I’ll start with a summary…I won’t be coming here again. I had never tried this place until this last Sunday; it had fairly good reviews on here and was open until 10 so we decided to try it. My girl and I got here at 9pm. There was a live sax player which was cool. The décor was a little strange, it looked like it had not been updated in years. We were greeted by what appeared to be either the owner or manager who simply pointed us to a table across the restaurant. We sat ourselves and were greeted by a waitress who was just nice enough but didn’t seem to care to be there. We were served some bread while we enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. The bread was obviously store bought French bread which they threw in the toaster oven a little too long and was simply buttered and seasoned with some garlic. No olive oil or anything provided as you would expect from an Italian restaurant, I did ask for some which they gave and made the bread a little better tasting. The menu itself is even lackluster, it appeared old like they haven’t changed it in years and was foreshadowing our meal to come. So, we order our food, she got the fancy Spaghetti (can’t remember the name) and I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with shrimp. She seemed to enjoy her Spaghetti, though they could have done a better job at cutting the bell peppers they added to the plate. I tried it and the sauce was semi sweet and the meat balls were mediocre. My alfredo was lackluster…the alfredo sauce was watery pooling at the bottom of my plate. The shrimp was also not very good, not quite cooked right and tasted a little funky. I couldn’t finish my alfredo, about half was left. It was a fairly large portion of noodles, but didn’t even bother taking it home. She took the rest of her spaghetti home. We sat waiting for a good little while watching our waitress sitting at the bar with her back to us playing on her cell phone. I finally got up to ask her for out check. This whole time we were there the manager / owner was just sitting at the bar not helping his staff or doing anything really helpful. The kick in the teeth that really turns me off to this place is they serve mediocre food at fine dining prices. Both meals were about the same price at about 15.00 each…I could go to a Macaroni Grill and get a much better cooked meal at these prices. I honestly felt like I might see Gordon Ramsey come through the door and be on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I’m giving two stars instead of one, simply because they had a live musician and the spaghetti was ok.

I said “OMG” three times after I tasted the “Prima Pasta with Grilled Chicken” for lunch today. My company ordered lunch for our today’s meeting from Prima Pasta Restaurant for the first time, and I can bravely say that this was the best of the best Italian Food that I’ve had in my life! I wasn’t the only one saying this and all my colleagues agreed and enjoyed the delicious Veggie Lasagna, Rainbow Salad, and Prima Pasta with Grilled Chicken. Now, let me tell you about the Dessert! They catered Homemade Tres Letches and Assorted New York Cheesecake that was out of this WORLD! I ended up leaking my plate after I had a piece of the Tres Letches, and still wanted to have more. Our company and all the employees were so impressed and happy with the service, quality, and quantity of the food that Prima Pasta Restaurant catered to us today and we all definitely will order food for our future events and take our family and friends to this restaurant to find out about the real taste of Italian Food in Houston:)

I love this place so much! Especially if you dine-in, the ambiance feels like youre in Italy. I highly recommend the Pasta Prima. Ive dined in and ordered thru UBEREATS 4 times now and every time I see the same thing with the food so I know its not just a one-time isolated error. I hope management sees this review because there are just a few things that would make this place great!: -The bread is either low quality, frozen, or just old. -Fettuccini Di Lelio (photo) - the alfredo sauce is inconsistent: sometimes dry, not enough sauce (on todays order it was perfect!) -Shrimp Scampi (photo) - should have a white sauce, not a clear garlic herb sauce. Dont get me wrong, it was delicious! But many people will be disappointed if theyre looking for that traditional scampi flavor. -Please include cutlery in the take-out bag.

Prima Pasta is a very enjoyable spot. The management is genuinely interested in providing an enjoyable customer experience and is receptive to feedback on everything from wine selection, to ambiance and food, to service, ... anything. After their remodel, I find myself returning with some frequency for the absolutely addictive chicken marsala. I also love their thick tomato sauce, which looks a lot like some of the homemade spaghetti sauces Ive made in the past, so I know its not simply bottle-dispensed. The meatballs are one of my favorites as well. They have a great, hearty chicken and vegetable soup for anyone looking for a non-pasta dish. If you find room for desert, I highly recommend the Tiramisu. Its made by the chef at the restaurant and the hint of irish cream complements the flavor very nicely.

Im shocked this restaurant exists. We took our mother in law here when she was visiting from out of town and I was totally embarrassed by the food. To sum up our experience: 1) The entire meal tasted like defrosted frozen food 2) The house salad was lettuce and tomatoes covered in, what tasted like, Kraft Italian Dressing 3) The eggplant parm was beyond slimy, I honestly could not eat more than one bite, it was inedible. 4) The pizza tasted like frozen Totinos pizza 5) You can get much higher quality food for the same price at Carrabas or Grotto. Our entire party left the restaurant hungry and had to head on over to Chocolate Bar to help forget about our horrible experience.

Absolutely phenomenal! Their cheesecake was the best cheesecake I have ever eaten, and Ive eaten alot of cheesecake. The pizza was so delicious! The meat balls literally melt in your mouth. My friend and I loved it. We were so happy afterwards and the atmosphere is amazing! It is so beautiful and sweet and outside they have a running waterfall. The sound is so comforting. Its really an amazing restaurant and honestly, my new favorite! Plus, it has similar prices to olive garden but the food is ×10 better! Bravissimo!!! I highly recommend! Bonus: The service is so sweet and kind! They are super nice!

The place is so nice and cozy, bread is amazing, staff is kind and accommodating. They talk yo you as if youre family. The food is sooo good. Everything is nicely proportioned. Its a little pricey but its definitely worth it! Good for dates, birthdays, family occasions, etc. Every evening they have local musicians play and you can even sit outside. Its beautifully decorated. (Definitely a picture place).

Worst experience I have had at a resturant. The waiters are nice but the food is quite bland. The cost does not match the value. If you send your food back, be prepared to get charged for part of the food. I sent a bland seafood pasta dish back and was still charged $7 for the scallops that automatically came in the dish. Not the shrimp, chicken, and other items...just 2 out of the 4 scallops.
