We are repeat visitors and we bring friends and family here who can appreciate the BBQ experience and we dont bring anyone who is not worthy. Jang Soo is our favorite Korean restaurant in all of SF for sure, but probably all of CA as well. Top quality BBQ marinaded meats, delectable side dishes, hand crafted soy bean pastes and sauces (they make it themselves!!!), Very attentive and kind service, very chill spot. They dont over marinade meats here like many other (most) Korean places, so happy to finally taste the top quality of the meat we ordered instead of a sweet and salty mess. Tastes just like the best BBQ spots in Korea. Let the quality meat be the star of the show! We always order the Dae Ji (spicy pork), Kal Bi (Beef short rib), Dak (chicken breast), Jap Chea (noodle), spicy seafood (cant remember the name of it..) These are the staples. Ive recently been branching out into their other stuff too, but its hard to order because everything on the menu looks so good. Just tried the Den Jang Chi Ge (mildly spicy miso stew with lots of goodies). Was awesome, cant wait to keep coming back to try everything else.

Standard but good Korean food. It was a Sunday when we went but the waitress was nice and let us order off the weekday lunch menu anyway. Excellent banchan--had the standards like fish cake and bean sprouts and kimchee, but also had ones I had never seen before (maybe its just because Im not Korean) like these little pancake looking things that came with that soy sauce/sesame/green onion sauce. They also had seaweed topped with spicy sauce--simple, but tasty. They also served seaweed soup, but was extra good thanks to bits of meat in the soup. Kalbi was pretty good. Nice portions, unusually sweeter than most kalbi Ive had, but still tasty. Came with that sweet cold rice stuff at the end. All in all a fulfilling meal.

We went there for my nephews graduation party party for eight. This was our 3rd time here and each time service and food gets worser and worser. We ordered 3 order of samgyeopsal 2 order of bulgoki and rice for eight also some sodas. When all arrived there were only one plate of samgyeopsal and bolgoki and actually both meats were in one plate, even worse there were only 5 leaves of letuce. The side dishes such as kimchi and other vegies were not filled up it is usually filled up when they are finished but the waiters vere just standing around doing nothing and not too many customers in the restaurant. Not a good place to eat and not worth the money.

Went here with a group of 12 around 7:30pm on a week night. Street parking was surprisingly easy; I found a spot right away. The service was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and very efficient, especially for the size of our group; and trust me, we were loud and obnoxious. The food was also great! I highly recommend the kalbi and the makgeolli (Korean rice wine). We basically tried nearly every thing on the menu. I could find no fault with any of them. (Though perhaps the intestines were too adventurous for me...) Will definitely come here again if Im craving Korean BBQ!

we ordered BBQ, yookjejang, doinjangjige, we were served a BBQ, within 2 min after placing our order, cooked well-done in a hot plate and the BBQ was just lukewarm. I cant think of the way they could serve well-done bbq cooked from raw meat within 2 minutes. atmosphere is just like other low-to-medium priced asian restaurant, but the price was very high here. service was so and so. the other 2 two foods were not so good - just average or lower. not recommended.

went here as an alternative to brothers and pleasantly surprised. their meat was excellent, got the galbi and spicy pork. side dishes were pretty good. staff was super friendly although got a little busy as the restaurant filled up. definitely recommend over brothers. also its a newer place so decor is clean and nice.

Quite authentic. Just like the BBQ Ive had in Korea. Many side plates, all fresh. Order the marinated beef ribs. They are the best, and yes, cook the meats at the table. The service was attentive and friendly. Ill be going back. It is a bit pricey but its about the same that I paid in Korea.

The only thing keeping it from 5 stars, is that I am always freezing cold there, even when I sit in the back. The last time I was there, we were all wearing our coats even though we were sitting in the back.

This place reopened with new owners about 2 weeks ago. All the ingredients are very fresh and organic. All the food was very flavorfull. This is my new favorite Korean restaurant.

The food is great but so is the price. The only thing I got that I would avoid like the plague here in the future is the dukbokki. The rice cake is just way too soft for my taste.

I was here with my friends, we all ordered meat for BBQ. Meat plate is small, I think it will be enough only for one person but price is not cheap.

Delicious and fun! The makkoli comes by the bucket! The service is terrible -- terrible! -- but I think that is a requirement for Korean BBQs.
