Dont let the name deceive you by assuming that this is just another westernized Asian Fusion restaurant. The ambience is casual and laid back. They have a good selection of appetizers. We had the Fried Gyoza which was cooked to perfection. The meat stays with the wrapper after one bite. Their Fried Calamari is one of the best Ive had. Crispy and chewy soft not chewy hard. You can tell that their sushi rolls are made by someone who really had a very good training on how to make sushis rolls. It doesnt break down once you dip it on soy. Their wines are kept fresh and crisp. Would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone whos into asian fusion food or to first timers as well.

I had an awesome date night. The food and drinks were wonderful. Sean Harrold was performing. He was doing some amazing covers with his acoustic guitar. Everyone was extremely courteous. They also give a military discount but we didnt receive it because the waitress said she did not see our navy ID next to the ticket with the credit card. She replied, "Im sorry. I would have to open up a new ticket. It doesnt matter anyway. Its only 10%." Seriously!?! Well, it does matter. My husband is active duty. She has no idea how challenging military life can be. And 10% of a $95 meal. Well, sweetie. Thats your tip. We had a very enjoyable evening.

Very awful Udon & Don. The chef must have used too much soy bean sauce in the udon soup, which is really disturbing. the selection vegetable in the soup do not match with the soy bean taste and the noodles are painfully salty. the Don is nowhere near or even close to the genuine Japanese version, which should normally be a hot plate of rice covered in choices of meat. the Don here, however, is cold. more like A expanded but wierd-tasting sushi. The wasabi of red tuna is not very fresh, the fly fish eggs taste out-dated.

My first experience there was on Monday around 1:30 with quick easy seating. We had the Kobe burger, chicken soba, and three roll combo all part of the lunch deals that runs until 3. We loved the burger and my wife enjoyed the noodles although I didnt try any myself. We liked the rolls but I think next time Ill try some of the higher end ones or some sashimi. Everything wasnt perfect but it was all good, our waiter was nice/quick, nice surroundings, and we left full with a take home box full for just over $40.

Read great reviews so decided to order some sushi to go.Called at 9:46 PM and a lady answered and said that they stop taking orders at 9:45 pm (really 1 minute difference?).I decided to drive there and arrived at 9:50 PM since i was already close by and that same lady with blonde/ brunette hair said they were not taking orders anymore.I understand it was close to closing time but dont advertise a certain closing time and then not honor it.

I have been a customer here for approx a year. I dine here every Friday and sometimes on Saturday. The food is fresh and great. The staff is friendly especially the sushi makers behind the counter. Im not too fond of Management (Sam) and Asst. Manager (young lady with mixed blonde and Brunette hair). They dont have friendly demeanor to be in management. However; if you overlook their rudeness you will enjoy the food and service.

Ive never seen sushi rolls with so little fish ever. I am am avid sushi eater and Ive seen a lot of different things but giving me the smallest rolls ever with hardly any fish. I thought this was sushi not rice. Im really disappointed bc they are so close to my new apartment. The chef did make me a new one though which was nice. But ill stick with driving 30 mins to downtown Houston for good sushi.

Favorite sushi spot in town, definitely North Houston. The owner is a really nice guy. Ive been a dining at this spot for a while and every time he sees me he goes outside of his way to have me try something new alot of times free of charge. very personable and the food is very good. The restaurant is very comfortable. highly suggest anybody to go check out.

Very solid Asian fusion restaurant. The sushi quality is good, could be better, could get larger slices of fish for what you pay. I hate all of the stupid giant rolls that you get is those are all bullshit. The food out of the kitchen is very good and the drinks at the bar are good as well. Excellent waiting service. Terrific staff.

Went here for lunch and it was very good. Prices were fair. Great atmosphere. The place was clean. Service was very fast, which was good since my lunch break is only an hour. My waiter checked on me often and made sure I always had plenty of tea, also offered a tea to go when I was ready to go. I will definitely eat here again.

Great sushi and other options. The waiters here are fast and kind no matter how packed it is. My only issue is that some employes have a hard time understanding you, and that the location can get pretty tight depending on how many people are there. Either way, this is a great location with some of the best sushi around.

Rising Sun is a hit or miss. I must admit I am a sushi snob. Ive had better, but Ive had worse as well. Pricing and service are adequate and the location is great for Humble residents. If I dont feel like driving downtown and craving sushi Ill go here, but its never my first choice.

Great sushi place in the North east humble area. There is a lunch combo menu if you work around this area. Of course you cant compare to the more authentic Japanese place in downtown or Midtown but it is good enough. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Best Sushi in the NE Houston/Humble area! Big menu, sushi is always fresh, great drink menu. Come as a family, for happy hour, date night, GNO, or just to enjoy an evening out. Great atmosphere for any occasion. You can sit at the bar and enjoy the game too.

Food is great, wait staff is nice and friendly, a little inattentive, they forgot to bring my philly roll, and I had to stop someone to get a refill.... But.... After all that went wrong, I will definitely be coming back as the food is that good.

The best Japanese restaurant in the area. They have great sushi, great teriyaki and dumplings and very friendly and good service. The sushi bar here is very accommodating and has no problems tweaking rolls or making ones entirely off menu.
