Visited for the first time last night. Liked the overall look but once inside it was incredibly smokey almost to the point of unable to see the TV at the bar where we waited to be seated. The hostess was not friendly, she seemed put off by a server which was obvious by her facial expressions. In addition, the room just behind the hostess stand appeared to be the servers "hang out", there were about 7 of them in there laughing and slapping one another with a towel. Once we were seated We ordered steaks because of a review we read online. The steaks were very salty. Both my husband and I didnt finish either one. Our server, although nice, neglected to check on us and we ran out of tea and had to stop another server for refill (salty steak caused us to need more fluids) Considering the price and atmosphere we wouldnt suggest this place for steaks. Not sure if wed go back to try the Mexican food based on the immature wait staff and smokey room. Our clothes reeked of smoke when we left.

Visited a few weeks ago for the first time and returned the following week to a similarly great meal and exceptional service. Returning for our second visit, we requested to be seated with the same server from our first visit, Chris, as he had previously provided the best service we have ever received at any restaurant.....ever! Furthermore, ALL the food was delicious and the portions were generous (we ordered: poblana al carbon w/ chicken; veggie fajitas; Spanish style enchiladas w/ chicken; kids chicken strips). We were so pleased from our first visit, that not only did request the same server, we also ordered the same food. The atmosphere was very nice, tortillas are made fresh in-house and the chips and salsa were excellent too. Following our meals, plenty of "to go" containers were brought to the table with a large bag to carry it all. No complaints whatsoever!

Used to be a favorite but lately the quality of food has gone down. Still very tasty but they would do well to get their kitchen back in order and get food out when its hot. The last time we were there they had just got a new grill and none of the steaks were cooked as ordered. Management was excellent at fixing the problem but half our party had already finished eating before the others got their dinner. One thing always puzzled me which is that LaHa invented the margarita machine but the margaritas there arent anything special and taste very weak. Id recommend one of their top shelf margaritas although they are pricey (and not very strong) but they are flavorful.

As soon as I arrived at the restaurant I was looked at like Im some outcast by the front folks at counter. As I proceeded to be brought to my table I noticed that there were napkins, forks, knifes, and food under my table. This was no ordinary small mess/accident. Whoever was at the table before me deliberately threw things on the ground. So, I asked the waiter nicely to please get someone to remove the mess. She told me shed get somebody on it. I waited about 5-10 minutes and nobody came to clean up the mess. I proceeded to ask my waiter to leave and continued on to a clean, welcoming environment named the Cheesecake Factory.

Where to begin? The smokey flavored salsa? The chicken? The enchiladas? The queso? The ranch-style atmosphere? I could eat at La Hacienda Ranch every day and I dont think I would get tired of it. I have been to this particular location twice with a friend, and the experience was thoroughly enjoyable, as has been the case with any La Hacienda Ranch Ive ever visited. If youve never been there, you should definitely go. If you have gone, you know what I mean. Go there again. Youre lucky to live close to one.

Weve eaten here twice and while the service is excellent the food is just not that great, certainly not worth the asking price. My wife had the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp which were dry and over done. I had the Trevino combo. The shell for the tostada and taco were stale and the the enchiladas were just bleh. The margaritas were nice however and theyre heavy on the tequila. Several of our friends rave about this place but we dont see the appeal. Well just have taco night at home from here on.

Not quite sure what all the hoopla is all about. My wife and I had two mex. plates, two margaritas, 2 shots of tequila. Cost without tip was $120. Food was marginal at best and Im being kind. The margaritas were just OK. It took 10 minutes for the server to make it to our table, but service was fine after that. Ambiance was something like a Mexican themed Chucky Cheese, with a lot of screaming kids but without all the fun games. We wont be going back.

Pretty disappointed. $21 for beef fajitas. But I think it was really lime fajitas disguised as beef. Waaay over tenderized. Oh, and lime flavored guacamole. If you really like lime then this is your place. I think it was the only seasoning the used. Chips and salsa was good though. Service was not great. One refill on iced tea as the meal came out. Never saw him again til the check came.

Its been my favorite restaurant for about 12 years now. Its Tex-Mex with kind of a ranch twist on some of the sauces (i.e. great chili con carne on the enchiladas. 90% of the time I order the Whole Enchilada. Its been my go-to plate since I was 13. The fajitas are the main draw for most people. Great marinade and the shrimp are very fresh. 100% recommend this place

Excellent food and unique salsa that I enjoy. In the past 15 years of eating here I have only had one bad experience-not food related but wait staff issues and air conditioning issues. I still give them 5 stars because after I informed them online the owner immediately followed up, took ownership, and resolved issues we had which is more impressive than the food.

First time there and it was awesome! Salsa and queso were great. Fajitas were very tender and flavorful. Service was also great. Our waiter did a good job at welcoming us there for the first time. He even hooked us up with some to-go chips and salsa and drinks in their La Hacienda plastic cups. All in all it was a great experience and we will be going back.

We regularly visit the La Hacienda Ranch restaurants on Preston Rd in Dallas and on No Hwy 35E and last night, 06/28/08, was our FIRST visit to Colleyvilles. The food AND the service was fantastic, and the experience was most enjoyable. In our opinion, this may be No. ONE of the six facilities. We plan on returning regularly! Jerry H., Carrollton, TX

Service was beyond terrible. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks which sat unfilled for most of our stay. Once our drinks were received we waited another 10 to get our order put in. Only one serving of chips/salsa for a larger party (6). We wont go back. Food was okay, but not worth the price compared to the competition.
