Wow. Wow. Wow. I expected good, but did not expect great. This place is great. The food was amazing and truly delicious in color, savor and presentation. My wife and I went on a little lunch date. We started with a garlic bread appetizer--soft pillowy home-made italian bread with butter and garlic, toasted in a brick oven. For entree, I had the little brick-oven personal pizza and salad special, $8.50. Plenty to eat without being overwhelmed. The Greek salad was full-size with a wonderful array of flavors. The pizza was the puttanesca with a house sauce (i.e., sauce made fresh). My wife had the salmon salad--a beautiful arrangement of FRESH (really, like out of the garden) spring greens, onion, olive, tomato and pickled artichoke. Truly beautiful. And get this: the salmon was grilled to perfection, not too dry, and WARM sitting on a COOL salad. I could swear the greens were picked fresh today. We ended with a chocolate fudge pie with amaretto ice cream. Super-wonderful! Through all this, the waiter was excellent: all the food timed just right, arriving at the correct moment. Could not have asked for more. Like I said: WOW!

Very nice environment, friendly staff and delicious food! My fiance and I stopped by to check out the menu before deciding to host our rehearsal dinner there. When we had mentioned why we were there, the waitress was more than happy to help and very knowledgeable about which menu items were typically on the private event menus. We tried the spaghetti with meat sauce (she told me it was not in the event menu but I just wanted to try it), penne alla Campioni, and chicken romano (THE BEST!). The food overall was very good. The spaghetti with meat sauce was pretty good, both my fiance and I liked it. The penne alla Campioni, unfortunately tasted very cheesy/greasy. We decided we did not want this menu item for the rehearsal dinner. The best was chicken romano! At first we werent sure what it was but it just tasted so delicious! Then when we asked the waitress, we were told it was the lemon butter. The sauce complemented the chicken so well! After eating, one of the staff member was very nice and showed us the private room area and answered all our questions :) We are excited that we will be having our rehearsal dinner at Campioni!

While this place has a nice atmosphere and good service, my food was horrible. Caveat--I lived in New York City for a decade. Then I lived in Chicago for two decades. I *know* what authentic Italian food is supposed to be. This tasted like high school cafeteria "Italian food." First I ordered lasagne. It turned out to be 60% marinara sauce that was too sweet and was loaded with chunks of tomatoes (which I hate), 30% cheese, and 10% pasta and meat. So it was really a plate of chunky awful tomato sauce. I sent it back and opted for what I thought would be safe spaghetti and meatballs with meat sauce instead of marinara. Again-- high school cafeteria quality. Too salty, too much tomato chunks, not good. I didnt eat it. Then they charged me for the item on our bill. I even showed this review to the manager up to this sentence, and he smiled and said, "Sorry," but didnt offer to take off the item from the bill. Avoid. Texans wake up! This is not Italian food!

Hey man, I gotta vouche for this place. The person who only rated a 2? I just have to say, the pizza is NOT store bought. Trust me, I use to work there and I always have to see the cooks make it from scratch. Its straight from dough. Angel takes care of it and what he does is pound the dough down to its perfect size and cut the excess dough, puts whatever toppings you want, and puts it in the pizza oven so no, not store bought at all. Drinks are free too, we never charged you for the teas. Drinks other than tea and water, yes we charge, but you get free refills. You can get 5 different refills and they will never charge you extra. I havent worked here in over a year cause I had to move away for school, but boy do I miss this place... I never work at a place I hate, especially when it comes to working for food. If I work for food, I better like it, and honestly this place was the longest Ive ever worked because they were so good.

We must have come on a bad night. The bad experiences literally began with the drinks. My wife ordered a dirty Martini that literally only vodka. Then our appetizers came out and the fried cheese was cold. Then her manicotti came out and the cheese essential melted and it was cold in spots. My pork tenderloin was raw and I had it sent back. It came out better but lacked flavor. The green beans I cook at home in a microwaveable bag are better than what they served us. Even with all the complaints no discounts were given. Never coming back. Edit: we complained to a manager and they comped the entire meal, drinks and all! Will will give them one more chance.

Campioni is one of our familys favorite restaurants and definitely our favorite Italian place to eat in Houston. We have driven 45 mins one way for over 15 years to enjoy their food. It is definitely a place the family goes for a birthday or an informal anniversary because the food is that good. As a family who enjoys cooking and appreciates a wonderful home cooked meal, we really love that everything tastes fresh-- the sauces, veggies, salad, desserts and homemade bread. Heads and shoulders above so many other places to dine, especially Italian restaurants in the NW part of Houston!

Went to this restaurant a couple weeks ago and just now getting to review. Decent Italian food, good service and a nice atmosphere. I had a veal dish and wasnt too impressed but the rest of the familys food was great. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. The owner is a nice fella, desert was good also. We will go again.....but will go earlier to avoid the 45 min wait! This spot was hoppin, and my kiddos were restless, the property that the restaurant sits on is nice so it provided nice walking space while waiting.

All I have to say is the Google rating for this restaraunt is very inaccurate. Definitley not a 4.7 Service was good. Food not so much. Best thing was the appetizer, which was shrimp; other than that I wasnt very impressed. My entree of salmon was okay, the artichoke was the best thing on the plate. My wife ordered the linguini (sea food platter) and came with very little shrimp/lobster meat on top. Honestly, this place is overpriced for what you get. Service isnt bad though. Inaccurate Google ratings.

I ordered my food and unfortunately had to leave due to a family emergency and wasnt able to sit and enjoy my food there. By the time I was able to eat the food I ordered I was in my car driving and the food was cold but I ate it cold due to not being able to warm it up and the food was absolutely delicious even when it was cold. I cant wait to go back and try the food when freshly cooked Im sure itll be phenomenal.
