When you walk into the restaurant, you immediately notice that everything is brown, like youre in a pizza box. Michael Buble and Frank Sinatra constantly played on the sound system, and on the walls are cheap prints reminiscent of New York and Italy that were probably bought at the Tuesday Morning three shops down. The menu probably hasnt been changed since the place was opened and its a dumpster fire. There are about thirty different dishes, all with some combination of chicken or shrimp, pasta, and red or white sauce. There are descriptions of the dishes but theyre almost ridiculously similar. Even their prices are the same. Each dish comes with a house salad that is the epitome of every terrible Italian restaurant salad: a handful of romaine drowning in dressing (I asked for Cesar, but it almost tasted like ranch), a sprinkling of red lettuce and black olives (because salads should be salty, said no one ever), and a single peperoncino on top. I felt like I was in a satire. Id say that Italian Villa is almost ironically bad, but theyve been around for 30 years and people like coming here because its closer than Olive Garden. I dont remember much of what my entree was, because on my first bite I found a black shard of plastic (possibly from a spatula). If you want to eat out, there are are three Thai restaurants nearby that are so much better than this place.,

My family and I (9 month old, 3 and 6 yr old kids that were hungry) to try this place yesterday for dinner because of all the great reviews. We went around 5 pm and there was only one other table thee besides us. We waited 3 min and 49 seconds with out being greeted or even telling us " We will be with you in just a moment." There were 3 servers there and all were standing in the server area doing nothing. They all looked at us multiple times but didnt saw anything to us. There was a lady that came in with her grand daughter after us and got seated, drink order and bread on their table while we sat with nothing. When we decided to leave 2 server stood there and stared us at us walk out with out saying yet again. I here the food is wonderful but being in customer service for many year and a manager at a restaurant i feel that it is not just the food that has to be good. I am understanding if i see a place is swamped and running around but when the place is almost empty and there are 3 servers on staff with nothing to do I feel there is no excuse not to greet someone or at least let them know you will be right with them within 45 sec (IF THAT)

Received the worst customer service today. Ordered my pizza to go and just one pizza. Received the two topping pizza and it was made with the incorrect meat. The very unfriendly female worker named Bicky who never smiled and called herself "kind of a manager" told me that it was rang up wrong and that I would just have to wait for them to correct it or receive a refund. No apology was ever given and I considered this very poor customer service. A simple apology would have been fine but was not given. I will never return and will spread the word to friends, neighbors, etc. Need to hire more friendly staff and all staff including the owner need a lesson or class on customer service. Too many other places to eat here in Allen.

My family and I have been dining with this establishment for over 17 years, mostly take out. We always order the same items. I always order Chicken Parmesan. It has always been a huge, thick, juicy chicken breast, perfectly breaded and awesome...., UNTIL TONIGHT!!! I actually had to call them back and ask to please make another order for me because my chicken was burnt. Cameron was very polite, re-ordered the dish and I drove back- came home opened the entree and not only do I have a charred piece of chicken but its paper thin. Bottom line- Im pissed! So, do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money at Napolis, Joes Italian or Roman Cucina before you spend a dime at the Italian Villa!

I ordered from the place because I am on bed rest and needed something like delivered. Reviews seemed good and worth a try. To be honest, its just ok. Not terrible but not great. My favorite was the bread!! And the speed of their delivery! I ordered the favored chicken Alfredo and something was very different about it. The chicken was very very plane and sauce was almost more sweet than cheesy. I also got mozzarella sticks and they were nothing special. Ill try them again sometime but Ill order something different for sure. I may just end up going to this place for the bread!!

Water from the tap. Tea was stale, chicken parmagiana was tough. The sauce on the chicken and spaghetti was straight from a jar of prego. The chicken artichoke dish tasted like cafeteria food. The artichokes had to come from a can. The bread was OK I guess. It tasted old, but it was edible compared to everything else. Ill never go back there again. I should give 1 star to slightly lower this ridiculous 4.5 star average that you guys have given them. Cmon, people. Im giving 2 stars because they were very nice. I hope they step their game up a lot.

My credit card was charged for someone elses meal. I was instructed to wait 3-5 business days for MY FUNDS to be placed back to my account. My girls and I eat at this establishment all the time. Stephanie, the manager, apologized multiple times for the error. As a patron of this establishment, I was expecting the owner, who was on the phone with Stephanie giving her the merchant information, to at least offer up a pizza. He did not do anything! It was like my hard earned money did not matter at all. Extremely disappointed!

Went here on a TangoTab dining deal I got on my celly. Had never been here before. The staff (Rae) was great and the food is TOPS for a red-checkered tablecloth restaurant - a trattoria not a ristorante, capisce? Think wicker bottomed chianti bottles (which they do not do either! - this is not a cheesy place at all!). This is a great family place with really good pizza also. Since we Tango Tab got us in there, we have been back 5 times in 3 weeks. Really good italian fare in Allen!

Havent been here in a few years, and was craving some good seafood pasta so thought wed give it a try. Started with calamari, texture was off. Ate their lingini with shrimp & mussels for entree and unfortunately the seafood was all over cooked. They definitely have their strong suits (pizza & chicken marsala from other reviews) but theyre not quite experts in the seafood category!

I went to the Italian Villa for lunch and had the Chicken Marsala. It was delicious! I will definitely go there again. Im going to try dinner next time and BYOB bring my own wine. The staff was courteous and friendly. I also found out they have a Banquet room that seats up to 50 people! I am going to reserve it for my church group for our next get together.
