MoMos on Forest Lane is always a delightful experience. Now that they have moved to the location that has adequate parking, you can actually access this great Italian restaurant. Too many times in the past we were wanting to dine there, but there was simply not one single parking spot available. In Texas, if you are in retail, and especially if you own a restaurant, either you offer adequate parking or you live a hand-to-mouth existence regardless of the quality of your offerings or how hard you work. Friends and relatives from out of town always demand to eat at Momos during visits to Dallas, they are that good. While they are not on the menu, if you ask for the mushroom appetizers, you will love them. They only offer them when mushrooms of the exceptionally high quality the chef demands are available, so frequently they are simply not available As MoMos does NOT have a liquor license, you get to bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. While we might order a drink with dinner only a third of time eating out, due to the cost, we always enjoy wine with dinner at MoMos. We who live in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas are plagued by the absence of near-by healthy, sit-down family restaurants. Unless we eat at MoMos, we face at least a twenty minute drive to a favorite healthy restaurant, then another twenty minute drive to get home. This is not a good use of time. So we campaign for more healthy, sit-down dining family restaurants to open in the underserved Lake Highlands area. In the meantime we enjoy those not-on-the-menu mushrooms at Momos, where you now can find a parking space. We have dined at MoMos over fifty times. Not one single time have we ever had a bad experience.

I thought I was a loyal customer of Momo since I kept coming back and bringing my friends over. But my mind is changed from last experience at Momo. I had dinner with three friends and stayed to talk a bit after dinner. Just before we were leaving (a friend went to restroom), the manager came over and asked us to leave (politely) and told us he has another reservation. It wasnt a big deal. If the manager didnt come, we would have left in 1 minute any way. It was true that it made me feel a bit uncomfortable when I saw there were another 5 free tables (same size) and no other customers waiting. I talked to the manager that I felt a bit uncomfortable. The manager said that they give each table around 1h30mins. I looked at my watch and we stayed for 1h39mins. We had to leave basically its not because of another reservation but 9 mins over his "rule". The experience made me to think a loyal customer doesnt mean much to Momo and it is more important that their rigid "rule" can be carried out. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my friends. If you would go, dont forget to set up an alarm before you sit down.

Word travels fast in Dallas, especially when it comes to various local cuisines. I had heard so many great things about MoMos that I decided I must try it out for myself, and it was just a spectacular as I had been told. The first thing you notice with any restaurant is the natural feel of the establishment. The atmosphere is perfect for an evening out with someone special or the entire family. Its intimate ambiance is enhanced by the cozy fireplaces and warm feel. And the service? Impeccable. Our waiter was prompt and attentive without being bothersome. After trying a few different dishes (mine and my friends!), I think my favorite has to be the gnocchi in the creamy cheese sauce with ham! Also, the tiramisu is to die for!!! All in all, MoMos is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming and unperturbed setting.

The prices were very steep for the quality and quantity of food that was received. They were calling the sausage that was in the lasagna a mild italian sausage when in fact it tasted like a cheap breakfast sausage. The red sauce that was served on the calzone tasted like soap and the soft drinks were in cans ... they do not even have fountain service. Should have known that something was wrong when we walked in the door and there was ABSOLUTELY no one in the place!!! Oh last thing, the "bread" was just pizza crust OVER COOKED and with TOO MUCH ROSEMARY in it! Seriously, ROSEMARY BURNT PIZZA CRUST is garlic bread??? The nicest person in the place was the guy who brought us our water ... I mean who do they think they are ... Iron Chef America? Will never go back!

Try the Santaloro with angel hair noodles, the Quattro Formagio Pizza, Capalli DAngelo Alla Momo , and Shuisha (probably spelling wrong). We LOVE this place and have followed the owners/chef from the "other MoMos" in the metroplex. We have gone to this MoMos and the old preston center one for over 10 years. It is not the same as the Belt Line/Knox Henderson Momos....there is NO comparison. We love it and love the family atmosphere that it projects. We love that the owners care enough to know us. Thank you Darwin for the fabulous food and wonderful memories!

Went for lunch. Server was so friendly and attentive. Started with Bresaola, never had it before but thought it was tasty. We both had lunch specials as the prices were high otherwise. I had the linguine with clam sauce and bf had Tagliatelle con Pancetta. Both dishes were good, pasta was cooked al dente. Maybe because we ordered cheap, the flavor just didnt blow us away. Atmosphere was nice. Im not against going again and ordering something more daring, hopefully finding something worth going back for.

My husband and I go there every year for anniversary celebrations and we always have the best experience. Staff never disappointed us and food is always delicious. We try different dishes every time and take friends and family from out of town because it is such a worthy experience. Portion size is not on the big side so you are definitely paying for quality not quantity but the pesto and bread they offer is very good. The BYOB is definitely a plus. Keep up the good work!

Momos has a classy atmosphere, great wait staff, and authentic Italian kitchen cuisine that is melt in your mouth delicious! My husband and I have been going there for years and even after we moved an hour outside of the area, we still come back as often as possible for date night and the black cherry gelato! Every dish we have had there, you can tell is freshly made and worth the price! Dont let the neighborhood and outside curb appeal fool you this place is a hidden gem!

This is THE place in Dallas to come with friends and share a bottle (or more) of wine from your cellar. The food is excellent and well-described (the menu is extensive). The atmosphere is quiet and cozy (with opera playing in the background). Perfect for a date night. If you haven’t been here it’s a MUST if you are looking for a BYOB. Be careful to go to the original Momo’s (on Forest and Greenville). Others in town are not BYOB.

Ive been to central and northern Italy and this iconic Dallas establishment reminds me of Italy more than any restaurant in Dallas. The food is fresh Italian food. If youre looking for a Caesar salad go to Olive Garden. This is the real thing. Good food, good and knowledgeable staff ( Fernando is the best) and BYOB. Cant ask for more. Love this place.
