I went to Antonios because I read somewhere that they had the best pizza in Houston. Being from another country where pizza is taken seriously, I went there to check it. What a disappointment. White, basic pizzas get added bland ingredients for $1.75. Thats it. No creativity, nothing outstanding, just basic plain cheese pizza with basic ingredients that you add yourself. With Houston being one of the top 3 competitive dining cities in the US, it is really hard to believe this place is still open. Certainly the business owns the real estate, otherwise it wouldnt be there. Prices are not attractive, I gather they were good one day (decades ago) and still sit on the memories of when competition was less stiff. Today you go to any California Pizza Kitchen (a chain!!!!!) and get better service and way better pizza. I prefer to support locally owned businesses, believe me, but this place will not see me as a patron until they put their thinking hats and revive the menu and the ingredients. I scratched my head when I order a panini and what appeared to be an old Mrs. Bairds hotdog bun (white as an angel) came with the eggplant thrown in the open. True Italian? Whoever wrote it in the reviews down below must not have been in Italy, or in any other countries where Italian immigration was big (Brazil, Argentina, etc).

Hello I went for Dinner with a group of friends The Asian Lady in the front made us wait 10 mins to sit us down but also after coming back to attend us looked at my friends and Said my friends Couldnt come in due to there dress code. I believe my TRANSGENDER friends was dress appropriate due to the fact that she was born a male she said she couldnt be wearing female clothing i believe this was a total act of discrimination i asked to speak to a manager and asked to see where the dress code was visible they told me " if they would post dress codes and rules of what they can allow in there restaurant it would look trashy" Said the owner ANTONIO i believe his actions from him and his staff where beyond hateful and rude and simply ignorant I ENCOURAGE GAYS /TRANSGENDER LESBIAN TO NEVER WALK INTO THAT RESTAURANT

Antonios is a fantastic restaurant. Ever since I was born, my family has been taking me here. At least one of my family members comes here once a week, and we will keep coming back as long as we live in Houston! The food is overall excellent, and the pizza is my all time favorite pizza in the world! A fantastic restaurant for familys. The employees there love the place, and most have been working there for a while. The pizza chef, or pizzaiolo (googled name for pizza chef), has been working there for way longer than I have been alive, and it will be a sad day when that man stops making his delicious pizzas. Definitely give it a go. Dont go looking for the nicest Italian experience/ambiance. Go for great pizza, and great italian food in general.

I was disappointed. I went here for the first (and last) time for my birthday. I chose it because I wanted to watch them throw pizza. They would not accept reservations. I had a party of 12 and was worried, so I got there early. Luckily, the restaurant was nearly empty. Strangely, it still took the hostess 30 minutes to seat us. The service was terrible. The waitress took 30 minutes to get our drinks. They did not throw the pizza dough, even though we requested it (and we were basically the only people there). She got the order mixed up. The pizza took an hour to get to the table. The pizza was good, but not worth the bad service.

I have been going to Antonios since it opened. My sister and I were some of the children the pizza chefs would entertain by flying the pizza across the pizza cooking area. I have been pleased to be able to take my own child there since she decided she liked pizza. One of her favorite come in from college is to come to Antonios. We feel that this is the best pizza in town, and we are grateful to live so close to the restaurant. The service is excellent, and most of the wait staff has been there since my daughter was little. If you have a want pizza that is Italian pizza when we cannot be in Italy, go to Antonios.

I dont know why I passed by this wonderful restaurant for so many years till my wife told me that she had heard a review on a sports radio show. One of the guys said that every time he comes to Houston that Antonios was one his most favorite restaurants in town and praised its food and pizza. We tried it and now it is one of our most favorite place to eat. Price is very reasonable. Service is friendly. We have eaten several of their menu items and they are soooo good! You wont believe you "ate the whole thing." Tonight we are going to celebrate my wifes 70th birthday with family. I can hardly wait!

I dont live in Houston, but whenever I visit, I make it a priority to come here for the best pizza on Earth. This is the home of authentic pizza. I have had pizza in Europe, including in the birthplace of pizza itself, Napoli, ITA. And I must say that this pizza can go toe-to-toe with what I have had in Italy. Its so good, it makes me want to move to Houston. The staff have always been respectful to me, so its surprising to read some reviews on here that suggest the contrary. Maybe youre just a naturally unpleasant customer? Fly high...fly with Antonio!

Ive been eating Antonios Flying Pizza even before I was born! When I was still in my moms tummy, she constantly craved pizza, even though she had never had pizza before. The only pizza that could satisfy her cravings was Antonios pizza. So when I was finally born, I was already conditioned to love their pizza lol! Thirty years later, Antonios still has the same great quality as it did before! To maintain that kind of quality for such a long period of time is an impressive feat. Try their classic pepperoni pizza, you wont regret it! :)

My wife and I have eaten here many, many times over the decades. The relatively thin pizzas are quite tasty if not as good as a Chicago style deep dish. Service is good and people are friendly. Interior has recently been upgraded. Oddly, the main thing that keeps me coming back are the wonderful dinner salads. Really the best, freshest combination of goodies combined with fresh rolls really kick off the meal. A bit pricey for pizza, but we keep coming back.

Antonios is one of the best pizza places in Houston by far and because of this you should be prepared to wait if you are going on the weekend. This place usually has a wait. You should also be aware that, like other reviews here, the service is not very good when they are busy. They usually only have 2 maybe 3 guys working all of the tables. If you are there for good food and not worried about service go to Antonios, you wont find a better pie for miles
