My family and I decided to give Black Walnut Cafe a try tonight. Some breakfast options are served all day, and then theres a mix of sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, and pasta, as well as a stocked bar, and a nice wine selection. The atmosphere is like a modern, casual take on a British club featuring open seating (i.e. you seat yourself) with booths, tables, and cozy pairs of chairs that could be great for a drink with a friend. Theres also areas that can be reserved for larger parties. Each of our meals were superb. The staff was friendly, and we really appreciated the care they took with the allergies of one.of our party. We heard the staff several times checking to make sure the problematic food item wasnt in the dish. ♡♡♡

Ive now been here 3 times in hopes that my other experiences were just a fluke but I keep getting sub-par food and service. I have never written a restaurant review...so that should tell you a lot. This place doesnt seem to have an identity. Most places have the "item" that makes them unique...this place is just a mish mash of all foods. Ive always kind of been wondered about places that have so many varieties on the menu. If youre too busy trying to figure out an Asian dish then how can you make a good burger? Anyway, so far what I have enjoyed was their chicken and waffles and thats hard to mess up...

Excellent dining experience. We will definitely be back. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious, turkey burger was good (but not my husbands favorite) and the pot roast grilled cheese was so yummy and a wonderful take on a classic. It was also my birthday today and the manager brought me a very large slice of their chocolate cake on the house for our family to share. It was the perfect end to a great meal! There are four very different spaces you can choose to sit in - coffee shop style right when you walk in, fine dining, more casual dining and then outdoor. It was pretty neat!

Friendly Bartenders are always a highlight of the visit. Some dishes are great like the fish tacos; others are disappointing. The roast beef dish on a previous visit included a roast that was OK but the gravy and veggies were not. The veggies were hard and not flavorful. The gravy was just not flavorful. At a later visit the Chicken strips had a good ratio of breading but too much Rosemary. Please read the reviews and trust the bartender regarding what to order as all dishes here are not equally tasty.

Nice upscale fast casual cafe. Has different sections for different dining experiences. It has a bar in the center where you can drink or sit in one of the booths nearby or tables in another section. Felt a bit expensive for a fast casual cafe, but the food was quite good. Had few vegetarian options, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the taste. Good experience having lunch here, but not in my list of regular places to eat since it is a bit too expensive for my budget.

I like the food and the atmosphere of this restaurant a lot. I find, however, that if I take an order to go that I must insist that we go over it in detail before I leave the building. There are often mistakes. Today I was in a hurry and I didnt check the order: they neglected to include my blueberry muffin and the salad dressing given to me was wrong. Sigh. Although I knew better, I wish the café would DO better. +I just found another error of the order mentioned above. :(

I was at Black Walnut today for a business brunch. This was my second visit. This place is absolutely lovely! Charming atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. The french roast coffee is excellent. My first visit was for a business dinner, and the baked potato soup was sooo good - yummy! This is a gem of a restaurant waiting to be found. I cant wait to visit at my leisure. I highly recommend it.

Excellent venue to sit down enjoy a good meal or coffee in a quiet atmosphere. Perfect seating, relaxed, yet very clean and upscale but not expensive. Great to go and sit down there to read, study, do some work, or to go and watch a game or a good conversation. Their wifi is available also to the clientele and it is fast too. Definitively recommended...

Black Walnut Cafe (BWC) is a great place! The staff are all very friendly and the food was good! I loved the chicken and waffles (pictured), but the house potatoes were small and very mediocre. The place is self seating and also has a bar with seating. Overall its a great place!

Went for breakfast and it was amazing! Very friendly staff and bartenders. Also the best mimosa Ive had in a very long time. I got the omelette and it was very very good. Overall great vibe to the place and would strongly recommend going there for their breakfast.

Fairly new place. Give it a try especially the dessert and gelato bar. Even have vegan sugar free gelato. Menu is quite good. Atmosphere is inviting and plenty of covered outdoor seating overlooking the mosquito free pond. We will be back for sure.

We were first time visitors. This is a great place. The service was great. Tip: Order at the counter and seat yourself. We had one small hiccup and the management handled it immediately. We will be back!

Self seating seems a little confusing for first timers. Lines can be pretty slow for Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict good. Fried chicken and waffles kind of bland, but still popular there.
