This looks like a nice place to eat, and I have been curious to try it out for some time. I came in with my girlfriend at lunchtime on a weekend and clarified from the beginning that there was a gluten intolerance. I had previously looked at the dinner menu online and found plenty of options that looked to be gluten-free. The weekend brunch menu was different though, and more limited. No problem, my girlfriend just asked if she could substitute the pasta with a salad. The waiter replied with an annoyed, "I guess." As it turned out, the chicken dish she decided on was not gluten-free, but he did make some changes to it, and we appreciated that. That was about the only bright spot in the service. Our food was great! Both our entrees had tasty sauces over chicken. They brought out some bread for me that was also very good, (although I would have liked some butter, and I didnt want to further inconvenience them to bring some out. There were two other guests in the restaurant. ) The staff couldnt wait for us to get out of there, and neither could we. Our waiter asked me, "are you done with that?" when I was clearly in the middle of my entree. If that wasnt enough, the staff stared at my girlfriend most of the time and made her feel very uncomfortable. I tipped well for the huge favor of substituting salad for pasta, and modifying an entree.

Went on a Friday evening with a group. Im quite sure I havent spent so much on just myself in a long time! Was it worth it? Well... The chicken florentine was absolutely delicious. The breasts did contain a fair amount of gristle, yet the meat that was there was yum. The appetizer sausage and red wine (pinot grigio) were good. But.... some drawbacks. As explained to our group leader by the hotel that booked the dinner, each of us could have a dessert with an entree, but come to find out, it was one dessert per table -- imagine 8 adults sharing a slice of cheesecake and taramisu. Then what really annoyed me was that even though my entree came with a SIDE of pasta, I couldnt substitute it with a simple salad. And it was a SIDE, not even under the chicken! This seems highly wasteful as no one wanted more pasta (so they had to toss it) and a few more pieces of lettuce/spinach a tomato...just doesnt seem like such a dramatic thing. In light of this inexplicable un-accommodating attitude, I do not think the service warranted the $4.50 tip I was forced to fork over.

Im upset I have to give this place even 1 star...yes, food was good...but service was lackluster. We figured our server was maybe having a bad night & were as cheerful as we could be with each encounter & tipped him well to hopefully make up for a bad night. BUT THE WORST - Just as we were leaving, I realized I had left my iphone on table (had been checking Cowboys score). We quickly went back inside to retrieve the phone, but the table had already been cleared, & guess what?? NO ONE had seen my phone. Yeah, right. It was late Sat. evening & we were the only customers left in the restaurant! With the short time that had elapsed, & only staff in the building, doesnt take much of stretch of imagination to figure out what happened. Owner was not helpful at all in helping us find phone, & in fact, got VERY upset with me when I suggested I would need to file a police report for the missing item. He even refused to give he his full name or a business card!! What kind of person does that?? Owner is a condescending a$$!! Stay far away!!!!

Solid choice for Italian Downtown. There are so many choices DT for Italian and Ravenna will not let you down. Dress up and sit at a cozy table or dress down and sit at the bar. Not the cheapest but probably the best value for your dollar. Everything is made to order, fresh and hot. My favorite is the pork chop, but their chicken parmigian is amazing as well. Great pizzas as well get the Ravenna special add chicken and extra basalmic. Enjoy! say hi to owner Milan hes almost always there.

BOTTOM LINE- Pizza is okay, Horrible Service. The server was very rude, throwing the plates around the table and not answering our questions because he was "busy". They took 2 hours to bring 2 pizzas out. The other servers were not helpful and acted as though they were going us a favor by bringing us food. Never going back to Ravennas!. BEWARE IF YOU ARE GOING WITH A BIG PARTY- (8 or more)- They cannot handle big crowds as they are understaffed and have a poor attitude. Pizza is okay.

My husband, 3 young kids and I were strolling through downtown when we wanted to grab a bite to eat. I opened the door and thought oh no, I wasnt planning on a fancy dinner. But the staff immediately welcomed us in, with our messy hair and all (sorry), and were ever so friendly to accommodate our children. Food was delicious, best customer service Ive ever received, and we had a relaxing time overall. Next time its definitely one of the spots Id join for lunch with the girlfriends :)

Nice, cozy little Italian restaurant. The ambiance reminded me of traditional old-school Italian joints, the kind you see in old movies. The atmosphere lends itself to both casual drinks/dinner and more intimate or romantic dining. Really good food and wine - the calamari was cooked perfectly. The service was very good too; our waiter was very courteous and professional. Most definitely would visit again.

In the middle of my Dallas city tour, I stopped by this place for a cup of coffee on Christmas day. The outdoor sitting is pretty and gives a good view of the main street. I ended up ordering a slice of pizza later and was really impressed by the taste, prompt and fast service, courteous staff and of course the location. To top it, a cup of coffee and one slice of a 14 pizza costed me just 8 bucks.

One of my favorite Italian places in Dallas, hit it for lunch at least a couple of times a month. Lunch is priced cheaper than dinner and nearly the same food! Lemon Sole is my go to and they had a special that was crab stuffed pasta with a white sauce baked with pecans and mushroom - Awesome! Owner also comes around and a great guy, always have a great lunch.

An absolutely superb dining experience. They very much impressed me with the attentiveness of their wait staff, the lovely ambiance, the jazz playing over the stereo, and the food was incredible! The bar is well stocked and my drinks were a perfect mix as well. Over all one of the most enjoyable, relaxed lunches Ive ever had. I highly recommend trying this place!

Dirty Martini was watered down, sauce tasted like it was canned. My girlfriend had the eggplant rollitini and a blueberry pomagranete martini. Both were good. Bartender had no clue how to make a long island iced tea so he gave her a larger martini. Bread tasted like pillsbury. Wish I read previous reviews before stopping in.
