We are going tonight. Ill update my review afterwards. But Im giving 5 stats for an engaged business owner who clearly reads their online reviews and responds to them. It means they care about their customers and take pride in their food and service. I expect my wife and I to have a great dinner. UPDATE: Our dinner was FABULOUS. We have been Benihana regulars and this place is by far better! Among the highlights: 1) Dinner at Benihana is usually a 2+ hour affair. We were not rushed at all at Kobe - the service was simply faster. Took about an hour. At Benihana you wait FOREVER for your chef to arrive. 2) The service was tops. We had prompt taking of our order, drink refills, and anything else we needed. 3) The quality was as good or better than anywhere else. Notably we ordered a vegetable tempura. Benihanas appear to be leftover or undesirable veggies. Kobes were top tier and cooked perfectly. 4) Our table chef did excellent. At other places we have noted they cook items in an order that doesnt make sense. Our chef started the chicken first but then cooked shrimp and other fast cooking items while longer cooking items like chicken finished. This resulted in more people at the table getting their food quickly and kept food on everyones plate. My wife is a shrimp eater and at other hibachi places she is left with an empty plate until last since shrimp cook fast. 5) Flavor - ingredients and seasoning were great. But we did note the food was salted a tiny bit too much. My recommendation for the owner: lower the salt content - patrons can always add salt. The mustard sauce was a good bit too salty and could be creamier with a hint more mustard. Thats precious little to complain about tho! Everything else was really spot on. 6) Price. Our meal for two, with two mixed drinks, came in around $80. And we ordered what are usually "premium" dishes like seafood and filet instead of stand strip steak. Still thats a little less than what we pay elsewhere. The restaurant wasnt quite as "fancy" as Benihana. But hey - we went for a great meal and great service and thats what we got. If you arent considering this place from what it looks like on the outside, you are missing out. But dont everyone pile on. We still want to be able to get a table on Friday and Saturday nights haha!!!

I have been to plenty of hibachi grills and this one really upset me . Way smaller portion than I have ever received . The fried rice didnt even have chicken.. which is fine but not for the price considering I pay less at hb and get chicken fried rice no extra cost . I always have left over from any other hibachi but not here.. my soup which I look forward to was not even hot mushrooms couldnt even slightly soften up in the broth. I wont be back for the simple fact that I pay for a big portion and love leftovers but instead our chef seemed to ignore my husband and I and give everyone else at the table way more because they had kids who didnt order kids plates and I dont get my plate I pay for..*!!!!!!! really upsetting when its not cheap.. Service is horrible besides the bussers who are on top of there game.. my waitress wouldnt even try and check our drinks we would have to ask.

Literally only spent 5 minutes here and it was the worse service I have ever had. Rude from the second we walked in the door. They sat us at hibachi and we ordered our food and they brought out the soup that goes with it and it tasted how imagine water taken out of a dirty fish tank would taste if you added Mushrooms and salt. We decided to cancel our order and they still made us pay for the soup that we didnt eat any of. Them we went out to the parking lot and some guy comes out accused us of stealing and not paying. My friend then went back inside to hash things out and it turned out that the idiot waiter didnt tell anyone we were leaving. They were very rude and very unprofessional. And they dont even have noodles. What japanesse place doesnt have noodles.

The food is always fantastic but tonight the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress had a bad attitude from the moment we sat down. Im not even sure of our waitresses name, she never informed us, but the receipt said April. Our first roll came out with a hair in it and our waitress acted extremely annoyed, snatched the plate away, never apologized, and didnt even have a manager come and apologize. After that when we asked for another menu to order something different she ignored us. I had to get up and get a new menu and I even had to get up and gets bowls for our soy sauce. We had to ask another waitress for dressing for our salad. The entire night was horrible. This was the worst experience Ive ever had here.

I love this restaurant. I have been many times, and for many years. The owner recognizes me and always gives me a free salad or soda when I pick up my to-go orders. They care about their customers, and know how to keep them coming back. They also know how to cook great steaks and tempura. Just writing this review makes my mouth water for their Hibachi steak, filet Mignon. It is THE best. If you have never been there, you might question the location-- its in an older shopping center in the spring side of the Woodlands, but believe me, you will be glad you went in, and the inside of the restaurant is nice.

I was lucky enough to be one of their very first customers when they first opened (back in 98 as I recall) and have been happily going back ever since! The food is always excellent, the service is first class, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming! They are not only one of the best restaurants in The Woodlands, but also in the entire greater Houston area! The portions are very robust, and you will be taking the leftovers home if you start with a delicious special roll as an appetizer! If you have not been here, you are missing out!

Went here for lunch today, food and service were great! The staff were super attentive. Also, I have been to several sushi places recently since I am new to the area... I have to say, this will be my new spot! Sushi rice was flavorful and the tuna was fresh, so so good. My husband had the lunch portion of steak with fried rice and was blown away, so its a yes from him, too. This restaurant has a great team and I cant wait to go back!
