I reviewed this same place in September 2013...it was amazing. Tonight was a VERY different experience. We had reservations and still waited an hour. Once we were finally seated it took a while for our order to be taken. We ordered entrees and sushi. Our entrees cane out but no sushi. We asked and then we were told it was backed up so it would be another 30 minutes for our sushi. We had to flag down the waitress to get drinks refilled. After our sushi finally arrived it was delicious. We got our bill and we were charged for items we didnt order and then we were charged fees for changing our sushi order from grilled crawfish to fried. But we were not told of this charge when we ordered, but paid it anyway. We paid the bill in cash. The waitress never returned with my change. I had to ask her for it, she oh ok. A waitress should always return the cash and let the client decide if they want to leave it. Or if they are instructed to keep the change, which I did not. Dennis the manager knew about our experience and didnt seem to care. Too bad because needless to say we wont be returning.

The sushi is good but the quality, but not consistent. Example: The crunchy Tuna Roll comes out cooked vs. raw about 50/50. Even if you asked for the tuna to be served raw or rare, depending on the chef and the day of the week it comes out cooked. The one thing that Piranha is very consistent at is the terrible service. Tonight they had about 15 tables, and 2 waiters and 1 bartender. Our avocado roll came out as a cucumber roll and It literally took about 10 minutes to flag our waiter down (because the majority of his tables were outside) to get his attention that there was a problem with our order. I dont fault the waiter but i do fault the management for consistently understaffing the restaurant. After 2 years of being underwhelmed im officially writing this review to warn anyone else that is considering Piranha Sushi Flowermound.

We love the sushi at Piranha, but for the second time tonight (using door dash for delivery)we received no soy sauce with our order AND no chopsticks!! Husband called and the girl who answered the phone was obviously young and didnt know how to handle the situation and offer a solution; her suggestion was that we order soy sauce(something that is complimentary with our order) through door dash again, seriously? Pay for soy sauce, and another door dash delivery fee? Or we drive all the way to them to pick it up....no thanks, wont be ordering from them ever again. Perhaps triple checking your orders that go out for delivery to make sure you are getting everything your customer might need to actually eat the food, like chopsticks!

This is not the worst sushi I have ever eaten, but it definitely wasnt anything notable. The worst thing of all was the pre-made rolls sitting on pans that were not being refrigerated for the entirety of our time there, and who knows how long it had been out before! The employees/chefs failed to wash their hands, had a lack of hair restraints, and missing gloves. You would think if they have a sushi bar, they would keep it clean, but their personal drinks were just sitting there and the place was a mess. With the just average sushi, this place was a total turn-off. Tread carefully.

Had a great evening at Piranha Sushi! We all had different entrees/Rolls. I loved the taste of the Wasabi encrusted roll, the Tuna Tower, and the hibachi. The inside of the restaurant has an L.A./South Beach vibe and a cool outdoor patio. The patio bar opens to the a view of the inside. Frequently there is entertainment that also lends a cool vibe to chillout with friends to. I know my Real Estate Clients are looking forward to coming back. Fun evening!

My favorite place for sushi! The food is always delicious and the staff is great. Tonight a friend and I tried Omakase with Chef Nuke. Omakase is chefs choice, and WOW what an experience! Amazing selection of sashimi, some of my favorites and tried some new ones. Beautiful prepared, tender and delicious. The roll that followed was awesome! We finished with baby octopus kabobs! We will definitely try Omakase again for another culinary adventure!

The food was good. The service was terrible. Our table was ignored for at least a solid 10-12 minutes before we were greeted. We were ignored for most of dinner, but the food was good. Surely management could do something to fix this, but this is the second time I have had bad service at this particular restaurant. So, maybe try the Piranhas Killer Sushi in Arlington or Ft. Worth. Never been disappointed in those locations.

I had dinner here last night for the first time after hearing three good friends give it fantastic reviews - they were also regulars. Even after driving over from Dallas there was no disappointing! The food was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was 5 stars! I would recommend this to anyone interested in great sushi, sashimi, steak, live music or great drinks!

Horrible service. It took nearly 10 minutes for our waiter to greet us. Once our drinks and food was served, our waiter never asked us if we wanted more drinks, more water, if our food was satisfactory, nothing! He dropped the check off like he couldnt wait for us to leave. No thank you, no "have a good night". He just sat with his girlfriend at the bar. Never coming back!.

went here on a suggestion of a friend. VERY disappointed. Decor was nice, but the food not fresh and the shrimp tempura not completely cooked - the shrimp and the tempura. Had "live" band which was a guy playing guitar and so loud that was unable to talk with husband and then had difficulty in giving order because it was so loud. Not going back.

Stopped in for some hot sake and salmon sashimi, got that in excellent quality, and the sushi master surprised me with a complementary spicy salmon orderve of which i cant remember the name but it was a slice of salmon, thinly sliced jalapeno, dab of Asian hot sause and a thin slice of mango on top... Delish!

We have always had a great experience at the Flower Mound location. I recommend you dont go when they have live music if you want to visit with your spouse or friends during dinner as it is so loud you can not hear. The food is always great!

Hole in the wall kinda place. Not glamorous but the sushi was to die for. A little disappointed we couldnt take our sake to go. We werent gluttonous enough to drink the hug bottle in one sitting. Settled for the little one.

Have been coming here for years. Food is consistently very good, service is great, prices are very fair for DFW. Get to know your server, they always take care of us. Oh, and the bartenders know what they are doing
