On Saturday, August 15th 2015, we held a surprise wedding shower for our Son and future Daughter-in-law at Rio Mambo in Colleyville. Our experience was extraordinary and the food delicious!!! From the moment the planning began until the day finally arrived, all of the personnel at Rio Mambo went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. Laura Rivera greeted me and set aside the date when I first thought of Rio Mambo being the venue. Victor Gonzalez helped us in selecting a menu to fit our needs, and put our minds at ease with any questions we had right from the start and was there to manage everything!!! From table settings to a personalized printed menu, to excellent wait staff, the atmosphere in the party room (which holds approximately 50 guests) was beyond compare!!! A special thank you to Carlos, Yanira, and Lettie who were also there to assist throughout our celebration!!! We highly recommend Rio Mambo and send a huge "THANK YOU!!!" to everyone who helped make the day a wonderful and memorable one!!!

While traveling in the area, we had a variety of restaurants to choose from for dinner on a Tuesday night, and Im sure glad we chose Rio Mambo. With an extensive gluten-free menu and knowledgeable and friendly servers, I was able to order appetizers and a meal and enjoyed every bite. The serving sizes were impressive and I left full and satisfied. When visiting a restaurant, service and atmosphere are almost as important as the food itself. Rio Mambo left nothing to be wished for. Though they were busy, we were seated promptly. I never had to seek out a server for a refill or question and our plates were cleared quickly. The background music was just right, the decor was perfect and the noise level was acceptable. The cost was on the high side for a weekday meal but it was worth it for the great combination of food and service. As someone with Celiac Disease I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone on a gluten free diet or even a regular diet. You will not be disappointed!

We love this place! Were there for dinner at least once a month and often, more like 3 or 4 time a month. Ive had my wifes birthday party there and had them cater one at the house, too. All I can say about them is WoW... what a great job! Rachel, the manager is so sweet and took total care of us! Did I mention we really love this place? We just had a second birthday party catered by Rachel and Rio Mambo... and again WoW! The beef fajitas were a rave and gone quickly. Weve even had some of the guests already set up having Rachel come to do an event for them! Everything we needed was provided, Beef and Chicken fajita meat cooked in onion and peppers, Tortillas, Rice, Queso, Guacamole, Chips under a hot lamp, and even tables and tablecloths. The restaurant is awesome... the catering, maybe better!

They have a patio that is really nice because they have fans outside for when it is hot in the summer and fireplaces for when the weather gets cool. They have really good swirls and a drink called an "Attitude Adjustment" which is like a mango margarita. Fresh tasting hot sauce, really good queso - if you like it spicy, ask for their spicy queso. Their brisket or chicken/chipotle quesadillas are very good. If you are really hungry - try The Holbrook - cheese enchiladas with eggs over-easy on top, drizzled with salsa verde and then topped with spicy, tender beef fajita meat - yummy! Service is usually better inside than on the patio, however, the patio is very enjoyable for Happy Hour.

Walked in at 9:20 to catch the Cowboys game. I was promptly informed (with a smile to mask the redness) I had 5 minutes to order and eat my food.. really? I tended bar here for 4 years and you dont trae at people like this.. specially the locals who are bringing friends in. Food comes out, I tried to order a beer and the bartender informs me they have done last call.. really? You should have just told me you dont want to serve me.. long story short, it is 10:15 now. I wouldve bought 2 or 3 more beers by now, same with my party.. huge disappointment this place is no longer customer driven and my bartender has been on the corner talking to the staff while I sip on water

Myself and two other friends went there on a Saturday night around 6. Place was busy, but not too busy. Told we would have to wait 15-20 min, but was seated within 5 min. From the very beginning the service was amazing, there were instances where you didnt even get the chance to ask for more chips, water, etc. before you had a refill. Staff was very attentive and the food was delivered promptly. Food was great! Nachos and Quesadillas were a good size and could be eaten as an entrée. Overall Id say it would be pretty hard to beat the service/food at this place. A+

We come here often due to the great food and easy accommodations along with awesome service. Seating is generally always available and staff is eager to assist. Food for the price would be a 4, maybe 4.5 with other dishes I havent tried, but gave 5 stars as the convenience and service is excellent. Enchiladas are good and dishes are well timed with drinks. Open heated patio is nice. Never seen it packed, even on most Saturdays at seven. But, thats also one of the reasons I like it. Layout is big enough to accommodate large venues.

Food tasted frozen and uninteresting. The tamales were an embarrassment. Straight from the freezer; basically pre-pressed forms of soulless gruel. The hard taco was an oily mess. I couldnt finish my enchiladas due to the fact my core being couldnt press on eating this mess. And they had no sweet tea! Service was horrible. My waitress gave me a Dr. Pepper when a ordered a Coke. For what I paid I should have went to Whataburger.

Always a local favorite. RIO Mambo has a wide selection form their Brunch, Lunch and Dinner Menu. They feature 8 different margaritas and the bartender can pretty much make anything you ask. Great waitstaff and management is hands on and follows up on their guests. If you get a chance, take advantage of sitting on the patio. Great umbrellas, nice shade, pleasant scenery AND offers outdoor cooking system or overhead heating.

Just walked out after calling to get the menu and specials. We were told one thing and when arrived was told something completely different. It wouldnt be a problem if the staff AND management werent so rude and combative....we are a happy go lucky family of four and deserved better......u all lost some great customers and phenomenal tippers!!!!!! Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service!

Food is horrible, service was horrible. The fajitas were even bad and that is hard to do. The queso was bland. This place should be an attachment to a cheap motel. It wasnt just bland, the food was actually disgusting tasting. It all had a bad taste and we couldnt bare to eat it. Such a waste. Stay far far away! I dont even think any Hispanics are actually the chefs at the restaurant.

My favorite mexican restaurant Ive been to in all the DFW. Their enchiladas and rellenos are on point. Havent had anything I didnt like. Their margaritas are always made well. The managers are always friendly and catering. There are just a couple of waiters that could use some work on service but all in all my wife and I love the restaurant, atmosphere and food.
