So I got to your location at 7:37pm on 6/24. I ate my first plate of food. Which consisted of. Mandarin chicken, Baked fish, Teriyaki Sirloin, spring rolls (3) biscuit (2) and some fried shrimp (not butterfly shrimp) oh and spinach dip/sauce. This 1st plate was excellent no problems what so ever. Now for my 2nd plate (and my final after what happened and soured my stomach) I got prime rib, a big piece of bbq chicken breast, butterfly shrimp (2) and a slice of Pepperoni and a slice of cheese pizza. I ate the pizza slices first because I was craving it the first time and none was available. Well when I cut into my piece of chicken, the outer layer looked perfect. Exactly what I expect from chicken. As I got deeper into the chicken it looked kinda slimy and felt rubbery. Also by the bone there was some pink spots. OK so red flag. I called our waiter over. A good kid named Carlos. Explained to him that I felt the piece of chicken was not cooked. He took it away and I forgot to tell him I didnt want another piece. My stomach felt off and I no longer desired food. Heck I didnt even want to get dessert. When Carlos came back he told me the cook told him that is was fat in the center. Really fat all along the interior of the chicken breast? Now granted I should have called the manager over at that time but I didnt want to make a scene, or it feel like a scene. Plus I wasnt going to interrupt the other customers around me. I felt I would speak to the manager on my way out. Which I did. Now I did not get his name but I introduced myself. I told him what occurred and he replied "well nobody brought it to my attention" now I was not asking for a refund, just that he be made aware of this "fatty center piece of chicken" to be honest even the manager kinda felt it strange about fat in the center. He proceeded to ask for my receipt. Which at no point did I ever mention wanting a refund. He said because I was there longer than 30 minutes he couldnt give a refund. But that he would speak to the cooks. I asked him to call Carlos my waiter over so he could tell who he took the chicken too. He did not and it felt like the night manager didnt take me seriously. But again as I stated I did not request a refund, the manager asked to see my receipt. Now I do find it funny that with Golden Corral having an amazing variety of foods. That if something wasnt wrong in 30 minutes or less. Oh well youre out of luck buddy. I left with a sour stomach and STILL hungry. I wanted to have dessert, just not after that piece of fatty chicken. My friend that was with me even said it did not look like fat and that it looked uncooked. I am upset because food safety should be a top priority in any restaurant.

Of all the three times Ive given this restaraunt a chance, Ive been disappointed. The worst one was the last time Ive gone there. My first plate was fine, I had a couple slices of pizza and other pre-prossessed food which is very hard to mess up. I asked the chef, who grills and hands out sirloin/steak (whatever it is at the time), to give me a well-done piece. The chef nods, slices off a piece, slices into it to check if its well-done, and hands me the piece. I go over to my table and cut into the steak and see that its not even medium-rare. In fact it was so undercooked that I might as well have run up to a cow and bite it. There was still blood inside of the meat. After that, Ive noticed that my $16 or so went to waste. I should have called over my waiter and complain but I was too shy to make a scene, instead I gave that chef a second chance and asked for another well-done piece of steak. What do you know? Another uncooked piece of steak, and this one had more blood than the previous one. After that, I just went with dessert and left. I didnt cause a scene or tell anybody about my aweful experience (aside from my friend who was sitting with me and agreed that the food quality was terrible that day). Anyway, if you decide to go to Golden Corral, know what to expect. Note: Ive had very good experiences with Logans Road House in Harlingen. Great quality food, great service, and youll probably need a box to-go all for the same price range (possibly a little more expensive depending on what you order) as Golden Corral.

Buffet is messy, many of the salad choices are empty. Generally its a mess! There are plenty of staff, they dont seem to care enough. The restrooms are tiny for such a large restaurant and they were dirty with piles of used toilet tissue overflowing from the Trash. All in all, its not a healthy place to eat at. I ate here a few.momtjs ago and found similar conditions...Best bet is to go eat somewhere else.

This score is for the waiter named Carlos first time visit to our new Golden corral here in Harlingen food was good but I just have to express our experience with Carlos who was not even our waiter very tentative fast quick this guy was helping everyone never have I experience a waiter who took performance in his job thank you Carlos great job God bless you

The food is good but I had an extremely bad experience with one of the servers very rude he got angry at my fiance for trying to serve herself ham because nobody was around when I went to talk to him instead of apologizing or trying to explain he just argued with me everyone else was nice but that one server ruined what could have been a great experience

Best thing today was the water. There was no bacon. Thats right a breakfast buffet with no bacon. And I was informed that lunch starts at 10 am. So they started replacing breakfast with lunch items.. I will be annoyed next week when I arrive at 10 for lunch and breakfast is still being served because we all know lunch doesnt start at 10.

Horrible customer service skills. From the cashier in the front to the cooks. They are horrible!!!!! This isnt just on one occasion but multiple. But this will for sure be my last time. The only good thing about this place was our table Attendent Raquel she was very attentive and polite everyone else was horrible!

This place looks a lot nicer and is cleaner after recent renovations. You get fantastic value with a big selection of good quality food. The bakery is probably the best sectipn! My family often likes to come here, and its nice that we can all get different types of food that we want all at the same place.
