I felt as though when it took 15 minutes to seat us with how empty it was, we probably should have left then. I had 3 adults and 7 children. Worst customer service ever. I called to verify the kids eat free promotion and was told it is still going. After were rung up they said its only on Tuesdays. We definitely wouldnt have gone if that was told to us when I called. Were calling corporate. So, the manager.....was not even remotely doing his job. Our food was literally sitting on the service counter for 15 minutes. One adult asked for medium steak tips and eggs...her hash browns and steak were burnt. It took about an extra 20 minutes to replace the hash browns by that time most of us were done. The person who ordered the steak ended up going to get steak sauce off another table. It took 20 minutes for another adult to get a side of gravy for his chicken fried steak. The kids ordered a confetti pancake with sides of mixed fruit....the plates were delivered without it and they came about 15 minutes after when we asked where it was. While we were there a set of people left the lobby after waiting 20 minutes to be seated. This whole time the manager is slowly walking around and doing things like cleaning off a table...for 10 minutes at a time. Another couple, some elders, kept asking if someone would check them out after their meal. They walked out after 15 minutes of asking. We just looked at the receipt and they charged us for an extra kids meal. The manager didnt even want to talk to us. Im sure he knew how unacceptable this whole visit was. If I could give 1/4 a star...I would. We didnt even have silverware on our table at all until we asked for some. Our food should have been free, really. Ive worked as a waitress, hostess, food service manager, and a line cook so I have an idea of what should have taken place. This was the worst experience Ive ever had at an IHOP. Dont go to this location unless youd like to waste time and money. We could have ordered a couple pizzas from a gas station and been more satisfied. Thats how bad the customer service was.

My family and I arrived Friday, May 12 around 9:00pm plenty of tables open, no line and most of the other customers appeared to already have their food. It took a little bit to get seated but almost 20 min to get a waiter. My Daughter ordered a french vanilla coffee...they brought her coffee in a carafe rather than a mug w/whipped cream. I ordered regular coffee...30-40 min for our food to come up in the window(I could see our order) the waiters told VICTOR the cook that the compote was supposed to be on the side for my pancakes, he loudly informed them NO...some arguing and cajoling took place to get him to remake PANCAKES of all things. Meanwhile the rest of our order sat cooling in the window. 20 min later VICTOR finally put our CORRECT order of pancakes in the window (after loudly explaining how sh*tty I was to dare order the way I did) THEN the waiters brought our food. It was very clear from our vantage in the restaurant looking into the open kitchen that the cooks had a very very bad attitude. Slamming plates, complaining about doing their jobs and basically holding the entire place hostage to their whims. Management did NOTHING about it. I asked the girl who rang me out what the extra loud and nasty cooks name was, she almost wouldnt say. VICTOR, it is very inappropriate to talk about customers the way you did, to act like a tiny tyrant with wait staff, to slam food around in full view of the public in childish tantrums! How and why did management let it get to this level and VICTOR not be let go or sent home?!

We dined at Il Forno off of the strength of its TripAdvisor rating (#7 restaurant in Barcelona), and while it was tasty, I would say that its definitely not someplace that you need to make an effort to try. Nice if youre nearby and just want a quick bite. Il Forno is a little cafe near La Segrada Familia. Its bright and well lit, and the service is extremely friendly, You can choose from a number of pre-made pizzas (they will re-heat a slice for you), and they also had a lasagna option. No salad was available when we went at dinner. There are also a wide variety of pastries. I actually liked the pizza - I think the crust was focaccia bread, and it wasnt overly heavy. But as noted above, they dont make the pizza to order for you - its just reheated slices. Pastries all have a very nice presentation, and on the whole were good. The prices were quite reasonable. I think most folks would enjoy eating here, but it isnt something particularly memorable about Barcelona.

Id like to say this was the worst restaurant experience of my life, however I didnt even make it that far. We came in, waited several minutes until someone finally came and seated us. We sat and patiently waited for a server (there was about 6 of them standing in a circle socializing). After 10 minutes of waiting we got up and left. I went back in to complain to a manager, the guy who seated us said he was the manager. I explained to him what happened and he seemed so confused and didnt even remember seating us just 10 minutes prior. Wont be going back there again. I dont know if they treat other customers like this, but I dont see that specific restaurant doing very well with such awful employees.

My family and I ate breakfast there about week ago. The service was exceptional and the food was great! However the two cashiers working that day put a bad taste in my mouth and really ruined our experience. The women who cashed us out was rude and gave us attitude when we asked our large check to be split on to two separate cards. She acted as if this was an inconvenience to her. The cashier next to her shouted, "I can take the next person! Then said a little quieter, "As I kill myself." I also work in the food industry and I know that it is not an easy job. However there is a certain level of professionalism you must keep. If you hate your job, dont take it out on the customers.

The hostess: idiot, we sat waiting for our name to be taken down for 8 minutes and then sat there waiting while about 8 tables were clean. (We are a party of 2) . The Manager: idiot, while the front desk was obviously drowning, he helped with serving even though there were approximately 9 waiters on staff. You are supposed to manage the whole place not just one big party of people. Thank God for our waitress who started sitting people because she realized there were so many open tables and like 20 people waiting to be seated and was very sorry for the wait. Server (Nicole) didnt write down our order, recited it back incorrectly, I corrected her, when our food arrived it was wrong. Hmmmm maybe she should write things down? She blamed my son (8 yrs old) saying he ordered the wrong thing. Then she said it was because she was so busy because they started the day with a 40 top. I also observed her take another servers tip off his table and count it before giving it to him. I dont think its any of her business how much of a tip was left for another server. Despite our service being less than desirable the food was great as always.
