful views. We had the best tortilla soup and carnitas ever. Everything is made fresh at the premises including the free salsa and chips. We couldnt stop eating them. The drinks were great and generous. We lived in Huntington Beach for 21 years and this will be our new favorite restaurant.
