My wife and I took our two daughters there to celebrate Jessicas 16th birthday with fine dinning experience. As advertised Chef Michael De Lone and the Bistro Romanos staff knocked it out of the park. If I recall, we had 3 people attending to our table, coupled by a few visits from the manager who kept asking if there was anything else they could do for us. The ambiance was very nice, quiet and comfortable, The wine selection is second to none, as if you need to go any further than the Montepulciano. The antipasto consisted of generous portions of the "real deal" aged meats, imported cheeses and those olives which compliment the wine and help to get your palate ready for what is in queue. The girls went with their favorites the Gnocchi and homemade pasta dishes, have you ever had them anywhere else and they tasted this good? so lite, in just the right fusion based sauce. I always look forward to ordering something that I wouldnt order just anywhere, so I went with the special which was a complex veal dish, I also like to opt for a side of their fresh pasta. I am still talking about that meal and our experience at this wonderful restaurant. I hope that dish becomes a seasonal regular along with many of the inspired specials that chef Michael features. Look out!.. here come the deserts and a round of house made lemon-cellos. Forgetaboutit, we recommend trying all of them, especially the Tiramisu, or Crème Brule. After dinner you can gather upstairs at their unique bar and enjoy an after dinner cordial. Cant wait to go back! Five star dinning @ Two star pricing.

We went to Bistro Romano after reading several reviews good and bad but still decided to go there for the Murder Mystery Dinner. The actors we all amateurs and did not remember their lines, were overdoing certain acts when ever they forgot their lines. The show wasnt good at all, but then again this isnt exactly a Broadway show. The food quality sucked, had no taste and no where close to being authentic Italian as the name suggests (Bistro Romano), the bread was stale. We left in after the third course which we didnt even finish. Service quality was poor, The food was absolutely horrible. The vegetables tasted like they were burnt and reheated multiple times. The pasta dishes were undercooked. I respect the actors trying to make a living, but I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Although the ambiance was nice but I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there for food or the mystery dinner show which absolutely sucked., for drinks maybe. Totally disorganized place with a bunch of confused amateurs running it. Maybe its time for them to get a new chef and a professional manager to run the place.

Well, i never even made the reservation. The girl who was taking my reservation was rude, and seemed irritated that i was interrupting her. I was going to make a reservation for my mothers 60th b-day party and there was 7 of us. She said i had to pay up front for everyone...i told her thats like hundreds of dollars and that my other family would be called separately, but we needed it to be the same table. She said no, i could not reserve a table for 7 unless i paid it all my self. Finally i decided to just do it when right away she asked me for my address. I said i dont want to give that out. She told me that i had to give her my address or i could not make the reservation! Why on earth do you need my address? I have never heard of such a thing before! The girl seemed happy that she had just "beaten" me. I told her that i wanted to speak to a manager, she said she was the manager. I hung up and now were going somewhere else. I will make sure to tell everyone i know how rude and arrogant they are.

One word.. OVERRATED!!!! Hubby and I went for Valentines day because the reviews sounded like a beautiful piano bar with an amazing ambiance and food. We came early, sat the bar and the pianist was on break! We got called to our table - where originally we were debating about the private wine cellar room. Thank god we didnt. Wouldve been the biggest waste of $15. We came here originally to here the piano player...once we were seated (at the bottom of the steps - couldnt hear the pianist playing at all) - cant imagine what the wine cellar table heard. Disappointing. We went with what everyone recommended - "the award winning cesear salad" it was good but nothing special. Try something different. Then had fried calamari - good too but had better and small portion. Then we split the gnocchi. Different but ok. Over all, prices fair, service very good but wouldnt come back, esp bc no matter where you sat you could not hear the piano player. Not the romantic ambiance I was looking for. Crazy loud.

My husband and our son dined at Bistro Romano for my Husbands birthday. A nice young girl led us to our table, and we were immediately taken care of by the staff. We had a nice bottle of red wine, and the calamari appetizer, which was delicious. The entrees were even better, my tuna was perfect, my sons veal was delicious, and my husbands steak was to die for. We all split a canoli for dessert, I thought it could have been a little better, but everyone else enjoyed it. Overall, our experince at Bistro Romano was excellent, the dining room was beautiful, especially the large mural above the steps. The manager, a nice man in his early thirties?, came to our table and asked how every was. Our server was a nice blonde girl whose name I cant remember, and a nice young man named Neal?, something with an N, made sure we had everything we needed and even told us the history of the building. 4.5 out of 5 (if I could pick a 4.5) , we will be back again

First review, Second visit. Well worth the 5 stars on this second time around. The first visit I made with my girlfriend and she gave it a rating of 3 stars on Yelp. Based on previous reviews and the fact she made reservations for my birthday, they didnt quite meet her standards. However on this visit, they absolutely knocked the ball out of the park. I observed the General Manager Anthony, and noticed that he attended to all guests with the same care and attention to detail that he gave us. Also our server Alex showed his knowledge in the menu and his explanations were clear and concise as to what one could expect in the dishes. The ambiance of the place is perfect for romance, the food portions are quite suitable to the average dinner appetite and drinks are made very well. In short, I would do the service an injustice if I tried to put it in words, therefore I suggest you visit and enjoy. Sincerely, Soon To Return

My girlfriend surprised me with this restaurant a couple years ago and everything was amazing. Since then i come back a few times each year. The bartender Ralphie, made me a cocktail that was so creative that it haunted my taste buds for the rest of the night. He sold me on this wonderful establishment just by his charisma. This time around, sad to hear that my favorite bartender is no longer there. And to learn why leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Thought i would still have a great evening but unfortunately it was an average dining experience at best. I dont think the "chef" or "cook" i might add knows what a medium rare steak is. And the creativity was lacking this time around. Service was great as always but the food and drinks are most important to me. Maybe ill give this restaurant another shot but for a person that has dined here multiple times ... This restaurant is not what it used to be.
