90 reviews 5.0 star rating 4/28/2016 Quite honestly I dont want to tell you just how good this place is! I really want to keep it all to myself. However, I live way up in Fort Worth and really want to move Bella Italia closer to me!!! This may have been my only visit to Ennis but I will truly savor the experience. I went with a friend who lives in Ennis. He assured me that ANYTHING on the menu would be good. Well, I didnt have room for everything on the menu but saw the Chicken Aristocrat. The ingredients looked yummy. Well, "Yummy" became an understatement. The dish was chicken breast topped with roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese with tomato basil cream sauce over pasta. Ive truly never had a better Italian mean.... EVER. Then, as if that isnt good enough, they bring you endless baskets of wonderful garlic bread that is piping hot just meant to sop up the tantalizing cream sauce left on your plate. The service was spot-on and we never went with an empty drink glass or an empty bread basket. The restaurant is certainly nothing to look at twice. The decor is dated but the food far outweighs this minor cosmetic appeal.

Do not waste your time or your money and do not risk your stomach. This place has lousy service, average at best food, and a dark, dusty atmosphere that makes you seriously consider the cleanliness of the kitchen and the food preparation areas. Our server was a complete nincompoop, bringing us the wrong drinks, and then when I question questioned about it she had no idea what I was even talking about. She was only waiting on three tables, but we could not get any service, including refills. I ordered chicken piccata which was okay and that is being generous, my sister ordered the sampler plate which actually was a little bit more appetizing. Speaking of appetizers, they dont serve anything fresh or interesting to you while you are waiting for your food. Do not waste your time or money on this dirty little place.

The service was quick and courteous! The food (Ravioli Portobello/house salad) was tasty and at the appropriate temperature. The sauce was thick and creamy. The Italian music and ambient lighting set the proper tone for a relaxing meal. I would definitely eat here again and recommend this place to others.

The food here is pretty good, and the atmosphere is a little higher class than say a Chiles. It is attached to a bar as well. I dont drink alcohol often, so I cant comment on their wine selection. They have a coupon system and Ill stop in when I get a text for 20% off from time to time.

Delicious for an amazing price. Better Italian food than any chain restaurant like Olive Garden. They also have a very broad selection and having eating there many times I can tell you personally that you cant go wrong with just about anything on the menu. 5 star place

The best homemade Italian food in town. I recommend you try something different each time you go. You wont be disappointed. The owners are very down to earth. The staff is professional, and the bartender (Kim) in the bar area is awesome. 2 thumbs up
