It was Fathers Day and my wife cleverly, and covertly, sifted through my bookmarked restaurants to select a place for lunch. Los Jarros had good ratings and we all love one-off Tex-Mex joints so it seemed like an ideal spot. Looks can be deceiving admittedly, but walking up to the entrance we noticed lots of discarded trash strewn around like thered been a party the night before but folks hadnt cleaned up yet. Additionally, there was a drastic, and concerning, sewer smell coming from the back of the restaurant. Weve learned not to "judge a book by its cover" so in we went. Strike one; the restaurant was almost empty, but we waited nearly 15 minutes before someone even noticed us and took us to a table. Strike two; everything in the place appeared to have at least a decades worth (or two) of filth on it. We discovered the source of the sewer smell in the restrooms, which were far from clean. If the restroom, which I CAN see isnt clean, what lurks in the kitchen which I CANT see? Strike three; the food was bland and edible only. Stale chips, chunky tomato sauce for salsa and poorly seasoned lukewarm food were the final blow to our experience here. I do have to say that the service (at least at our table) was friendly and on point. I dont understand how a place like this gets such high ratings. Theres really too much competition in the metroplex to waste money here. Its the simple things that make a good restaurant; clean facility, friendly service, and good food at a reasonable price. This place fails on all three.

Lo lamento. No me gusta calificar una estrella. Pero si en algo puedo aportar una opinión constructiva entonces lo haré. Desde que entras ninguna de las mesetas te da la bienvenida. Y te ven ahí parado ya que uno espera que te indiquen donde sentarte. Pues nada. Se siente uno pésimo. Después el servicio a la mesa deja mucho que desear. Ni un "buenos dias, bienvenido, qué gusto tenerle aquí, mi nombres es xyz y con gusto voy a atenderle hoy..." Nada. Sólo... "Que va a tomar"... Te traen la comida y ningún... " disfrute su comida" nada. Parece que estuvieras pidiendo la comida fiada! No quedan ganas de regresar. La comida... Estilo comercial. Nada de sabor mexicano. Ojalá pudieran hacer algo al respecto. Ya que su ubicación es excelente para tener clientela cercas.

Lunch specials are great, CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT SO GREAT. If you want to place a order to go, half time you are better off going to location as opposed to ordering on phone because they do not answer the phone. Just keeps ringing and ringing. (You can take in consideration they are busy, however one day I notice they had no customers and staff was not very busy when i walked in and I was calling to see if they answer and they didnt. As a result I had to go in location to make my order and then wait there for 15 minutes for it. ) Double Check your order as well, because many times I have had my order wrong or missing something. Very inconsistent service , however the food is really good for the price. I hope management sees this review and takes action with their staff(p. I just called to make a complaint, and no manager is in, and I told them that my order was in correct and was basically told to call back in hour later. Poor customer service all around, have had same problems with dine in experience. Some of the staff that have been there years have been decent at doing their job, but the new staff not so much. I have dined in before and had to wave down a waiter to get a refill after waiting 10 minutes.

Worst place ever!.. who ever the owner is I cant believe they dont read the reviews . I have gave this place 3 tries all 3 were horrible. We walk in and get seated ..wait at least 15min for a waiter then 10 to get drinks after that we never see the waiter again never get chips and salsa before our food. When we get our food thats the last time we saw our waiter till we went up and paid..my coffee got cold never got anymore.. no napkins..no refills nothing!. I mean definitely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL.for a restaurant that little you shouldnt have to wait for them to wait on you or check in you..they have ruuned my morning everytime I go. The menudo is good I drive over from Mansfield but never again I refuse to give my money to someone that doesnt care for their customers.

Pesimo pesimo servicio! ! Las meseras no sirven! Les hablas y te ignorance, se hacen pelotas con poquita gente. Tiene uno q levantarse a traer lo q necesitas y ni esperanzas q te lleven lo q necesitas. Vi varias personas irse sin dejar propina x el mal servicio. Las comida? So so no vale la Pena ir a comer haciendo corajes y encima pagar. No regreso a ese mugrero.

Custower service was aweful.I dont speak Spanish so was totally ignored.The staff look over worked and I order tortilla soup to go which too exacty 28 min to receive.I actually had to ask them if soup was really?Had to get back to my pt.I get in my car and the large cup of soup was half way filled charge @ $4.56.I honesty could believe it!full of liquid and very few veggies.I looked in my box of chips and I there was a small amount of chips to put in soup.I request my money back and the young lady was totally apologetic.I told her there is to many Mexican restaurant around to be treated with such aweful service.

The place had great food but customer service is really bad. Also take forever to get your order and reason being is all the waitresses are more worried about what is going on behind the counter washing dishes or all of them want to be on the register at one time. Instead of assigning 1 cashier 1 dishwasher or some kind of order theyre all behind the counter and not checking on customers. It gets worse on the weekends. Theres plenty of waitresses to do the job but wont. Other than that the food is awesome. But if u have time to wait 20-30 or even 40 to an hour on weekends then this is the place

Where do i start? How about with our waitress taking our order and repeatedly having to turn her head away from us because of an uncontrollable cough. Asked for lemon with the tea.....never got it. Asked for ketchup for my kids tacos. Had to get up and go get ketchup. Never had a chip refill or anyone come check our table after order was put in. Next time we saw waitstaff was when food was brought out. And the womens restroom wreaked of urine. Glad i didnt go in the mens. Do your self a favor and take your business somewhere sanitary.

I read most of the reviews but had to try it. Well I was wrong. After wait to seat (1 person) for 15 minutes and there where 4 tables open and the waitress just keep looking at me and not seating anyone. Even the group of people behind me were saying something about it. Although the food smelled good I just left and to my money to another restaurant across to the street to TV taco. Was great food and way better staff. If I could give a big fat ZERO STAR I would. The manager really needs to talk to its staff.
